Chapter 104 104

Chapter 104 104
"You say crazy things." She muttered and scoffed lightly as she walked to her bag and started unpacking it.

His neck turned to the side. He is able to move that. It gave her a sign that he would heal. He would heal.

"Alexandra. I don't want you beside me. I can't... protect you. I can't protect my kids."

"Nothing is going to happen to us. Ryder is dead. No one hates us."

"That's a lie." He shot, "There would always be people trying to bring us down, Alexandra. Please listen to me and just leave. You can't stay with a man like me!"

Alexandra hit her bag with her clothes as she stood up furiously, "No! You listen to me, Liam." Her teeth gritted as his eyes raised up to her eyes. She was angry. She was disgusted. She would hate him soon enough for being weak. That's was what he thought. But in reality, Alexandra was just so so scared for him.

"I would choose.....whoever I want to be with. A man like you? That is a man I want to be with so live with it. If you think you can throw tantrums like a child and get me out of here, you better think again. I want you to get better. You would get better because it is what I want. So live with it." She shot.

"Alexandra, you don't know what....." He shook his head, "There is practically no way of walking again." He shook his head.

"There is. The doctors said that with therapy, you would be fine again. But even if you don't heal and have to he pushed on a wheelchair up and about, I would do the same for you." She said.

"Look-"

"The conversation ends here." She said and walked out of the room, sitting on the chair in front of it, her head in her palms. If Liam didn't want to be alright. There was nothing she could do, then she had to force him. She had to force him to he alright. She had to motivate him.

She didn't want to use the kids for now and she hoped it wouldn't get to that extent when she had to show him how desperate Jade and Jace were for him to be willing to walk again. She would keep that as her last resort.

The nurse said the doctor called for her attention and she walked quickly to his office.

"How long does he have to stay in the hospital before he can start his therapy?" Alexandra asked.

"For three weeks, Mrs Chapman. I have a contact which is one of the best therapist in the world. He could help you out. But Mr Liam isn't ready to be healed. As for yesterday night, he banned everyone from stepping into his room." The doctor said, passing the sheet of paper that contained the therapist details.

"Thank you." Alexandra muttered and took a deep breath, "Don't listen to Liam for now. I have the agreement of his parents to be his guardian here and legally I'm still his married wife, so you can trust and listen to me. Liam would get treated no matter what. Even if he throws tantrums right now and curses at anyone, please....don't give up on him. You can't. We have kids. We have a family. And family don't give you on one another." She said.

The doctor nodded, "If he starts therapy next week, I can promise improvement." He said. She nodded her head calmly and got up, leaving his office. Picking her phone, Alexandra called the number and she talked for a while with the man called Iren.

"Your therapy starts next week." She said as she turned a cup of water and glanced at Liam when he didn't reply. His head was turned to the side, his eyes glued to the open glass window. Alexa took a breath and walked to that side, dragging a seat in front of him.

"Liam Jordans." She called. He didn't say a word neither did he act like he heard her.

"You begged me so so much to take you back, risking your life over and over again for me. Why did you jump in front of the bullet?" She asked and he saw his eyes move.

"If you had just let me died, you won't be sitting here right now this way. You would be free. You would even be done mourning for me and you might be in a relationship with someone. You put yourself in this predicament, Liam, because you should have let me die instead."

"I know you are just saying this harshly to make me motivated." He said.

"No " She shook her head, "Don't be motivated at all. Sleep here for as long as you want. You have a company, you have a wife. And you have kids. You have people working under you. You would lose everything."

"Alexandra." His voice was getting harsh.

"If not that Ryder was dead, he'd be a good father and husband."

"Alexa!"

"Get mad, okay? If that is what is going to make you live, then simply get mad. You think I want to sit down here and watch you go crazy and not help yourself? You think I'm going to stay here and watch you die in depression? Tell me, Liam, if you truly love me like you claim, if this happened to me, would you let me give up on myself like this?" Her eyes turned glassy.

"I love you, Alexandra." Liam breathed out, his chest contracting.

"Loving me means living for me. You have to live a good life, Liam because that is what I want. Won't you do what I want?" She asked, her eyes pleading.

"I can't protect you." He shook his head, "I'm a mess."

"Then let me do that. Let me protect you this time. If you try and it doesn't work out, then I'll protect you for the rest of my life. But first, you have to just try? Hmm? Promise me?" She asked and he sighed, his eyes glassy and a tear slipped off. Alexandra stared at him with teary eyes waiting for his reply. She was pleading, begging for him to just be him.

"I promise." He whispered.

A grateful sigh escaped Alexandra's lips and she rubbed his face fondly, "I will help you."
