Chapter Thirty-Seven

We got on Jaden's private jet again and it took of as soon as possible.

“I had them get us some pasta. It’s really good.”

“Where is it?” I perked up and he chuckled before calling the attention of one of the hostesses.

She wheeled in the food alongside some drinks. It was a large bowl of pasta and two forks.

We ate as we chatted away, having the most fun. We drank wine and still had the most fun either each other.

After the food and wine, I got really tired.

"Sleep. I'll wake you up when we get there." Jaden assured and I nodded, a yawn escaping my lips.

He adjusted our seats and we leaned back, he cradled me in his arms and I fell asleep shortly as he rubbed soothing circles on my back.

Soon I was woken up by someone shaking my shoulders. "Domino, wake up." It was Jaden.

I groaned, but reluctantly open my eyes. I squinted, trying to get my eyes to adjust to the light.

"Are we there yet?" I said, my voice was hoarse.

"Yeah, come on." Jaden said. I groaned again and got up from my seat, smoothening my dress as we alighted from the stairs.

I followed Jaden to the front of the jet and right away the cold air hit me in the face. I shivered.

"Here." Jaden said, handing me his jacket. I took it without a second thought before we boarded the waiting car.

“Thanks.” I smiled. “Where are we headed? It’s getting late.”

“Dinner and then our hotel.”

“Alright.”

In less than an hour, we arrived at the restaurant.

“What kinda-”

“It’s a Chinese restaurant.”

“Thank God, it’s been an eternity since I had sushi. I miss the kimchi so much too.” I moaned in excitement.

“Well, what can I say? I’m your fairy godfather.”

“Father? I thought you preferred daddy?” I whispered in his ear before alighting from the vehicle, glad I’d made an impact on his mood for the rest of the night.

He held the door of the restaurant open for me and I walked in.

"Thanks." I said, looking around, the place was lit up with quaint lanterns. I squinted my eyes, trying to have a better view of the dimly lit surroundings.

This state felt all too familiar.

"Jaden?” I called out, a tad unsure. "We are in Palm Beach?”

Jaden smirked a little.

"What are we doing here?" I asked.

“Our pre wedding honeymoon.” He grinned and my mouth hung open.

“Really?”

“Yeah.” He grinned.

“You’re so thoughtful.” I cooed.

“I try baby. I try.”

“So this restaurant…”

"Eating sushi." he said. "Each year, this place," he pointed to a big, wooden sushi palace, has an eat-all-you-want day. All the food is free as long as you finish it."

I smiled. I liked it here too.

The restaurant was full but not crowded.

"They make the best sushi here." Jaden said to me.

"How may I help you?" a waitress asked with a sexy Chinese accent.

“I reserved a table here, the Crispins." Jaden said.

The waitress quickly nodded. "Oh yes, come with me." We followed her up the stairs to the roof of the restaurant.

I marveled at the view.

“Woah…”

"Do you like it here?" Jaden asked, grinning.

"No, I love it here!" I said, before pulling him into a hug.

“I’m glad you like it baby.” He placed a kiss on my forehead before we got seated. He’d rented out the whole rooftop.

I smiled at him as he read the menu with the English translation.

"Do you eat sushi?" Jaden teased.

“What’s sushi?” I played along and we burst into laughter, even the waitress broke a small smile indicating her presence.

"Yeah-oh, miss. I would like to have California rolls, eel rolls, salmon without spice and a cup of green tea, please." I said.

Jaden flashed me a lopsided grin. I laughed a little.

"And you, sir?" she asked.

"I would like some spiced salmon, spicy tuna, dragon rolls, some crunchy eel with spice and a cup of Jasmine tea, please." Jaden said.

“Noted sir.” She have a curt nod before trudging off.

Shortly, the food came and it was amazing.

"Mmm, I love this place, we should come back here." I said, eating my handroll.

He nodded, stuffing a crunchy eel in his mouth.

I laughed a little watching him much on such a big piece.

"The crunchy eel is amazing! It's too bad you didn't order any." Jaden said, swaying the peice of sushi in front of me.

I grabbed one of the peice of crunchy roll from his tray and stuffed it in my mouth and I watched his shocked expression.

I swallowed, smiling in satifaction.

"What was-"

"You stole my lunch, isn't is going to be fair if I steal some of your dinner and that 'some' means one piece of sushi." I said.

“But that's a whole different story. You couldn't finish your lunch so I had to help, you don't want to waste food right?" Jaden said. "And that means that I get to take some sushi from you because you stole mine for no good reason."

And before I refused, he grabbed my last peice of slamon and stuffed it in his mouth.

My jaws dropped. "That’s so not fair!" I quickly leaned forward and stole another sushi from him. I smiled, because that was his last piece.

He took one of mine and I yelled. "Time out! This game is not fair! You eat faster than me and you ate more than me. You have to stop."

Jaden chuckled. "Aww, that's too bad, right?"

I slapped Jaden's arm playfully, "Shut up you whale!"

He laughed.

I crossed my arms. "Fine, let's have a mini contest."

Jaden immediately stopped laughing.

"Ok, we will see who eats more sushi and you said that this is an all-you-can-eat sushi palace, right?" He nodded, while smirking.

"Ok, bring it on. Excuse me, may you bring two plates of dragon rolls, please?" I asked the waitress. She nodded.

"For your information, a plate of sushi has twenty-four pieces you know that right?" Jaden said.

I shrugged. "I don't care." I said, smiling.

The food came and I smiled devilishly.

"Bring it on, elephant."

"I will buttercup." he said, smirked. I laughed a little, before starting to dig into my plate of food.

"Ahh, I feel so full." I groaned after two plates.

Jaden softly chuckled. I didn't know how he ate three plates and was still standing.

“Told you not to try me.” He smirked.

“Fuck you.” I replied and he chuckled.

"You want to get some rest, I think you would feel better afterwards." Jaden said. I nodded.

He paid the bill and we were out of the restaurant in no time.

We got into the car that was heading to our reserved hotel room.

"Domino I got to tell you something." I nodded telling him to go ahead.

“I booked a suite for us…”

"What’s the problem with that?” I asked, with a smirk on my face.

“Well bring it on buttercup.” He grinned devilishly.

“Will do daddy.” I whispered in his ear, teasing him.

“Hello, good evening, how may I help you?”

“Reservations under Crispin.” He smiled.

“That’s 318.” She handed them two keycards.

“Alright.”

“Kindly make use of the elevator sir and miss.” She gestured towards it at the side of the room.

“Thanks.”

“Have a great evening.” She flashed a warm smile.
