Chapter 10 Hide

"Now where are you going?" Louis asked sternly yet tried to stay calm. "None of your concern," said Shrey, trying to remove her hand from his hold. Someone from behind Louis tapped his shoulder and said, "Hey." But Louis didn't budge, and because of his tall figure, she wasn't able to see behind him.

"Can't you hear me, guys?" Reva, who was holding a pile of books in her hands, asked them, sighing heavily, after hearing Reva Shrey peek from the side. "I can, but this idiotic nugget can't hear with tans of earwax nurturing in his ears, I guess."

"What the hell?" Louis asked. He was annoyed by her and created some space between them. "If your hands aren't amputated yet, mind helping this poor girl." Shrey and Louis rolled their eyes when Reva said this, "That's offensive," and finally helped her hold the books.

"Oh, come on," Reva said and moved forward, followed by Shrey pouting behind and kicking Louis leg. He managed somehow and glared at her, "Here we are; let's go." Shrey looked forward, only to find out they were standing in front of the staff room.

Realization hit her, and her eyes widened when she realized these were the project books they were asked to submit today by Prof. Sorte, and surely Reva was asked to keep them in the staff room.

"No, no, I can't go inside." "Relax; she isn't inside. I saw her sweet talk with Prof. Shinde. We will go inside and silently keep these books on her desk and head toward the canteen. There are only 5 minutes left to start break, and I'm already hungry." "Have you collected my book as well?" "Yeah, I did."

Louis sighed and moved inside to keep the book. "I've no time to waste, girls, so you carry on." Reva rolled her eyes and nudged Shrey to move inside the staff room. The staff room was empty, with all the books, files, and papers piled up on the desks of the teachers; the desks were joint and at the same time separated by partitioned glass walls with a common dining table.

"Which table does our 'rude for no reason' Prof. occupy?" Shrey asked, inspecting the room. "Reason -- you bunked her class for nth times, and yeah, even I don't know which desk she occupies or where to keep them."

thud, both Shrey and Reva heard, and they turned around only to find pens lying on the floor with the pen holder case broken. Their eyes widen, and at the same time they hear two people chatting outside.

Shrey's eyes widen, recognizing the voice, so she kept the pile of books on the desk, and Reva and Louis did the same.

"What should we do now?" Louis, standing next to Reva, whispered panic; when Reva heard the opening sound of the door, she panicked and grabbed both Shrey's and Louis' hands, bending to hide under the desk.

"Today you look so beautiful, my lady," said someone. Shrey peeked from under the desk to see who it was. "Reva, look, it's Prof. Shinde and Prof. Sorte." Shrey whispered to Reva, and both Louis and Reva peeked only to find the mid-aged Prof. Shinde holding the face of Prof. Sorte, "Oh, come on, Mr. Shinde," said Ms. Sorte, blushing at his remark.
