Chapter 73 Stay For The Night

Chapter 73 Stay For The Night

Moments passed by so slowly, Cara took more than enough time to stare at the image of perfection staying on one knee right in front of her.

When she realized that her heart was about to explode from all the excitement that was traveling through her body, she jerked her hand from his face with an abruptness and her elbow went straight for her glass.

She drew back a breath of shock upon noticing what she had done, "oh dear!" She exclaimed and tried to catch the glass but its content ended up spilling on the table. "Ah! I'm so sorry..."

Jerking back to avoid the wine from spilling on her dress, she knocked her chair over with a loud clatter and reached for that one too but it had already touched the ground.

"Sorry, for that, I'm so sorry for ruining dinner." She instantly apologized, her eyes taking up the mess she had created around her.

She heard a muffled laughter and she looked up from the mess, only to realize Romeo was now on his feet as well, staring at her with a hand over his mouth, trying so desperately not to laugh.

"Are you... Are you okay?" He tried to hold back his laugh. He moved closer to her. "Did you-- did you get wine on you?"

She pouted. "Not funny Romeo." She let her eyes roll upward.

"Yes. I'm sorry. Are you okay? Will you need to change your clothes?" He asked her, still smiling but successfully managing to suppress his laughter.

"I don't think so. I didn't get any wine on me." She looked down at her clothes as she spoke just to make sure she was right.

Romeo picked up her chair and set it properly for her. "Excuse me while I get a mopping stick."

"Oh thank you. I'll soak up the wine on the table." She reached for a napkin mid explanation and began to wipe the wet stains on the table.

Romeo left and returned seconds later with a mop to soak up the wine on the table.

After cleaning the mess Cara had made, they resumed to eating and Cara went ahead to do the dishes when they were done.

Romeo helped wipe and arrange as she washed.

"You really don't have to help me do this." She said for the hundred time while washing the dishes.

Romeo had a gentle smile on his face. "And I told you that I wish to help you. I wouldn't mind you resting while I did all the dishes anyway."

"And what kind of girlfriend would that make me? You cooked, the least I could do was to wash the dishes on my own." She explained to him.

"It's alright. Next time, you will do the cooking and we will share dish duty if you like too. But since I came over to your place to cook, will you come to mine?" His brow arched slightly as he asked.

She simply smiled. She wasn't so sure she could face the powerful and-- heaven knows if royal-- Armani family just yet.

They had too many rules to be a regular family. They looked like they ought to be sitting on a throne!

After dish duty, a short movie and then it was time for Romeo to head back home. He obviously was reluctant to leave, even if they didn't do anything, at least to sleep in each other's arms.

But he was more than willing to take things at her pace.

"Thanks for having me over today. An in date was such a great idea." He said with a pleasantly molded smile on his face.

She gave him a smile that was just as pleasant. "Thank you for coming over."

He took a step closer to her, his arms wrapping around her waist all of a sudden and pressed his lips against hers.

His kiss was as light as the touch of a feather yet with a magnitude high enough to send sparks through her entire body.

From one soft and light kiss to a deep and tongue dancing kind. He explored her mouth with his tongue, his hand greedily pulling her to his body.

Her hands were wrapped around his neck, her entire weight placed on her tippy toes as she reached higher to deepen the kiss.

He suddenly broke it and looked into her eyes. "I should probably go, I don't think I will be able to hold myself if I spend the night here with you."

She stared back into his eyes, affection burning not just in them but her entire body, causing heat to suddenly fill her up.

She bit down on her lower lip and pressed her chest against his. "Do you... Do you have to leave?" She hesitantly asked. "No one is asking you to hold back."

He stared at her for a moment as if surprised by her words but then the next, he stole her from her feet and carried her in his arms, kissing her like his entire life depended on it.

Passion burning through their entire bodies, their touches, ravaging kisses, neither wished to pull apart from each other, not even for a breather.

Their tongues clashed together and Romeo stole soft bites from her lips.

He found his way to her bedroom and generously spread her onto the large and soft bed. Their lips finally parted and he stared into her eyes as if seeking extra permission before eating her up.

His body ached to be on hers, his hands waited impatiently to feel up her figure like never before. His entire self was inpatient to take her up and make love to her till tomorrow.

She pulled him down to herself with her hands that were fixed firmly on his neck, stealing a kiss and then another and then another.

For the first time in forever, Cara felt grateful for how slowly the time passed by. She let him eat her up the way he had done his meal.
