Chapter 50 Fifty

Chapter 50 Fifty
"Why is this...." One of the camera men stuttered, the words unable to come out from his mouth.

"No.." Doreen shook her head off stage. Alexandra saw her but continued,

"I know my kids want a father, but I've been there for them before, and I'll keep on being there for them, with or without Liam's help, so please, whatsoever fantasies you have about us in your head, let them stop now. It's all a joke and if Liam doesn't stop pestering, I swear I'll ruin him."

"She already did." Eugene's eyes fell to the tab in front of him. The news was already all over the place and as expected, Liam was the bad guy.

Yes. He was actually the bad guy. He did something really despicable five years ago and had really been trying to pay so hard for it. He had been trying to make it up. Would Alexandra ever know....that for a month after she left, Liam couldn't come to work? Would she ever know that he searched all over the earth but she was just too hidden? Would Alexandra ever know that someone was backing Stella up at that time and that person had returned?

His hands were fast on the tabs. Stick prices were falling, everything was dropping. He received calls from almost every where even after Alexandra left the news impromptu.

She had said that much to bring him down. It was the revenge she had finally been waiting and yes, she got the right media for it. If this continues, in just some days, Glamour Holdings would be something off the past.

Eugene rushed out of the background, passing Doreen by without even noticing it. She was also on a call as she walked to meet Alexandra. Then she ended it.

"Are you fine?" She asked, worry on her face. She could imagine how hard it was for Alexandra to have done that on the stage.

"I feel chilly." Alexandra muttered, a deep rumble underneath her voice and Doreen squeezed her hand, they were so cold ad shaking really badly. Alexandra was feeling really bad. Her eyes were red, her lashes wet, but one thing she didn't regret was the fact that she did it. Just like he destroyed her after making sorts of promises five years ago, she had also destroyed him after giving him hope and that was all she needed.

"You are in a bad shape, let's get you out of here." Doreen helped her out of the building.

To top it up with icing, droplets of rain started right at that moment, turning Alexandra's mild chilliness to something else. Vapour escaped from her lips with just one breath and in a minute, her hands were folded over her chest. She shook back and forth on her heels, trying to get the cold out. Her lips trembled badly, and she kept on sniffing.

"I have to leave you for a moment. Let me get the car." Doreen handed the tablet to her and rushed into the rain, disappearing afterwards.

Alexandra crouched on the ground, trying to hide in the heat off the walls, but they weren't helping. She felt too cold to he normal. And then his foot stopped beside her and she raised her head up. Her eyes were blurry but she could make Io his body. It was a print in her mind.

"You should be at your company right now. They are going crazy." She muttered.

He let out a sigh and pulled off his suit, covering her with it, "What you've done is a lot, Alexandra."

"So you mean to say I'm evil?" She asked, her eyes getting glassy. It wasn't because of Liam's composure, she swear, it was because of the cold.

"No, whatever you have done, you have the right to do more. It is not up to the pain I caused for a whole five years. For five years, you were alone, Alexandra, rotting in the pain that I caused to you. It's tragic. Knowing that you could never be the same because of what I did. And if you refuse to accept me back, I totally understand. I know, Alexandra, I understand it perfectly now, that I have broken us way too bad."

"You broke your promises. That day, on our wedding day, you promised you'll be with me no matter what." She muttered, shivering slightly. Sweat and splashes of rain touched her forehead but he didn't touch her, he knew she wouldn't want to be touched, not at this moment when she was so mad, even when she was sick.

"Alexandra, go home. It's bad for you out here. "

"Tell me!" She shot, the suit falling from her shoulders. The tablet in her hand hit the ground with a smash that resounded multiple times in her brain.

"Tell. Me, Liam. That you knew you broke the promises." She said.

"I know."

"Then give me a reason why. At least, let me know why? It can't be Stella, no matter what, it cannot just be Stella. I would never have left if Jade and Jace didn't come into the picture because I know it could never be Stella. Isn't it?" She asked, her eyes asking him.

Just when she had destroyed him, just when he had found out how hurt she had been, just when she had realized that some decisions had to be made due to influences behind them and just when he knew there were secrets he could never revealed, Alexandra was finally asking for an answer she could never get no matter how much times she asked the question.

"Why...did...you...do it...Liam?" She asked.

He heard the horn of a car and he turned for a moment, Doreen was driving towards them.

"Alexandra, you need to get...."He turned back and her eyes closed, her legs weakened at that moment giving way to the unconsciousness that suddenly took over her body faster than light.

"Alexandra!" He caught her in his arms, fear written all over his face. His mouth opened a little, his eyes widened as he stared at her cold body.

"Wake up, please."
