CHAPTER 35

~ Allison Gulferic's Point Of View ~

"Excuse me!? My son was the one hurt here! Miss Principal, please. What kind if students are these? They don't even look like they came from a renowned family."

I wanted to laugh with sarcasm and throw a fist at this woman as the same thing that my daughter did to her son. How dare she judge my children that easily!?

"Mrs. Anderson, we understand what happened but we also need to be fair and listen to the children's explanation." The principal became calm and that made me a little less worry. I believe in my children and I grew them with me.

The only person who knows them to their deepest is me. Their mom.

I bent down on one knee, facing Zam and cupping her chubby cheeks in between of my palms. "Baby, tell them what happened, okay? And remember..." I look straight into her eyes.

"Don't lie," she continued so I gave her a final smile and kiss her on the forehead. She scrunched her nose, I remember those days that I used to do that when pissed or annoyed. She let out a plenty of heavy breaths before turning to them. "I was playing at the swing and I put my bag under the tree when Simon came. I couldn't come down fastly when I saw him opening my bag but when I did, he already run with my assignment."

Her reddish heart shaped lips pouted, making my knees weak a little. The way her eyes shimmer as her hands are gripping mine are telling me that she's scared. Who wouldn't when the woman in front of her was literally glaring at her.

I badly wanted to interfere and just pull her hair out of this place but my kids would also be in trouble if I start a fight.

"Then when I try to take it from him, it ripped." She explained further.

"And you punched him because of that?" The woman raised her brow to my daughter and that was the last line of my patience.

I pulled Zam to hide behind my back and face the woman. I don't care if she's a high profile person! I was about to throw my words to her when her husband suddenly interfered.

"Babe, let's stop this. Both of them are at fault and they are kids. They are meant to make mistakes, so let's let this slip." His voice was calm and doesn't seem affected about the children's queries. Good for her thar she has a husband like him, because I'm really ready to clash with them if ever.

The man kneeled and level his head to his son, smiling brightly and beautiful. Thinking that they are going to have a talk, I face my triplets to ask them if they're okay but my whole body seems to stop moving when I saw the three of them... Looking at the little boy who was being consoled by his mom and dad.

Even if they don't say it, I can understand that they are longing for that attention too.

I have to let out a heavy breath and look at the ceiling just so I can stop my tears. Zaile was the first one to notice me staring at them so I quickly composed myself and give him a smile.

"Okay then, should we settle this peacefully and let the children be friends again–"

The principal's words were stopped when the door opened. All of our attention diverted at the person who suddenly entered.

"Uncle!"

Wearing a black simple shirt inside his formal suit, and was paired with jeans. I feel like my soul flew out of my body as I stare at the man who casually stepped in.

"Simon, what happened? Are you okay? Who punched you, huh?" The new arrival's forehead knotted and his thin lips became even thinner as he survey the whole room to find the person who punched the little kid.

"Zion, my man, it's alright. It's just a little fight between children." Mr. Anderson was too late for his explanation because Zion's eyes were already at the triplets behind me.

Then his eyes finally diverted to me, his lips gape open and I can see shock and fright in his eyes at the same time. A lone tear quickly escaped my eyes but even before he can look back at my children, I wipe my face and pulled Zam out of the office.

"Ziex, Zaile..." I called to the two so they immediately followed.

"Allison!"

My heart was beating too damn fast that I feel like losing my consciousness right at this second.

"Let's go–"

"Allison." My knees trembled and I almost lost my balance when Zion held my wrist to stop me from walking away. My eyes were glued on his hand that was currently touching me, still thinking if this was true or I am just dreaming. "Allison..."

He took my attention again but when I look back at him, his eyes remained on the triplets, specifically, to Ziex. My son also have the same expression as Zion. His forehead was knotted and his eyes baffled with confusion.

I bit my lower lip and try to get rid of Zion's grip but he was too strong for me. I gave up and a quiet sob was stuck in my throat. Zion's eyes diverted to my direction.

I'm not sure if I was right but anger, pity, longing and torment was visible in his still perfect eyes. I shook my head to tell him not to interfere first.

He is not that dumb not to know that these kids are his. I mean.. the similarities are already visible but just in case he doesn't want to take the responsibility as a father, I would gladly accept that and give them everything I have, myself.

"Mommy, let's go home." Zam silently pulled the hem of my clothes as Zion and I keeps on staring at each others eyes. "I'm hungry," she added and that's when I felt Zion's grip slowly losing.

As soon as he freed me, my automatic action was to turn my back from him. I smiled gently at my triplets when confusion was still drawn on their faces. "Let's go, babies. Mommy will buy you something delicious." I planned so they will forget about what happened.

Knowing that Zaile was pretty mature and smart, I don't want him to ask who was that man because I don't want to lie to them. I just don't want to blurt out that it was their father.

The four of us are quiet as we started walking towards the exit if the school. I don't know why my heart suddenly beats erratically but I'm sure it has something to do with Zion... And our kids.

I secretly pinched myself to keep me compose but it never really helped. I'm scared, too scared that I already thought of some consequences I might face.

For sure Zion was mad and angry, who wouldn't be angry at what I did? But I did that for a reason and because I was scared too. I don't know wether to feel pity for myself or for Zion. He's still rich just by the short time I had a glance at him. He can do anything under his power and I'm a nobody.

Ever since I lived here with my kids inside me, I never once contacted anyone about my company, the family I left, and everything that have something with me. Whenever I need some money the only person I could call was Evelyn. She never showed herself yet she never left me and was always there, ready to help. I owe her a lot.

Reminiscing those days, I stopped from my track when a fine built man stopped us from walking. He stood in front of us, towering us.

"I can give you a ride if you want to go home." His deep and cold voice made my legs tremble. Now, Zion is not hiding his anger towards me and that made me more scared.

What if he take our kids away from me!? What if he can't accept them and doesn't want to take responsibilities!?

Just the thought of it is already making me teary but it was quick to immerse when I heard my son's voice.

"Do you have a car?" It was Ziex. His hand was inside his pockets, head almost falling behind him as he look up to Zion with the same fierce appearance.

"I do," Zion answered back and I disregard the softness I saw in his eyes. I can't read him. He changed a lot, not just physically but also hus expressions. He was more stiff and cold than usual.

He used to show me those soft gestures and sweet smile.

"Is it cool? Does it transform to a robot?" Ziex's excited voice pulled me out again from reverie.

I keep on trying to see how Zion would react to them but was disappointed and pained when he only stared at them, coldly and emotionless.

"Let's go. We are not going with strangers, remember?" I leveled my coldness to his. I don't care about what's happening anymore.

If he's not happy that I let our kids live then I can accept the fact that he don't want to associate himself with us. And he probably had his own family that's why he acted this way, he might be thinking that our triplets can be a threat to their perfect family.

I felt like all the emotions and pain I have kept for years are drowning me now. Thinking that he already had a family of his own, knowing that he hate our kids and don't want to associate with them, and just by looking at him right now as he watch us leave is making my heart break in pain and torment.

All I want was the best for my kids.

When I thought that we can finally go home peacefully after hailing a cab to our place, I saw an expensive and luxury car trailing behind us. I can clearly see who's driving it because of its wide and open design.

It was Zion.

"Mommy, is he your friend?"

And that was the question I was trying to avoid. As much as possible, I want to avoid any questions from the triplets when it comes to my association with him. It's just too... complicated.

How can I say that we're best friends but accidentally made four angels?

But even if it was an accident, I don't have any regrets and would never wish for it not to happen. My one angel and the triplets are the only reason why I keep myself alive after all those hardships I have been through.

"We're... classmates," I closed my eyes hardly when I stumbled with my words. I can even feel my lips shivering just by the simple question.

I was able to breath nicely when they stopped asking questions and remain quiet until we finally arrived at our house. I ushered them in even before Zion saw us but too late.

He arrived in front of our house and didn't even bother looking at the surrounding. I'm sure his family won't live in this kind of community. He would surely won't let them.

"Allison!"

"Allison, let's talk."

My eyes averted at the first person to call me, it was Aldrich. Zion also looked at him but he doesn't look bother at his presence. Aldrich walk towards me and drape his arm around my shoulders.

"Isn't it too early for the triplets to come home from school?" He asked but my eyes was still intact to Zion and he saw that. That's when he finally realized that someone was in front of our house. "Hey bro, do you need something?"

Isn't he scared of him?

I want to voice that our because it was too obvious that Zion was surrounded with dark aura. The tension between us was too intense and I'm sure Aldrich can feel it.

"We need to talk, Allison." Zion approached me as if he didn't heard what Aldrich asked.

He was about to pull my wrist when Aldrich stopped him by pulling my other hand. Both are holding at each side of my wrist, I look like a toy of two boys who both want to be played.

"Let go before I make you." Zion's voice was threatening and I would instantly obey if he say it to me.

Though Aldrich did as what I thought because his grip just tightened and pulled me gently to him until my body bumped his.

"She's not going anywhere." Aldrich fired back, unlike Zion, he looks more approachable and genuinely joyous even with the situation he was in. The smile on his lips looks like a sarcastic grin on Zion so his I saw how his eyes changes to a much more dangerous piercing glare. "Don't look at her like that. She's not going with you." He added when he noticed the danger in Zion's eyes.

The event became more dreadful and I was ready to take the risk and stop them when our attentions was piqued by the little voice coming from behind us.

"Give us back our mommy."
