Epilogue

Jason POV:

I am so happy as Eva got conceived. We were talking, and the nurse asked me to meet the doctor. I went to meet the doctor.

"Mr Jason, I want to tell you a few things. Eva is weak physically. You must take care of her until her delivery. She should take complete rest and proper diet without any stress or strain. If she didn't take care of herself, it might lead to further complications," doctor said scaring me.

I nodded and came to Eva.

"What did doctor say?" Eva asked.

"Nothing baby just general suggestions. Come let's go home" I said and took her home.

I arranged a get together to celebrate the occasion. Eva called me to talk privately. I went to her.

"Eva, tell me. Are you ok? Are you feeling weak?" I asked with concern.

"No Jason. I want to talk about Maya. We all are happy with our lives. But she is not. Why can't we search a good person to get her married with?" She said.

How lucky I am. Eva is so sweet and thinks about everyone. I am blessed to have her as my wife.

"Eva, do what you think is right. Talk with Maya n then decide" I said Eva called Maya.

"Maya, if you don't mind, can I ask you something personal?" Eva said slowly to Maya.

"Don't be so formal Eva. Ask me anything you want to know" Maya said to Eva.

"Maya, we all are happy with our lives. What about you?" Eva asked "I am also happy with my life," she said smiling The smile which hides tears and pain behind it.

"How can you be happy being alone Maya. Why can't you marry again?"

"Who said marriage is the only way to avoid loneliness and get happiness?" Maya asked " What do you mean? Do you think you can live happily in this society without marriage?" Eva asked "Maya, We will see a good match for you. We want you to be happy" I said "Stop it, Jason. I don't understand why people always think marriage is the only source for happiness and it's the destiny of any person. I am not going to marry anyone. But I know where my happiness lies. I will dedicate my life for society and will fight against trafficking. Please don't talk about my marriage again" Maya went off, and Eva looked at me.

"Don't worry Eva. Time has to come for anything. Let's see what the future had in store for her" I said.

We enjoyed the party, and as Eva was tired, she slept soon having her food with my force. At midnight she started to move restlessly.

"Eva, what happens?" I asked taking her into my arms.

She woke up slowly.

"I..I.." she again slept on my shoulder.

After sometime she moved again.

"What happened to you, Eva?" I asked.

"My feet are aching badly" she murmured.

"Sleep peacefully," I said and then went to bring medicine. I started applying oil to her feet to ease Eva's pain. She got up from bed quickly.

" What are you doing Jason?" She took off her legs.

"Sleep Eva. Your pain will cure soon" I said.

"It's late at night. You too sleep. It's ok. It will cure" she said taking away her legs.

"Quite. I don't want to hear one more word from you. Sleep now. Let me do my work," I said seriously, and Eva kept dull face.

"Ok, don't keep your face like that. You are my wife, and now you are bearing my child too. I must take care of you. After all, you did a lot for me. Now please sleep" I said softly I made her lie on the bed and started massaging feet. Slowly she drifted off to deep sleep. Later, I too slept.

Next day, in the morning she woke up and started getting ready. I made breakfast already for her as I don't want her to do any work.

"You are not going to office from today," I said to her.

She looked at me shockingly.

"But why?"

"Look, Eva, I didn't want you to get stressed. I want you to take a complete rest. You can continue your counselling session through online as you do. Coming to company works, ask the manager to take your signatures by coming to our home. You can Skype with team leaders about work. If anything urgent or important, I will accompany you" I said cupping her face.

"Jason, this is too much. It's just early stage of pregnancy. I can do little work. I will take rest from the seventh month," she said to which I gave serious expression.

"Hmm. Ok ok. I will do as you said," Eva said, and I smiled.

The doctor said she is weak. I should make her eat properly and take rest too. I can't take the risk, and I am so worried about her health condition. I decided to finish off all my works in a week and take care of her for the rest of seven months. Profits or business matters least to me because she is my priority. I decided to work from home.

I finished my works and started staying at home to take care of her. She is so surprised to know that I left business aside just for her. She didn't agree, but I convinced her saying the baby is more important to both of us. She doesn't know that she is my baby and I am talking about her.

One month passed by so quickly but then problems started. I mean Eva began to showing her mood swings at the time of pregnancy. Making her eat food became an arduous task for me. Now it's time for lunch. I went with her favourite food to her.

"Jason I don't want this. This is spicy," she said taking a bite.

"Ok, what do you want to eat?" I asked "I want lemon rice," she said "Ok, I will make it for you," I said I am preparing food for her every day as she loves to eat food made by me. I cooked food of her choice and gave her. She took two bites.

"I don't want to eat this. This is sour," Eva pouted.

Lemon rice tastes sour.

"Then what you want?"

"Curd rice."

I gave curd rice to her.

"This is not spicy," she said, and I got shocked.

How can we make curd rice spicy?

"What you want now?" I asked with much patience.

"I want ice cream," she asked.

"No Eva. No ice cream now."

"I want ice cream" she kept crying face.

I took her closer.

"Ok, I will bring ice cream. But have food first. Only then ice cream" I said softly.

"No. Ice cream first then food" she pouted.

How can I make her eat food now? Yup got an idea.

"I am hungry, Eva. I may faint soon. I want to eat food along with you. Ok then as you are disagreeing, I will go to bring ice cream and then will have lunch together."

"Are you that hungry? No no, now I too feel hungry. Let's have food first then ice cream" she said "Are you sure?"

"Yes," she said.

"What will you eat?"

"Lemon rice is better."

I brought that for her and made her eat. Then she slept for some time. Meanwhile, I prepared ice cream for her as I don't want her to eat outside food and spoil her health. In the evening she woke up and I surprised her by giving ice cream. She had it happily.

I took her for the regular checkup, and the doctor said her condition is better now than earlier. I relaxed a bit.

As she is a psychologist, started meditating twice a day to relax. She told that after the fifth month, the baby could hear what we speak. I too created an environment around her which keeps her peaceful and happy.

I asked Roma to stay with Eva to which she accepted instantly. Rio and his family too agreed. They asked me to send Eva to their home till her delivery, but I refused. I want to take care of her by myself. She is mine, and I had a responsibility towards her which I can't transfer to others. I love taking care of my sweetheart. Her mood swings, anger, childish behaviour everything made my life happier and fun. Of course, no one can believe this. But still, it's true that I am enjoying all this. The best time I have ever had until now.

As months are passing, Eva faced more trouble with nausea and dizziness. I dedicated my whole time in taking care of her. Ryan too helped me by taking care of Selena.

"Jason, Ryan loves Selena a lot and cares for her a lot, right?" Eva asked.

"Yes."

"When they grow up, I want to get Selena married to Ryan," Eva said.

I smiled.

"Eva, for now, stop thinking about their marriage. They are still kids. We shouldn't decide those things which are turning points of life. When they grow up, let them decide whom they will marry and which profession they will choose" I said to her.

I know she is unhappy with my answer. But we should not force children to do what we like. They should be given freedom within the limits where they don't get spoiled. However, I too love the bonding between Selena and Ryan. But we don't know what God decided for them.

Finally, her delivery date came, and I stopped working even from home. She is drinking milk in the morning and suddenly shouted.

"Eva, what happened to you?"

She didn't reply, and Roma came inside the room hearing her shouting.

"She is getting pains. Let's take her to the hospital," Roma said.

We took her to the hospital. God, please save her. Nothing should happen to my Eva. I don't even want a child, but Eva must be safe. My eyes filled with tears seeing her pain. The doctor came outside.

"Congratulations. Your wife gave birth to a baby boy. Both your wife and child are safe" doctor said making me happy.

Leap of a year:

Eva became the top entrepreneur in India now. We decided not to have a child anymore as we have one son and one daughter already. Yes, Selena is our daughter, and we want no more children.

It's my son's first birthday. I invited everyone in our circle to party. Rio and Roma came with their baby girl. Maya came to the party with some guy. She introduced him to us.

"Eva, I decided to marry Lokesh. I met him when I saved a girl from trafficking as a part of NGO work. She is his sister and later on our friendship developed. Recently he proposed me. He knew my past, but he said my past doesn't matter to him. So, finally, I decided to forget my past and marry him" Maya said.

Eva hugged her.

"I am so happy for you, Maya," Eva said and we both congratulated her.

Party finished, and I went to the room, and Eva is starring at stars. I placed my hand on her waist and pulled her near to me.

"Jason, what is this? I got scared" she said I smiled and kissed on her forehead.

All the misunderstandings were cleared, and problems got solved. Her uncle and aunt were in jail. We had a child; everything is perfect. Everything just because of her love and patience.

" I love you, Eva. I am lucky to have you. You turned my life completely into bliss and made it as a heaven. YOU ARE MY LIFE," I said kissing her.

She smiled and kissed me back.

Yes, she is my life.

MY DISGUSTING WIFE BECAME MY LIFE.

Ryan and Selena came with Gagan (our son) to us to tell us their cute complaints. We both smiled listening to the sweet complaints of Ryan and Selena on one another. Eva convinced them, and they stopped fighting. We sat in the balcony playing with children. My life is complete now with Eva, Ryan, Selena and Gagan. Marriage became a blessing in my life giving me lots of love and happiness. I thanked God in my mind. Let this happiness stay forever.

"YES THIS HAPPINESS STAYS FOREVER," said Eva.

I hugged her from the side, and we both stared at children playing.
