Chapter 76
Sonya has blood coming out of her mouth and ears as she lays unconscious on the grass.
Francesca tries to tend to her but cannot do anything. “Alpha Jake.” She screams.
Jake looks at Francesca hovered over Sonya. He runs from where he is to Sonya fighting people off as he goes. “What the fuck happened?”
“That asshole kicked her in the side of her head.”
“Is she still alive?”
“Yes she is but I don’t know how bad she is hurt.”
Jake holds her in his arms and kisses her forehead. “My love please wake up. Please baby. I can’t lose you.”
Sonya finds herself in a white room by herself. She looks around not knowing what is going on. She can hear Jake talking to her but she can’t see him. “Where am I?”
The moon goddess comes into the room. “I’m sorry my child but you died on the battlefield.”
“What? I can’t die. What about Jake? What about my pups? Can I do anything to get sent back?”
The moon goddess walks towards Sonya and places her hand on her cheek, “I am going to send you back home. We have found a way to keep the pendant protected here in the heavens so you will not have to worry about protecting the pendant anymore.”
“Really? Are you sure that’s a good idea?”
“Yes we are positive.” Sonya hears a man’s voice from behind her. She spins around to see a tall man with blonde hair that is slicked back and the bluest eyes you’ve ever seen. He is wearing white flowy robes similar to what the moon goddess wears.
“My child, this is Zeus, my mate.”
“It’s nice to meet you.” Sonya says.
“The pleasure is all mine. All us gods are extremely happy with you and everything you have done for us. We want to give you something in return.”
Sonya looks at the moon goddess and then back to Zeus. “What could you possibly give me?”
“Peace of mind. We are going to put an end to Hades’s army and let you leave in peace with the man you love.”
“You would really do that for me?”
“Yes of course child. You have gone above and beyond for my goddess. It’s the least we can do to thank you for everything.”
“It was an honor.” Sonya says and starts taking off the pendant. “You will need this back.”
The moon goddess takes the pendant and fastens it around her neck. “Thank you my child. Now get out of here and enjoy your life.”
Sonya smiles. She closes her eyes for a second and then starts waking up in Jake’s arms on the battlefield. “Jake? Is that you?”
“Yes love. I thought I lost you.”
“You will never lose me. How long have I been out for?”
“I lost track of time but we getting the upper hand now.”
“The Gods are going to help too.”
Just as Sonya says that there are several rays of white light coming down from the sky. Each ray reaches the ground and a figure appears.
They all nod towards Sonya and proceed to help with the assault on the army. It takes another hour before the whole army is defeated. Everyone stands around Sonya including the gods and goddesses.
“Thank you, Sonya for everything you did to protect us. We are indebted to you forever.”
“Thank you for your help here today. I think after this we are even.” She says with a chuckle.
“We will always protect you and watch over you. Thank you again.” Zeus says as all the gods and goddesses turn to smoke and disappear.
“Wow was that really the gods?” Vincent asks.
“Yes it was.” Sonya says. “Thank you all so much for everything. I hope that we can continue to be allies and help each other.”
“I think I speak for everyone when I say yes we are allies forever.” Vincent says. Everyone else voices their agreement and nods.
Jake helps Sonya stand up. She is still wobbling so he holds her tight around the waist. He kisses her temple. “Baby we need to get you checked out.”
“No, we need to make sure everyone is okay and no one else needs helped first.” Sonya whispers to him. He nods and they make their way through the crowd thanking everyone as they go.
“How did everyone fair? Does anyone need any help or medical attention?” Jake asks the group.
“No, Alpha everyone is okay. Nothing that cannot be managed. I think you need to get your Luna patched up though.” Vincent says with a smile.
Jake nods and motions for their group to head for their vehicle. “We will all be in touch. I would like to have monthly meetings with everyone. We can add more allies if we need to. It’s always a good idea to be prepared. What do you all think?”
Everyone agrees and nods to Jake.
“As you can see, we need to get our Luna some attention so we will be leaving but feel free to stay as long as you would like. Alpha Scott and Beta Reginald, the Alpha and Luna would like to talk back at Supermoon.” Greg says as Jake scoops Sonya up and carries her to the vehicle.
“We will be right behind you.” Reginald says.
Greg nods and follows behind Jake and Sonya. Jim, Sadie, and Claire stay behind with Scott and Reginald to get contact info. Luna Maria, Harriett, and 4 warriors get into the vehicle with Jake and Sonya.
Scott and Reginald go around and shake everyone’s hand. Sadie and Claire stay and get contact info from everyone. Jim follows them around for protection just in case.
