96-Scheduled Spontaneity

**XAVER**

Signing on the dotted line, I breathe a sigh of relief.

It is over. I can go home.

Home to Pippa.

And fuck, if I haven’t missed her.

The short-ass conversations between us were necessary for me to hurry and get the job done. The guy, whose daughter Craig had in fact screwed, wanted to scrap the whole thing. It took two days of constant negotiation before he would even see me, and a further four days to hammer out the details. His daughter will go from supporting actress to a bit part in not one, but two Sayle Group movies.

Mollified and a lot *richer*, he had finally agreed.

We shake hands and I’m out the door.

I haven’t told Pippa I’m on my way. She thinks she will be spending Thanksgiving alone. Not so. I have arranged for us to stay the night at a hotel in New Jersey, and in the morning, we will pack up and head to my parents.

However, that’s not the only surprise I have for her.

I have got a big one, and I want her mouth all over it.

It’s almost three thirty in the afternoon and the sky is gearing up for twilight. I had phone reception on the plane but slept instead of contacting Pippa. I want to be fit and ready to greet my woman properly.

On the ride home, I catch up on my messages. When the screen lights up, ping after ping comes through. I sigh at going through them all.

Gia has been calling me on and off since I fired Craig. I know she and Julia are friends, so she is probably just angling for information. Well, she won’t get any from me.

I shelve the personal calls to focus on the ones from work. I don’t want any shit messing up my Thanksgiving. I have worked like a madman to make the Chilean deal happen and all I want to do is rest and relax for the rest of the week.

Pippa can fill me in on what she wanted to say later.

Right after I fill her with my cock, which grows heavy at the thoughts of what I have planned.

Alfonso and I find Pippa in the living room with Mrs. Lettner, who is packed and ready to leave to visit her new granddaughter. Jake is on his way to LA. Later, Alfonso will catch a flight. He will spend the rest of the week at a buddy’s place upstate.

“Xaver!” Pippa says, jumping up and wrapping her legs around my middle. I squeeze her ass, handful after handful, never getting enough of how good she feels. Alfonso and Mrs. Lettner leave the room, while our lips lock and my dick grows.

Pippa breaks our kiss… which was getting too heated, even for me. A moment longer and I’d have taken her on the couch.

“Why didn’t you tell me you would be back today?”

“I wanted to surprise you,” I say, taking in her sepia skin and glowing smile. Her eyes sparkle with what I hope are happy tears.

“I’ve missed you so much.”

I jokingly ask, “Do you want to prove it?”

She nods. “Anything. Anything you want.”

I damn well hope she means it.

We leave shortly afterwards, dropping Alfonso off at the airport on our way.

“Xaver?”

“Hmm?” I answer, around her finger in my mouth.

Her hand slides through my grasp.

“Xaver… I need to tell you something.”

By her serious tone, I’m not sure if I want to hear it. I keep the sigh behind my teeth and ask, “What is it, Pippa?”

“I didn’t get a moment to tell you, but I met with Sophia, Sonia’s sister.”

I frown. “How did that happen?”

“She had called the office, looking for you. She sounded… panicky. After I had explained who I was, she wanted to meet me.”

When she pauses, I take my eyes from the road to gauge her expression. I have seen a million of them and have compartmentalized each one.

The top three are:

The *you are being an asshole* one.

The *I love you* one, which she wears most frequently.

And, the one I least like to see, is the *I’m holding something back* one.

She has the latter on her face.

I clench the steering wheel, bracing for impact. “Is it life-threatening? Or has she had the baby?” I give her another quick glance before I look in the mirror to switch lanes. “If it is neither of those, I had rather you told me after the holiday. Chile ran me ragged, and I don’t want to deal with anything heavy.”

She nods. Placing her hand on my thigh, she says, “Okay, Xaver.”

At her agreement, I send up a silent prayer of thanks.

We’ve not been in the hotel room ten minutes when Ma calls me.

“Hey Ma,” I say, kicking off my shoes while Pippa washes her hands in the bathroom.

“Why did you check into a hotel when you could have spent the night with us?”

They say women gravitate towards men similar to their fathers, but the same has to be true for men and their mothers. Ma and Pippa were born thirty-plus years apart, and a different race, yet they are clones of one another. Ma can hold a conversation with anyone for just two minutes and become their lifelong friend. She probably had eyes on us the moment I started the car.

“Who told you?”

“Jacob, the front desk clerk. He is the son of Madge, my bridge partner.” She sniffs. “I’m hurt, Xaver, I can tell you.” She sniffs again for impact.

I sigh. My woman and my mother share a flair for the dramatic.

“We needed time to unwind, Ma. I’ve just come back from Chile and Pippa’s been working hard on Max’s launch. You know it is in December.”

Pippa comes out from the bathroom, halting in the doorway when she sees that I’m on the phone. “Plus, we didn’t want to put you out.”

I mouth “Ma” to Pippa and roll my eyes. She giggles behind her hand.

I love it when she does that.

*Soon, the bed’s gonna be rockin’, and no one better come knockin’.*

“Xaver,” Ma says, her voice as tough as overdone steak. “I rarely get to see you as it is. I want you and Pippa at our house before the late news comes on. I will make a light supper.” She hangs up, cutting off my objection.

“What was all that about?”

“Ma wants us to stay over there.” I must look dejected because Pippa comes over to try to cheer me up by placing her hand on my dick.

“Do we have to leave right away?” she says, unzipping my slacks, delving deeper for her prize.

“We don’t have time for all that—Ahhh.”

*Maybe, just maybe, we do.*
