Chapter 132 Being Rosy
His face was decorated with a dark grin, his deep black eyes never left Jessica's. His psychotic grin sent chills down her spine and it made her shiver to know that he had completely undressed her in his head.
She swallowed, closing her eyes for a second to regain her calmness before opening them again and looking at him. "What are you doing here? Why are you even around this place? Are you not supposed to disappear?" Her thin brow arched as she asked him.
"Oh..." the man picked up the glass of gin in front of him and downed it in one go. With a gentle sigh, he turned to look at her, "so that's what I was supposed to do. I didn't remember." He responded, still with a grin on his face.
"Cut it out and be serious for once in your God damned life!" She spat out angrily.
Heads turned towards their table and whispers and murmurs flew about. Jessica forced a chuckle to ease the people that were looking at her then let out a deep sigh to control her rising temper.
"Relax." The man said to her in a more firm tone than before. He no longer had a smile on his face, without the twisted grin, he looked appealing enough to the eyes.
With his thick black brows hanging over blue pearls of eyes and deep orange lips all fitted perfectly in his head. His hair was jet black, falling over his face and reaching out to his shoulders.
"You look terrible." He commented, pouring himself another glass of gin. "I guess things aren't as rosy as you thought they would be."
"Mind your own business Jayden." She responded with a frantic roll of her eyes.
"That is exactly what I am doing. Minding my own business." He stared at her like he was referring to her as his business that he was minding.
She grunted softly. "Let's just skip to the point, why are you here? It has only been a year and you are already breaking our deal? Is this how unreliable you are?" Her voice was low as she spoke but her anger was evident.
Jayden let out a scoffed laughter. He poured the gin down his throat, the burning sensation sending goosebumps down his back. With a sigh, he spoke up. "I am not breaking any deal, I said I would leave but I never mentioned for how long. We never even sighed any papers or anything back then, you just pleaded with me not to tell the truth and sent me off with some change."
"Change?!" She barked out almost instantly. "You are referring to five million dollars as change? Do you know what I went through to get the money for you back then?"
"Yeah that was back then. Now, you have more so I have come to collect." There was a gentle smile playing on his face.
"Collect?" Her eyes squinted.
He nodded his head. "Yeah, collect. You possibly cannot think that i will keep such a huge secret for five million dollars now did you? I know that's the worth of that small purse in your hand. What do you take me for, Jessy?"
She felt her body tense up. "Don't call me that." She responded through gritted teeth. Her nails dug into the purse in her hand as she clutched onto it tightly. "You are not collecting anything–"
His hands suddenly found her throat and gripped it tight. "Listen here pretty face," he grunted softly, "do you think you can walk over me now that you have a pretty rich boy as a husband? Huh? Is that what you think?"
Jessica held his hand that was around her throat and tried to peel it away but his grip was tight. He was so close that most people would think they were just cuddling having the fact that his other hand was firmly around her waist as well.
She could not scream for help even if she wanted to. But she did not want to, not when he knew something so vital that could change her life.
Tears stung at her eyes and caused them to turn crimson while she silently pleaded for her life.
"Well think again!" He spat out at her face as his grip tightened.
Jayden let out a soft laugh and slowly unclenched his hand from around her throat. He watched her as she groaned softly and grunted while trying to fill her lungs with air.
When she was finally calm, he reached out and tucked her hair behind her ear. "Sorry," he said softly. "You know how angry I can get so learn to use your words wisely."
Jessica sat there shaken like a cat caught in a rain as tears flowed down her cheeks. Just when she believed that things would get better for her, she just had to bump into a psychopath as her ex boyfriend.
She knew she had to stay calm, she had to play by his rules, or else everything she had worked so hard for would come crumbling to dust.
A shiver ran down her spine as she felt his hand caress her face, wiping away her tears. She wanted to shrug off his touch but she had to be sensible at that moment to avoid calamity.
"How much do you want now?" She demanded in a low tone, her hands clutching on to her skirt this time.
A smile rested on Jayden's lips. "That's my girl. You know, before we discuss prices..." his hand slowly trailed down from her face down to her shoulders and then her chest, slowly reaching for her brast, "it has been a whole year since I saw you last..." he bit onto his lower lip, "i have missed the look on your face whenever I choke you. And don't even think of telling me no because I know that you cheat on your husband occasionally. Surely you will make an exception for me right?" He arched his brow.
She felt her skin crawl. The thought of sleeping with a monster as him once again made her want to retract into a shell if only she had one.
She swallowed hard.
