Chapter 30

Mason's Pov: Part two

Aria was angry at strigoi because of the situation, she was determined to defeat them as she got ready with the sword and silver stake in her hand killing the whole group in just a few seconds. She helped granny and Blair as she was done. We were done with those who attacked us as well.

Aria was concentrating on a way to get inside the cave as we got ready to deal with a load of oncoming ones. We were in a survival situation at the moment. Aria reminded herself to fight for the justice of the people as she ran ahead slashing the opponents catching them off guard and not giving them any chance to shift.

Aria was praying to the “Moon Goddess” while still fighting strigoi. While fighting she bumped into the boulder beside the cave and then we could hear the sound of it opening. We quickly finished off the strigoi in front of us as the gate opened allowing us to enter the place.

We hurried inside the cave it was dark inside with no light but, with our exceptional senses, it wasn’t a problem. We entered a pass and could see the light at its end maybe this is the place where the special cells are located. Aria and granny both could sense their family here.

We came out of the passage in a well-lit living room there was a door ahead. It seems that door would lead us to the cells. We cautiously went ahead and opened the door only to find a corridor full of silver cells, there were five people in different cells at the end of the corridor.

Aria told us we need to hurry and rescue them before her uncles get here, I told them we will have to see what condition they are in as well. We hurried to the end finding the family members locked in different cells with silver chains around them. All of them were in a half-conscious state with lots of wounds.

We have to find the keys to retrieve them we went back to the living room searching for the keys. A minute later Aria found them on the hidden shelf in the corner. We went ahead and opened the cells with the keys and managed to get Blair and Aria’s family out but, silver chains and cells had burned our hands making healing slow.

We took them on our backs going back to the living room as her uncle's scent was getting closer. Shit, they are here. We were at the end of the living room finding a way to open the cave door again so we could get out but, we were too late. Her uncles were already here and had put the others except for me and Aria under command.

On top of that, we were attacked with arrows and had to save others as they couldn’t move. They smirked and pushed a button turning the walls into a pointed wall that was closing in on us. Aria was angry and put them in command and searched for the exit. She unknowingly pressed the single button that opened the door before the pointed walls crashed.

We escaped her uncles but, the strigoi awaited us and attacked us as soon as we were out. We fought them for some time before Aria got fed up with it and suggested we should teleport to the place from where we started. All of us were in agreement and teleported quickly holding hands.

We slashed the few little ones that tagged along. Aria mind-linked Luna to open the barrier for us to get in, and they were on their way to open the barrier. We were on our guard for safety purposes until we saw the barrier open once again. We took turns getting out of the forbidden forest. Once we all got in Luna closed the barrier.

We put our weapons away and thanked Alpha and Luna for helping us out. Aria also thanked them as she was able to find her family because of their help. Alpha was delighted to help us in any way. I asked him if we could teleport back from here. He gave us the confirmation and in no time we were back at the castle.

Ethan saw us and hurried to get medical help. All the injured ones were taken care of but they were still unconscious. I asked Ethan about the current situation of the war and he told me that there were no casualties yet. My father and his father were leading the soldiers. Ethan told me that King Arthur have been planning something.

Prince Caleb suggested that his father was going to take soldiers in command and attack us. He will even try to harm Aria’s parents in any way. He was right, Aria got into action right away instructing Ethan to get Anna her family as well as her parents and my mom here.

She wanted us to be together in case we get attacked. Soon enough we all were gathered in one room and on the lookout. Prince Caleb sensed a battalion of soldiers near the castle and warned us to be ready as they were going to attack us any moment. We could feel them getting near our room, Aria was so anxious that her body started burning and her aura was spreading around very fast.

The very next moment the door was pushed open by the werewolf soldiers, they were under the command but, couldn’t get near or past Aria as her aura threatened them. Scram, one word from her had them go back. I was asking her to calm down but it was of no use her aura was spreading everywhere. It spread throughout our kingdom and the werewolf kingdom at some point.

She was feeling dizzy from the sudden energy flowing through her body. She had not healed completely yet and, the use of energy was exhausting her to a large extent. She was at her limit but, still wanted to stop the war she didn’t want anyone harmed. Aria used her last strength to give the command “Retreat”.

A moment later both sides' soldiers retreated we were surprised that her command worked on both sides and that the war had come to an end. When she felt everything was alright strength left her body and she was about to fall. Thankfully Ethan was near her and caught her in time. He handed her to me, she was completely drained because of excess use of energy. It will take time for her to regain consciousness. I was worried about her health and sat beside her. All of us were relieved as the war had come to an end without bloodshed.

I could feel the burning in her veins calming down as her breathing evened. She was turning back to normal, I hope she wakes up soon. Her transformation had helped us a lot but, it was a very painful experience for her. The more power a person has their transformation will be much painful as well. She will learn in time to control her powers, and as the number of times, she transforms will increase the pain will reduce comparably.

I will always be there to help her when she goes through that phase again. Now, she also has her parents who will help and explain her powers to her. I am so happy that she can reunite with her family after so many years.
