CHAPTER 27: WEDDING INVITATION

LIAM

It’s been two years and I still couldn’t find Sofie. I went to their house but she and her family were not staying there anymore. My remorse was so big that even I can’t accept me anymore. I lost the woman I love because of what I did.

I talked to Thalia and ask why did she do that, she said she did it because of money. Why did Sofie inherit half of Don Ricardo’s property for only helping her once while was doing everything she can even if she had to sell her body only to get rich. She was jealous of Sofie so she was able to do those things.

“ Young Master someone is looking for you downstairs,” said Mr. Ronald.

“ who is it?” I ask.

“ I think you should go down Young Master” I went down to see who it was and I was surprised by Sofie’s mother.

“ Mom!” I hug her

“ How are you son?” I smiled, I can’t believe that she still calls me her son even though Sofie and I are not married anymore.

I didn’t want to sign the divorce paper but my brother said it’s the only way for the two of us to get free from the past.

“ I’m okay. What brought you here?” I ask. She gave me a letter, it’s a wedding invitation. I was nervous and I was surprised that I saw Sofie’s name written on it together with the man she will marry.

“ Liam I know that the last time you two saw each other, it was not good and as her mom, I was also hurt when I heard about it but what hurts me more is when I see her so sad” I saw the sadness in her eyes.

“ she will get married next week and I wanted to bring back the joy in her face and I know that it’s not the man she will be marrying who can put it back” I’m looking at her.

“it’s up to you now. You can choose your plan. I just want to bring back the joy in her face” she stands up and so do I.

“ This is your last chance Liam and you should not waste it, bring back the real Liam that’s been hiding there” she left after saying that and it stuck on my mind what she last said to me.

“ I’ll go now,” I said goodbye to her and I carefully think while holding the invitation.

“ Young Master,” said Mr. Ronald.

“ what is it?” I ask

“ Can I have a request?” he asked. I frowned and said yes. He stood in front of me and he punch me.

“ Mr. Ronald, why did you punch me?” I said madly, that hurts even if he’s already old his punch is still strong.

“ I’m sorry I wanted to do that a long time before but it’s the only time I had a strong mind to do it” I look at him and he was smiling.

“ what’s happening here? “ Lucas comes down while carrying his child.

“ I punch Young Master Liam,” Mr. Ronald said immediately and my brother was happy about it.

“ hahaha! You deserved it bastard” he came to me and grab the letter I’m holding and his eyes widened.

“ Sofie’s getting married?” he asks.

“ what Sofie?” Fatima came and hold their child.

“ Sofie’s mom went here and gave it to Young Master” they were confused and they look at me.

“ so Sofie is getting married? Hmmm nice huh” I look at Fatima, is she teasing me.

“ yes Young Lady, her mother gave him the last chance for her daughter,” said Mr. Ronald

“ so what are you doing here? She gave a last chance” said Lucas. I stand up and put my hands in my pocket.

“we’re done, we have to accept that we are not together now, and let’s just leave her with her new life” I took a deep breath and look at them but my brother punch me. Why do they keep on punching me? I’m getting pissed!

“ you know what with all the bastard people in the world, you are the most and worst bastard I knew. How many years more are you going to waste huh? 10 years? Then your such a worst bastard! Make sure stand you’re being a hidden master!” He left and I look at Fatima and Mr. Ronald who are disappointed with me.

I am fixing my thing right now because I’m going to the Philippines.

“ I’m going now, tell my brother to look for the company while I’m gone” Mr. Ronald nodded and I went out.

I was already on the airplane while thinking about what I’m supposed to do but nothing is coming into my mind. I’m getting pissed again.

The plane arrived and I’m staying in the house where I grew up and where I met my first love.

I went to the places where I always saw Sofie around until I got into the garden, this is the place where she said I love you to me. I washed my face that is full of regret on it.

I want her back and be my lady again.
