CHAPTER SEVEN

THE word unexpected was written on Kylie's face. She did not expect Joshua to kiss her. She felt weird at the same time because she was not able to fight Joshua. It was not normal for her to freeze while someone was abusing her lips.

She only shuddered when she remembered what happened between her and Joshua. For the first time, she was unable to fight a man. She did not know if her young master had found out about her secret. She could only rub her face with her bare hands.

"Come on, that man does not suspect me anymore, Kylie said to herself. "It was just an accident between us."

Kylie blushed when she remembered the slow movement of Joshua's lips over hers. She even had to slap herself to erase the kiss they shared in her memories.

Meanwhile ...

The same thing happened to Joshua during that time. He also could not understand himself why he was able to kiss Kyle. He did not know what attraction he saw in his butler.

"Do not expect that I will get something from him." Joshua said to himself. "Kyle is a man. He is also looking for a woman."

The young man did not suspect that a pair of eyes already followed him at that time. A mischievous smile can be immediately seen on its lips, proving that it knew what happened to the two.

"I guess I'm going crazy with my thoughts." Joshua said in self -conviction.

"You'll never know if it's love or craziness if you don't try to find out, Joshua," Don Emilio said with a smile as he watched the two young people leave the mansion.

"ARE you sure it's okay for Joshua to witness Kyle's transformation?" Elisha asked as she met Don Emilio. "I mean he would be pretending she's a woman?"

"Well, I don't see anything wrong with it." Don Emilio's calm answer. "I need Kyle to make sure I can discipline Joshua properly."

"I know that I don't have any right to tell you but it seems like you put too much trust in your butler." Elisha saifld. "I do not even think you know him very well yet."

"Elisha, Elisha, Elisha. I know you're just worried about your nephew." Don Emilio told her. "But I assure you that Kyle is a responsible man. He won't let Joshua down."

"Even though you know he's also an assassin?" Elisha asked again. "You can't deny that fact because I know who my peers are."

"And so? Everyone is changing and leaving their old life." Don Emilio answered. "Even if Kyle is brutal to my son, I know he won't abuse my son's weakness."

"What if Kyle was just pretending?" Elisha asked.

Don Emilio frowned, "Who is pretending to be who?"

"What if he's just pretending to be a man?" Elisha asked again.

Don Emilio just smiled at what he heard, "And do you think I don't know that thing?"

Elisha just let out a faint 'Huh?' to her companion. She still couldn’t understand her brother’s logic even though they had passed the time.

"You'll never know what's really on my mind even after many years have passed between the two of us." Don Emilio convinced the woman. "There are just things you cannot change with someone like me. You know, craziness runs in our blood as a family."

"Are you okay with the setup na ---"

"... as long as Joshua is fine with it, I won't give a damn." Said Don Emilio.

THE days passed quickly and the occasion came. Kylie was sure she did not want to go as a woman. Just thinking about how she would look like scared her especially when was more used to acting as a man. Yes, she was a lady, but she was not born to personify that characteristic. She was used to a world where what she saw was pure brutal carnage.

That's why when she saw a makeup artist, she quickly hid like a ninja. She made sure that not even her shadow could be seen inside the mansion. Her heart almost jumped out when she felt the vibration of her phone. She breathed a sigh of relief when she saw someone texting her

"Oi Kyle! Wer are u? We r already looking 4 u!"

Kylie was just stunned by what she read, "The phone is already Android but his texting style is not updated! Doesn't he know how to spell his words correctly?"

Instead of answering that text, she just hid the phone in her pocket again. She was not sure if it was Joshua who texted at that time or not. She thought it would also be good for her if she doubted the young man especially he knew that she would transform as a lady. She rolled her eyes when she felt the successive vibrations of her phone. As expected Joshua was calling. She had no other choice but to answer that.

"Where are you?" Joshua asked her immediately.

"Outside."

"Outside? You mean, you are hiding to your makeup artist?" Joshua asked again.

"No, I just bought something." Kylie knew she was lying. "I'll be right back, soon."

"You should just come back. I'll take you with me tonight."

"Yes. Don't remind me and I'll be right back." Kylie lied again.

Kylie was unaware that Joshua was just using that call to track her location. Well, he didn’t know why hhe seemed so excited to see Kyle transform as a woman. When he made sure that his butler did not actually leave the mansion, he gave a signal to his companion to enter Kylie's room.

Kylie was shocked when the door to her room suddenly opened. She was not even able to escape because her movements were immediately prevented. Her instincts as an assassin did not work at that time. She only saw an evil grin on Joshua's face before she lost consciousness.

After a few hours...

Kylie woke up when she felt something soft on her face.

"It's good that Ateng is awake!" the makeup artist said in an excited tone. "In fairness, it's not hard to put on makeup when you're asleep!"

"I'm a boy." Kylie said. "Is is not obvious?" she asked lowering her voice at that moment.

"Gurl, no matter what you do secretly, your secret will still come out. You're a real woman," the makeup artist said to the lady. "You're just lucky because I won't tell your secret."

"What do you expect in return for hiding my secret?" Kylie asked.

"There's no replacement. Gosh, I'm used to that." The makeup artist replied once winking at her. "Just make sure your boss will fall for you as you look good together. That's a known thing."

Kylie had just turned to the makeup artist before she even stared into the mirror. She was even surprised when she did not recognize her own reflection. She felt like there was another woman in front of her at that time.

"You are that lady. You are really nice promise."

Kylie just took a deep breath before she even spoke, "You can go now."

"Sure. Enjoy the night, gurl."

When the makeup artist left, Kylie took a gun that was just inside her drawer and put it on a thigh strap that she would attach to her thigh.

"Better to be safe than sorry." Her mind whispered as she attached it to her thigh.

When she was sure she was looking good, she went out immediately to look for Joshua. She didn't have to look for her young master anymore because she saw him right away.

As expected, Joshua was almost stunned when he saw Kylie in her feminine form. His butler was attractive and sexy in her evening gown. He just swallowed when his eyes were fixed on her chest.

"Are we leaving yet?" Kylie immediately asked him.

Joshua didn't answer right away and instead touched his butler's chest.

"Okay ah. Your chest looks real ah!" Joshua immediately commented earned a strong rebuke from Kylie

"Just shut up and let's g." Kylie said as her stoic nature covered up the annoyance she felt because Joshua almost touched her chest.

Joshua just chuckled at Kylie's reaction at that time, thinking that the 'young man' was just sensitive to what he did.

"Relax, I did nothing malicious to you." Said Joshua. "We're both men, aren't we?"

"I don't know about you," Kylie replied weakly before she even walked ahead.

Since she was not used with heels and gown, Kylie still had difficulty walking. The young man still needed to support her to make sure she did not fall at that time.

Kylie's instincts only returned as an assassin when they arrived at the venue where the formal party would take place. With the amount of familiar faces she saw she was sure over half of those people came to hire her as an assassin. Her instincts became even stronger when she saw an assassin who was already watching Joshua's movements.

"Are you okay?" Joshua immediately asked his companion.

"Yeah. I'm just not used to a lot of people while wearing this," Kylie replied apologetically. "I prefer my butler uniform."

Joshua just smiled and supported the lady to the dance floor, "This is the only way to get rid of the uneasiness you are wearing."

Even before Kylie could speak, Joshua danced for her. Every step seemed magical for her especially when Joshua had become more gentle in leading their dance. Her uneasiness was gone from her brain because she just let the young man take her with the flow of the music she was hearing.

"What will you do in case I confess something to you?" Joshua immediately asked her.

"Depends on what you will confess." Kylie answered in a hushed tone. "What will you confess just in case?"

"I don't know. I'm still a little clueless right now."

"Huh ?! You're fine too ah." Said Kylie. "Just avoid opening your mouth. You are a messy talker."

"It's not like that, I just want to confirm something first before that happens."

Even before Kylie could ask, Joshua lifted her face. She felt the young man's hot breath across her face. A few more seconds passed and she could already feel the texture of his lips on hers. Kylie froze when she felt Joshua kissing her in the middle of the dance floor.

"Now I am sure of it," Joshua said when he stopped kissing the girl. "I really want you and I don't give a damn if I'm gay in your eyes."
