Chapter 28

We heard the sound of it opening again. The door was opening and we could sense the strigoi waiting for us outside. Uncles were trying to resist the command but couldn't.

We could rush out of the place before the pointed wall crashed. The strigoi were ready for us, and as soon as we got out they attacked us. Our situation was worse as they were huge in numbers.

Fresh wounds were attracting more, making it difficult for us to manage our family and strigoi at once. We couldn't even use both hands to tackle them as one hand was used for supporting the ones on our backs.

One hand had a silver stake that is the only weapon we could use for now. Though the little ones that could turn into insects were still a big problem. Damn! They are so intent on injuring us. Trying to gnaw at us every chance they get.

We continued staking them in the heart and moving forward. With our exceptional ability, it wasn't much of a problem to carry our parents. But, the silver from the cells and chains had injured our hands slowing down the blows as they were not healed yet.

We are safe from King Arthur and his cousin for now as they are struck by "Alpha command". I don't think they will follow us outside and risk their lives. We were moving forward while tackling strigoi on our way back.

It was too much and we were feeling exhausted from continuous fighting, healing, and silver hurting us. I decided to mind-link everyone and ask them if we should teleport back to the barrier from where we started.

It could be possible now as we no longer have to search for anything. When we came here we couldn't teleport as we didn't know where to find our parents. But, now we have our parents with us.

"Guys, can we teleport to the barrier directly instead of walking down there? I inquired."

"Yeah sure, that way we will be able to get out of this place faster, everyone agreed."

As all of us were ready we held each other's hands and quickly teleported to where we started our journey in this forbidden forest. Looks like a few little strigoi tagged along with us. We easily staked them, killing them on the spot.

Others were on the lookout while I was trying to contact Luna of the shifter territory to open the barrier for us to get out of this forest.

I managed to contact her and ask her to open the barrier to let us back inside. She was on her way here with her mate to open the border.

We were looking out for strigoi as we waited for the barrier to open again. Surprisingly there were not any around as we teleported here quickly and it will take a bit more time for them to get here from where they are. Still, we have to keep our guard up.

A while later we could see the barrier slowly opening once again. We entered it one by one and finally managed to get out of the forest. Now we were in shifters' territory. That was a relief, for now. We returned the weapons and were on the way toward Alpha and Luna of the territory.

“Thank you Alpha and Luna of the Shifter’s territory, we appreciate your help to find out the previous “Alpha king” and his Luna. Mason acknowledged.”

“Thank you Alpha and Luna, I can’t thank you enough because of you my friend Blair and me were finally able to meet our family and we are grateful for that. I added.”

“It’s a pleasure to be able to help Prince Mason and Princess Aria. Alpha Carson gladly accepted.”

“We will be taking our leave now Alpha and Luna, I hope you won’t mind if we teleport to the “Vampire Kingdom” from here. Mason enquired.”

“Go ahead, I won’t mind you all teleporting to the kingdom. Alpha Carson agreed.”

We gave Alpha and Luna a final bow before holding hands and teleporting to the Vampire Kingdom. We were able to teleport inside the castle successfully. Ethan saw us in the corridor and rushed to call the medics. In no time our family members were provided treatment.

When our parents were undergoing treatment we went out with Ethan leaving granny with them. We have to know what is the situation between the two kingdoms.

“What is the situation at the battlefield? Mason asked Ethan.”

“King and my dad are leading the soldiers, there aren’t any casualties or serious ones at the moment, the King Arthur is planning something at the moment. Ethan described.”

“Maybe my dad is planning to take the soldiers under his command and force them to attack the castle directly as he knows we got King Arnold and his Luna here. He won’t leave a chance to try and harm them. Prince Caleb declared.”

“We will have to be on the alert and not leave anyone behind. Ethan, mind getting Anna, her parents, and my parents in one room? Get the Queen here as well. I ordered.”

“Sure, I will go get them right away. Ethan accepted.”

“Thanks, I appreciate it. I told him.”

Ethan rushed to get Anna’s and my family here with Mason’s mother.

We decided to stay together in a room in case of any attacks. The medics have already patched up their wounds. Blair and my family were still healing and unconscious. All of us were happy to have them back. We just have to keep them safe until they are in good health. Our wounds from silver have started to heal as well.

I still felt anxious from all the adrenaline rush before when we were fighting strigoi. I was pacing the room as I knew they would attack us at any moment. Mason was talking with me through our mind link telling me to take deep breaths as I am on the edge. I don’t want anyone harmed because of me.

Prince Caleb, Ethan, Mason, and me were on watch while others rested. Blair and granny were hurt by the strigoi attacks so, we persuaded them to take it easy for now. Prince Caleb was trying to locate the battalion of werewolf soldiers.

“Everyone get ready I can sense them near the castle, they can attack any second. Prince Caleb warned us.”

We were ready my heart was thumping loudly in anticipation of the attack. We could feel them getting near the room we all were in. I felt a burning sensation all over my body. What is happening to me during this crucial movement? Am I shifting right now? A second later I could feel a heavy aura surrounding me, It seems my alpha powers are coming forth at the moment.

My aura is going to give us away. I was still new to transformations and using my powers. How do I stop my aura? I was panicking inside when the door burst open and werewolf soldiers got in. Calm yourself Aria I heard Mason say to me but I couldn’t stop. My aura was like a shield that wasn’t allowing the soldiers to get past or near me.

The soldiers were under the command of King Arthur and trying to move forward only to get threatened by my aura. They couldn't move and were stuck in the place. They are under my aura now and would follow me if I command them.

“Scram, I commanded them.”

Without delay, the soldiers hurried out of the room retracting their steps unable to resist my command. My aura was spreading to a large extent and I couldn’t stop it. It was like my alpha side have been acting on its own. I no longer controlled the power, it was controlling me.

I could feel it spread to the extent of the castle and head to the battleground further spreading to the ‘Werewolf Kingdom’ like it has a mind of its own. It was accompanied by a burning sensation in my whole body and felt like a volcano was erupting inside me and lava was flowing through my veins. My body was on fire internally. The energies flowing through me were too much to handle.

These powers were taking too much of my energy. I could feel the people under my aura being unable to move. One command and I could stop this war I told myself. I was getting lightheaded due to everything that was happening but still forced myself to give the command.

“Retreat, I ordered both sides of troops on the battlefield.”

A while later I could feel both troops withdrawing the battle and returning to their sides. I was able to command both werewolf and vampire soldiers surprisingly. A wave of relief washed over me as I was able to stop the war somehow. The next second everything went blurry for me and I collapsed. Ethan who was closest to me caught me and handed me to Mason.
