Chapter 130 UNEXPECTED SAVIOR

Chapter 130 UNEXPECTED SAVIOR
Godiva POV

After he dragged me by my waist in that manner, for a second I thought they were maybe acting a skit or that something else was going on. I looked around, searching to see if I'd find any hidden camera, but there was nothing.

I was about to violently remove his hand when it kept going lower gradually, from my waist toward my butt.

I was about to let out a loud scream when suddenly, somebody punched him to the ground.

My legs sold me out as I helplessly fell into a squat. I remained there with my head buried. Even if I wanted to stand back up, my legs were still numb.

I didn't know what was happening for the next two minutes. I only kept muttering, "Thank you Lord."

It wasn't until I heard Dina scream from afar that I lifted my head.

There she was, running toward me with the boys in front.

Only then did I look to see my savior and, to my amusement, I saw Jerald slapping Vinny hard across the face while he was already lying on the floor.

“Jerald!?” I gasped in disbelief.

My voice made him look my way, letting his guard down. It gave Vinny an opening and he forcefully kicked Jerald off him, sending him crashing to the ground with a loud bang.

Seeing Jerald in a vulnerable position and Vinny struggling to get up, Alex, Tyler, and Trevor rushed toward him, pinning him to the ground again.

“What happened, Div?” Dina asked, pulling me tightly against her chest and heaving a sigh of relief.

I smiled at how fast her heart was beating.

I wanted to explain the whole situation, but it felt too surreal. Before I knew it, I burst out laughing in disbelief.

Dusting himself off, Jerald rushed toward me and wrapped his arms around me while explaining to the four of them what he had witnessed.

“What? Jerald, you were here the whole time? You witnessed literally everything?” I questioned in surprise.

“Yes, I was,” he admitted, helping me back to my feet and supporting me as I stood.

“Then why didn’t you step in earlier?” I thundered.

“Guys, what do we do with him?” Alex cut in while still pinning Vinny to the ground.

At that point, a lot of people were already staring at us. Jerald signaled for them to lift Vinny up because the attention was becoming too intense.

Not minding the eyes on us, I stormed toward Vinny and kicked him violently back to the ground.

The moment I did, many spectators rushed toward us.

I could see the shock on Trevor’s face when I landed the kick. I guessed he never expected me to retaliate, at least not after the punches Jerald had already given Vinny.

“Let go of me, animals!” Vinny protested, trying to hide his face as he noticed more people gathering.

“I will let you go, but only after everyone hears you attempted to harass me in the open!” I screamed, making sure those around us heard.

“Yes, this tramp was about to harass me before my friend stepped in!” I shouted, making certain everyone knew the backstory.

“Well, almost doesn’t kill a bird,” a junkie-looking girl scoffed as she stepped out from the crowd and helped Vinny up.

“If you're a hoe, that doesn’t make us hoes,” Dina fired back, sending the crowd into a frenzy.

“Listen up, Vinny. Don’t you ever try this with any girl out there, you irritating pig,” I barked, spitting right beside him before turning away.

The competition was about to start.

“I warned you not to go with him, didn’t I?” Dina scolded, supporting me as we walked back toward the skatepark.

“I really didn’t think anything could ever go wrong in public. Guess I was wrong,” I admitted, heaving a sigh of relief.

“Sorry to cut you short, but I think you need to know that Vinny is actually the main host of the competition,” Tyler revealed, pointing toward Vinny who was now seated at the table reserved for the host.

“Why didn’t you say this sooner?” Alex demanded.

“It doesn’t matter. The competition ain’t a do-or-die affair. Plus, we already showed off our skills, so I’m chill,” I dismissed nonchalantly.

“He’s just a thug skater on a normal day. How was I supposed to know he was hosting this?” Tyler defended himself.

“Whatever. We’ll just enjoy watching and maybe Div and I will compete against Jerald and Tyler,” Dina suggested with a smile.

“Talking about Jerald, how did you get here?” I snapped, trying hard to swallow my laughter.

“Wow, I guess this is the famous Jerald,” Alex remarked, stretching out his hand for a handshake while completely ignoring my warning gestures again.

“I guess she couldn’t shut up about me?” Jerald teased, shaking his hand before flashing me a smile.

I instantly felt embarrassed and kept searching for words to say until an announcement over the public address system saved me.

“We regret to announce that foreigners from other places cannot partake in the competition,” the voice announced.

“Well, the feeling is mutual, baby!” Dina screamed as the skaters took their positions.

“Back to you, Jerald. How did you find me?” I demanded, pretending to be angry.

“I’m not hearing you clearly. Why don’t we go back there and talk?” Jerald suggested, shouting into my ear while pointing toward the same exit.

“Why does this feel like déjà vu?” I grinned, signaling to Dina.

“Let me tag along briefly,” Dina announced to the guys before hurrying after us.

“You’re definitely needed in this conversation,” I remarked, locking arms with her as we walked away.

When we finally stopped several meters away from the exit, far from everyone else, we remained silent for minutes, avoiding each other’s gaze.

“Did we really leave that fun place just to stare at each other?” Dina complained, finally breaking the silence.

“So, how did you find me here?” I asked seriously.

“Dina told me you needed my help, and I also needed to visit my mum. Or have you forgotten Dad’s hospital is at All Saints?” Jerald explained confidently.

“Haew, what a small world,” I muttered before turning sharply toward Dina.

“And who asked you to disclose where I was? When you asked me last night, remember I didn’t exactly permit you to tell him my whereabouts?”

“News flash, girl. He was already here even before I asked that question. He arrived during your graduation party. Thank God you didn’t sight him then,” Dina fired back without a trace of remorse.

“Wow, I should have known,” I muttered in utter disbelief.

“Anyways, I’m here to help now,” Jerald stated seriously.

“What exactly do you know that you're so determined to help with?” I challenged playfully.

“Well, about you being Mr. Mike’s daughter,” Jerald revealed casually.

“What? You already told him?” I exclaimed, spinning toward Dina.

“Well, we’ll confirm all suspicions when we visit them tomorrow,” Dina announced.
