Chapter 63 63
"Mr Jordans is-"
The door opened, cutting the secretary short and Liam stepped in, standing in front of Mr Hills with his hands in his pockets.
"I didn't expect you'd come back to meet me as fast as this." Mr Hills replied calmly as he looked up at Liam.
Liam smiled lightly as he placed his hands on the table, gripping it tightly. He released a breath, "Mr Hills, you should speak to your kids." He said.
"What is wrong?"
"Alexandra is in jail right now because your daughter sent tips to the police about a smuggling activity she orchestrated. I'll give Stella three hours to get her out. If she doesn't, your family would have to bank on something else than SH Apparels." He warned.
"It's not up to this, Liam." Mr Hills said but Liam straightened his back, adjusting his suit.
"I'm banking a lot to get the woman I love out of prison. You aren't the one who would tell me what it's gonna be up to." He smirked.
"And besides, it seems your kids have soiled their hands a lot, no?" He cocked his head, "I won't even have to lift a finger if I wanted to put them in prison. Think wisely." Liam said as he walked out.
"Stella would go to prison!" Hills banged his hand on the table and Liam halted without turning back, "I'm her father. Can I bear to see her be in prison? All she ever did was love you too much." He said, his heart broken.
"All I would ever do is love Alexandra too much and everyone has to go for it, let them. I don't give a fvck about their pain." He said and finally strode out of the office.
Hills collapsed back on his chair, his chest tight. He tried hard to swallow the lump in his throat but it simply seemed to be stuck. He released series of breath, trying to calm himself.
He picked up his phone, "Sam, you've got to help Stella. Liam would do everything to destroy us now."
The door opened with a loud bang and Sam strode into the room, pulling the duvet from Stella's body roughly. Stella shot forward, sitting up straight.
"What the hell is wrong is you!?" Sh shot, frowning hardly.
Sam leaned closer to her, placing his head at the back of her neck and forcing her to look at him.
"The last time I crossed Liam for was the last time. This time around, deal with the consequences." He said.
"If you aren't going to help me, then scram!" She spat out.
"What exactly do you have behind you, Stella?" He furrowed his brows.
"Someone who is ready to help unlike you." She shot and he smirked.
"You'd regret it, Stella." He said and walked out, leaving the room.
"I'm your sister! Okay, Sam? You can leave me because of the btch you love!" She screamed, standing on her bed, but the banging of her door made her realize he had left.
Stella breathed heavily, gulping down nothing as her knees weakened and she collapsed on the bed. She picked her phone typing a message to a recipient.
"My family is going to be attacked by Liam." She typed helplessly and clicked sent.
"Shouldn't you make a deal with him? Make him swear to leave Alexandra if you helped." The message came.
"Are you crazy! This trick wouldn't work on Liam this time around."
"It would work, Stella. Because of a press release which would appear in the next hour. He'll have no choice."
"Are you sure?"
"Fvcking sure, Stella Hills."
"What the hell do you think you are doing!?" Doreen screamed as the prosecutors scattered the offices, taking all possible files they could find.
"Get out of our way, miss. Or else you could be charged of obstruction of justice." One of them warned and Doreen gritted her teeth hardly as she watched, knowing she couldn't stop them. All these were happening in just a day and she couldn't even think straight.
"Mr Welland." A sigh of ease escaped from her lips as Ryder walked towards her, "Thank God you are here. Can you tell these people to stop?" She asked.
"It'll be easier for them to just go through the documents, Doreen. Let's not stop them. They'll be embarrassed when they don't find out anything."
"They are even taking pieces of our materials to examine!" Doreen hissed and Ryder flashed her a look.
"I heard Alexa was charged with smuggling. Can we work on that first? Why don't you go to the place you ordered from and ask for a confirmation? It could help in her release and evidence."
Doreen looked at him for a moment, "You are right but I wouldn't like to leave the company just like that. The boss wouldn't like that." She muttered.
"I'm also a member of the company, Doreen. I would never want it to go down. I'm a shareholder, remember?" He smiled and she nodded.
"Fine then. It's actually a long drive so I'll take the company's helicopter to get there faster."
"I don't know if you know, Doreen. But you can't use any of the company's properties until all of these is cleared." He said and she let out a long hiss, placing her hands in her waist in annoyance.
"I'll get the car. Please take care of things here. I'll be back soon." She muttered and he nodded once, staring at her till she finally disappeared.
He watched as the prosecutors took all of the documents and left, then he let out a small sigh,
"Don't worry, Alexa. I'll help you easily and you'll be mine no matter what. You'll have no choice." He muttered as he walked downstairs where the reporters were already waiting for a small glimpse of a news to report. He walked into the large hall room and reporters flashed their cameras at him.
Doreen's leg hit the brake in pure shock as she stared at the stock prices. It had plummeted crazily and that wasn't the only thing, many of the shareholders were selling their stocks out at a fvcking high price.
Her eyes narrowed when she saw the name. Alexa was totally right when she had a bad feeling. A whooping 36% of the shares had he bought already becoming the second highest shareholder after Alexander's 40% shares.
"Shit!" She hit the steering in anger, knowing it was all a plot to get her out of the company. Her hands and breath shook as she rolled down the news and the live video came into view.
A press conference at Velvet Vixen. With a ten percent support from other members of the shareholders, Ryder was going to become the new CEO.
