Chapter 46 Forty six

Chapter 46 Forty six
Blue's face turned to the side, his eyes filled with shock. It took a moment for his brain to register that he just got slapped.

"Are you crazy?" Alexandra asked, stepping into Stella's front.

"Get out of my way. He was the one who stole my designs, I should deal with him if you don't want this to get out in public." She raised a brow.

"You don't have any right," Alexandra said, "to come into my company and act like a mad dog."

"A mad dog?" Stella's face got red.

"You slapped my employee, you should apologize to him." Alexandra demanded.

"Why would I do that? He stole my designs!"

"You don't have any proof, Stella. Until you have a proof, don't walk in here." She said and turned to go to her seat. That was when the woman behind Stella came into view.

Blue's eyes widened as he looked at her, "Mum?"

Alexandra halted in her tracks, turning back to Stella.

"What's his mum doing here?"

"We can't have two designers who would be having problems with their designs in different company." Stella said as she walked to the cushion chair and had her seat majestically.

"I'm really sorry." Blue's mom, Grace, said.

"It's not your fault, mom."

"What are you suggesting?" Alexandra walked to Stella and took a seat opposite her.

"Fire one of them." Stella replied undauntedly.

"I can't do that. At least, since Blue is under me, I have the right to fire him or not." Alexandra smirked, her eyes fierce. She wasn't going to let Stella win in a situation like this.

"Do you want it to be revealed?" Stella asked, a cunning grin on her face.

"Do you proof?" Alexandra asked with the same energy.

"You know me, Alexandra, I can get proof anywhere I want." Stella said.

"You also know me, I can reveal the fact that you sunk my ship. It's a card I'll always have against you."

"Why don't we exchange both proofs, and pretend like this never happened today?" Alexandra asked, trading her card for something she never expected.

"Liam already traded that card." Stella said.

"Liam isn't the owner of the ship. Besides, you didn't even lift a finger. Don't think Liam has a say in my business."

"Fine! Traded." Stella said, "So know, you can't use that against me." She said and picked her bag, about to leave the office.

"Stella!" Alexandra called, her hands fisted while she sat, her brows went a notch higher, "Aren't you forgetting something?"

"What?"

"Apologize to him." Alexandra tilted her head towards Blue and Stella bit her lips.

"If I don't teach him a lesson, who will?" Stella asked and Alexandra scoffed, getting up from her seat and strolling towards Stella.

"Then don't apologize." She said and immediately raised her hand, giving Stella a satisfying and dazing slap across the cheek. Stella felt her head spin abd her face instantly got red as a tomato, her cheek stinging hard.

Stella gritted her teeth, "How dare you?"

"Let's end it here, Stella. You might bleed if I slap you as hard as you slapped Blue." Alexandra said and Stella's hand fisted tight around the arm of her bag.

"We'll settle this." She said and turned to leave.

"I'll see you at home," Grace said to Blue and was about to follow Stella when the girl screamed.

"Don't you dare follow me. You are still fired."

"For what?" Alexandra asked.

"Nothing! I'll fire my employees the way I please!" Stella said and stomped on out, leaving Grace there.

Grace sighed dejectedly. She had put all of her life into this, only to be fired this way.

"Gosh...." Alexandra blew her hair out of her face and gave a tight smile, her cheeks swelling, "That felt good." She chuckled loudly, making Grace and Blue stare at her.

"I'm pretty sure that part of her cheek would hurt for days, don't you think?" She asked and laughed again, sitting in her chair. Her face was bright as she gave another loud laughter before finally regaining her composure.

"Miss Grace, I'm in a good mood today. How about I recruit you?" She asked, still all smiles and Grace looked at her.

"You'll do that?" She asked excitedly.

"Of course," Alexandra said, "Blue, take your mom to Doreen, so she can undergo the signing process and get her employment letter."

"Thank you so much ma." Blue and Grace said at the same time and Alexandra.

"Apply some balm on your face, okay?" Alexandra said and Blue nodded, before finally exiting the room.

Alexandra smiled widely as she picked up her files, but her eyes involuntary went to the flowers on her desk. She took a deep breath and looked away, her heart unsettled.

After a moment, Alexandra hissed loudly and picked up the telephone, "Get me a vase."

Doreen walked into the office with a ceramic vase in her hand and placed it on the table, staring at Alexandra with a cocky face.

"The flower is so beautiful. It would be a waste to throw it away." Alexandra said, touching the flower.

"I guess." Doreen nodded blankly, "I sent the flowers to Glamour Holdings."

"The CEO'S office, right?" Alexandra asked, fixing the flowers into the vase herself.

"Yes." Doreen said and made to leave but then she stopped, "May I ask, why did you recruit Miss Grace?" She asked.

"She's talented." Alexandra said.

"Not because you felt pity."

"A business lady doesn't work with pity, Doreen. You work with your brain. I was fascinated when I saw the designs and j was immediately captivated by it. If Blue had other motives using that dress, I would have been prey. And seeing an opportunity, I hired her immediately. Stella won't know what she lost." Alexandra said.

"You are right." Doreen agreed and then walked out.

He stared at the flower, Eugene opposite him, his finger ticking his jaw. The flower looked exactly like he had seen in the flower shop.

"This looks familiar." He said, cocking his head.

"Alexandra sent it." Liam said, biting the side of his lips.

"What does it mean?" He looked up at Eugene and Eugene chuckled nervously.

"You don't want to know."
