Chapter 124 Forever Was Not Enough

Chapter 124 Forever Was Not Enough
Cara woke up with a lazy yawn, she wished she could lay back in bed even though she was not sleeping, just to relax her body.

The scent of something mouthwaterinly delicious caught her nose and she just had to get up from bed. She picked up her phone and checked the time, it was a little after eight. She could not help but to wonder why she was awake so early.

Going to the living room, the scent enticed her more and compelled her to move towards the large area dedicated to the kitchen. To her surprise, a handsome man was standing in front of the stove with an spron around his waist.

He had all his attention fixed on the pancake he was flipping. His emerald green eyes were so focused that the pancake was to afraid to burn.

She stared at him in silence for a moment and more. His perfectly built back and broad shoulders was enough to make her mouth water. She still found it hard to believe that such a man belonged to her and her alone. She would never have to share him romantically with another woman ever.

"I'm afraid i might melt if you keep staring at me like that." Romeo said to her without taking his eyes off of what he was doing.

She felt a little startled by his comment, she had not believed that he had seen her. How did he even see her without even raising his head up to look at her in the first place? Not to mention he had not even turned around at all.

He had probably heard her coming. That was her conclusion. She smiled and came into view properly, standing in front of the counter that stood as the only thing between the both of them.

Romeo finally turned around but only after turning off the cooking stove and a gentle smile worked up on his face. "Good morning my ray of sunshine."

Cara felt her cheeks flush. They had turned red. How was she not yet used to getting such sweet compliments from him?

She leaned on the counter and smiled back at him. "Good morning, you look so hot right now. Do you know that?"

"I think every man looks hot in an apron." He responded and they both shared a soft laugh.

"Not quite." Cara commented. She stood up straight and leaned towards Romeo instead. Her gesture made him lean forward towards her and place a kiss on her lips.

"I didn't know you would stay to make me breakfast. Don't you have important work to do today?" She asked him as she sat herself down on the chair next to her.

"I always have important work to do every day when I step into that building which is why I am not stepping into that building today. Instead," he smiled softly as he served up some pancakes and drenched it in syrup. "I will take you for your wedding dress fitting."

Cara's eyes widened in surprise. She had totally forgotten that she was ever supposed to go for her wedding dress fitting. The thought of going with her fiance made her blush so hard that her cheeks were all flushed red.

"What?" Romeo suddenly asked and she looked up at him. There was a smile playing on his lips as he stared. "Are you feeling all flustered thinking about going for a wedding dress fitting with your fiance? I am also going to pick my wedding suit. Of course you have to be there to choose it for me."

Cara cleared her throat. "What? Who? Me? Flustered?" She scoffed softly. "Why would I ever be flustered?"

A soft chuckle escaped from Romeo's mouth. He picked up the plate of neatly served pancakes and dropped it in front of her. "I look forward to going with you. I really am getting impatient to get married to you Cara Smith, I just want wait to call you Mrs Armani." He whispered softly in her ear.

Cara felt a shiver run down her spine but a good kind of shiver. In the span of a second, several naughty thoughts ran through her head, all the things Romeo could do to her with his tongue and his hands. Those skillful hands that not only brought about the recent success of the Armani company but also made her delicious pancakes and touched her in ways that no man had ever touched her before.

The way his lips melted with hers whenever they kissed, the way her body shuddered whenever his hands touched her. The way her senses left her whenever their bodies were melting against each other.

She turned to look at him and cupped his face in her hands. Staring into his emerald eyes, Romeo did not break eye contact with her either.

He stared back at her without saying a word, their silence saying so much to each other.

She leaned in closer and pressed her lips against his softly. Her body melted from his gentle touch and her heart skipped a beat. The moment seemed to slow down and all Cara wanted was for the moment to remain stagnant.

Even though they had forever to spend together, it just was not enough for her. She wanted to remain by his side infinitely, loving him in every reality to ever come to exist.

She did not think that any man could ever make her feel the way Romeo made her feel, no man could ever touch her better than he did, no man could ever make love to her like he did, no man could ever love her like he did.

Whenever she was by his side, she was reminded of a time when she was young and worry free. When she had everything but worries. That was why she never wanted to leave his side.

She broke the kiss, pulling back just to look into his eyes. The silence carried their unspoken words and they communicated with their eyes and heart.

Forever was not just enough...
