CHAPTER 28: MOVED ON

LIAM

I went to the place where we played when we were still young, many have changed, so this was a sea and not a river. We were still young at that time so we thought the sea was a river.

I walk and keep walking along the shore until I stop. The sun is setting down and it’s so good to see how it goes down slowly.

“it’s beautiful, right?” a voice came out of nowhere and my heart beats so loud when I saw who was it.

“ Sofie” I can’t say her name properly because I feel like there’s something on my throat that I cant spit out.

“ How are you? It’s been how many years since you visited this place” she look at me.

“ mmm we were wrong before, we thought it was a river but it’s not” I look at the sea.

“ me too, I thought it was a river but it’s not, I went here many times expecting to see you again until I just accepted the fact that you are not coming” we were both watching at the sunset.

“ I’m sorry “ she look at me when I said it.

“ I’m sorry for what I did” I sadly say

“It’s already done, it’s done and we can not do anything about it. All we have to do is to forget the bad things happened and keep the good thing that happened. I forgot it, sometimes you need to forget something for you to move on and face the new beginning” I look at her.

“ Does that mean you already forgotten me?” I ask.

“ Why will I forget you? You are one of those who gave me happy memories” she said.

“ Liam let’s just forget the bad things that happened between Let’s just move on and grow up” my heart hurts when I heard it from her.

“ did you move on?” I ask

“ yes I have, I have moved on for what happened. 2 years is enough for me to move on. How about you?” she asks

“ not yet, that is why I’m here. I still can not move on from you” I look at her seriously.

“ Liam I am getting married” I felt hurt again

“ you are just getting married and not yet married, Sofie I can not move on without you” I sadly say.

“ well you have to, you need to move on without me because I was able to do it without you,” she said.

“ is that what you want? Move on even there’s still hope for us? Why is it so fast?”

“ fast? You have forgotten me, that’s it. You have forgotten that there is a person who loves you so much and that person thought that she will be able to see the face of his love but she loses. She didn’t see the person she loved because before she was able to him, he had already hidden” her tears fell.

“ you stand for being a hidden master not just being literal but you also kept the real Liam inside. You thought you lost the people who love you but you never thought that I was still here”

“ you forgot that I was still here because all you knew is that it’s your only brother who loves you. It’s your only brother who you can lean on. It’s your brother keeping you alive but you are wrong! I was there! I was there to help you but you pushed me away” this is the only time I felt her anger at me.

“ Liam you can’t do anything now, it’s already late. 2 years have past and if you love me you can find me”

“ I tried looking at you!” I said.

“ For how many days? Months? Because that was 2 years, I was just here in the Philippines. Within 2 years you didn’t look for me. You didn’t look for me where we first said I love you to each other. I was there every day and expecting you to come” I can’t believe what she said.

“ Sofie I went there before,” I said.

“ You went there but it’s too late Liam” she wiped her tears.

“ We have to move on Liam, we have to” I felt like I was stabbed many times for what she said. I thought if I went back here and she saw me she will change her mind and will not continue the wedding but I’m wrong. I went back to have a closure with our relationship before.

“ I will get married next week and I want you to be happy with me” I bow my head when she said that at the same time the sun went down.

“ Is this the end?” is this the end for us.

“ No!, this is just the beginning to embrace new life” I disagree with what she was saying

“ you’re my new life, Sofie, it’s you and only you”, I said

“ Liam” I raised my head and look at her.

“ you said move, right? I’ll do it. You said to step up and we have to embrace a new life, okay I got it now”

“ I will do everything you said to me” I added

“ thank you For that Liam,” she said

“ by the way best wishes” after saying that to her I turned my back and started walking away from her.

I went back to the mansion and packed all my things, I don’t need to stay here longer because there is no more reason for me to stay here.

I called Mr. Ronald to sent me a private plane because there is no available flight for me so that I can now go home.

I was in the airport and about to enter the plane when my people came across me.

“ is she here?” I ask.

“ yes Young Master, we struggled a little bit because she was so naughty,” said one of my people. I nodded and went inside the plane. I almost laugh because of how she looks at me.

“ Hey, there my love lady” I greeted her and smiled.

“ are you crazy Liam Montequinto!” she shouted, I can’t stop laughing because her hands were tied and it looks like they struggled to get her.

“ buckle up my lady because we are going home” I wink at her and sited beside her she looks at me very angry. I ignored her and I wear my shades while laughing.

Does she think I will just let her go like that? I was able to find her before when I first came back to find her. I saw her at the same place where we said I love you to each other but I was so afraid that time, I have no guts to talk to her and I went back home.

Now is the time for the real Liam to show.
