Chapter 156 Destroy Her
Jessica sat cross legged in the living room, joyfully sipping on a glass of orange juice, when Sarah walked in.
Sarah decided to ignore the woman sitting on the couch in her living room but the smug smile on Jessica's face was far too much for her to ignore.
She stopped and arched a brow. "What's got you all smiles? Did you win a lottery?"
Jessica let out a soft chuckle. "Oh darling, what i won is more than a lottery. I found out something more juicy than this glass of orange juice in my hand and I am wondering how I am going to use it."
Sarah was intrigued now. She knew that whenever Jessica knew something, it meant there was trouble for her somewhere somehow. She could already smell the smoke.
Her brow arched further in curiosity. "What could you possibly know? Did you finally realize how much of a btch you are?"
Jessica's laugh rang in the air as she rose to her feet. She dropped her glass on the table and stood with her back straightened, meeting with Sarah's gaze.
Sarah stood unshaken, though dying of fear and curiosity on the inside. She kept her gaze stern, peering into Jessica's soul but all she came across was blackness and evil.
Jessica's hands rested on her hips, her smug smile never leaving her face for once. "Chris really is your son, persistent but also dumb. Foolishly going after Cara now that she has a name of her own while forgetting every other duty of his.
"You also lost track of what to focus on, rather than working towards keeping your dirty little secret from seeing the light of day and keeping your family together, you focused on me, trying to ruin me and push me out of this house but guess what?"
She paused, taking a step towards Sarah and then another. And another. Her voice ran low yet carried the heaviness of the threat in her words. "I have the upper hand and you are going to lose your spot in this house."
Sarah's eyes squinted, lost in confusion, she asked. "What the hell are you talking about about you rotten hell btch?!"
"Oh!" Jessica giggled softly. "Feisty! I like it. If only this feistiness is enough to keep you here. You know... I feel sad that you will be leaving soon, who will I have to argue with every time?"
Sarah was drowned in confusion, yet fear caused beads of sweat to ornament her forehead. She did not know what Jessica was talking about, maybe because she had too many little and big secrets.
Both enough to kick her out of the Knowles family.
Jessica let out a sigh, a sigh of relief, and made to walk away as she said, "it would have been nice knowing you if only you weren't such a dumb as btch--"
Sarah grabbed her by the forearm and pulled her back. "Where the fck do you think you are going after saying such things to me?"
Jessica shrugged her arm free with a grunt, her face contorted into a frown. "What secret do you have that you think is big enough to get you kicked out for good?!"
Sarah's eyes stared at nothingness, trying to pick out the biggest secret she could think of. But her mind fell into shambles, fear contorted her face into an ugly expression and her heart refused to slow down.
'What does she know? What does she know? What does she know?!'
She yelled in her head, panicking on the inside while keeping still on the outside.
A scoff of disdain left Jessica's mouth. She rolled her eyes frantically, wondering, how many secrets does this wench have?
But she did not have time for useless games, she had a reason for her waiting up to talk to her that night and she was going to make sure she achieved it.
"Your husband knows he is not the real father of Chris." Jessica confessed, her tone soft and gentle but enough to cause Sarah to want to go insane.
"What...? What nonsense are you spewing? What do you... What do you mean that--"
"Don't try to pretend cause it is way too late. Chris knows too." Jessica added fuel to the flame in Sarah's head.
Sarah barked. "What?! But-- but how?! How did they--"
"That's none of my business. All I know is they know and I know too." Jessica cut her off. Her smug smile returned, overflowing with her evil intentions. "And as long as I know... You could say the whole world knows too, right? Also, your husband is relying on my decision to know what to do with you. I wonder what I will tell him..."
Sarah's ears pricked, her heart paced, her mind blanked. She dropped to her knees, gripping on to Jessica's skirt. "Please! I will do anything you want me to do! I promise! I will do anything just please! Tell my husband not to kick me out and also... Don't tell any other living soul!"
Jessica could not believe the scene that was playing out before her eyes. Did Sarah really just drop to her knees? She did not know how to react to it, it was so sudden.
But it pleased her more than anything in the entire world. She had conquered, finally. All family members in the palm of her hands, of course except for her stupid husband. She almost rolled her eyes at the thought of it.
Sarah could not believe herself either, she was on her knees for her vile daughter in law. But she knew Jessica well and she knew that she could come out with the secret if she said she would.
She also knew that her husband was foolish enough to depend on Jessica so she would be their little pawn, their puppet on a string for as long as they wanted her to be.
Jessica slapped her hand away from her skirt and sat back down on her seat. Taking a sip from her glass once more, she placed it back on the table and said, "I want you to destroy Cara and make sure not even crumbles remains, then, Chris will finally come back to me."
