Chapter 251 Bridal Chamber
Chapter 251 Bridal Chamber
He stood up and reached out to undo the ties on her wedding dress, his movements careful and focused, without any rush. The skirt of the dress slowly slid down, revealing her smooth skin underneath. Olivia instinctively curled up a bit, her hands lightly covering her chest, her cheeks flushed red like they might bleed.
Luca noticed her little move, and the smile in his eyes grew deeper. He leaned down to her ear, his warm breath brushing her earlobe, making her itch all over. "What are you afraid of? No need to hide from me."
His voice was low and magnetic. Olivia's ears burned instantly, her whole body went soft, and her hands dropped naturally.
Luca reached out and gently pulled her into his arms, resting his chin on the top of her head and stroking her hair softly, his touch tender and devoted.
"Olivia," he said softly, his voice catching just a little, "I'm sorry. I made you suffer before, left you to handle everything alone."
Olivia leaned against him, her heart softening at his words. She reached out and hugged his waist tightly. "It's all in the past. I don't blame you, really."
All the hardships, sleepless nights, and grievances she'd endured seemed to turn into sweetness in that moment. She knew Luca hadn't meant it; he had his own constraints too. Now he was by her side, making it up to her with all his gentleness—that was enough.
Luca tightened his arms, holding her even closer, like he wanted to merge her into his bones and blood. "From now on, I won't let you suffer even a little. You won't face anything alone. No matter what happens, I'll be right there with you, protecting you."
He lowered his head and kissed her forehead lightly, then her eyes, her cheeks, and finally her lips. The kiss was soft and gentle, full of cherish and love.
Olivia closed her eyes and slowly kissed him back. All her shyness and tension faded away in that gentle kiss.
The room was quiet, filled only with their steady breaths and strong heartbeats. Luca gently stroked her hair, his touch unbelievably tender, murmuring softly, "I love you, Olivia. This lifetime, only you."
Olivia leaned in his arms, a happy smile on her lips, whispering back, "I love you too, Luca. Forever."
The next morning, Olivia opened her eyes to find Luca already awake, leaning against the headboard, watching her softly.
"Awake?" Luca smiled as soon as she opened her eyes and reached out to touch her forehead lightly. "Sleep well? Feeling okay?"
Olivia stretched lazily, scooted closer to him, and leaned on his shoulder, her voice still sleepy and lazy. "Slept great. Never felt this rested before."
"Good." Luca smiled and kissed the top of her head. "Kitchen's got breakfast ready—all your favorites. We'll eat after you freshen up."
Olivia nodded and got up to wash up. As soon as she stood, her body felt sore and wobbly. Luca quickly grabbed her, looking worried. "What's wrong? Did I wear you out?"
"No, just not fully awake yet." Olivia shook her head with a smile, her cheeks turning red again as she thought of last night, her heart warm.
Luca saw her flushed cheeks and smiled even more. He scooped her up in his arms. "I'll carry you. Don't want you falling."
"No need, I can walk." Olivia felt a bit shy and pushed at him lightly.
"Be good." Luca's tone was firm but full of warmth. "Let me take care of you more, okay?"
Olivia looked into his serious eyes, her heart warming, and stopped resisting. She nestled in his arms as he carried her to the bathroom.
After washing up, they went downstairs for breakfast. The table was full of Olivia's favorites: sandwiches, milk, fried eggs, fruit, and her beloved little cakes.
"How did you know I love these?" Olivia picked up a small cake, took a bite, and her eyes lit up.
"Of course I know." Luca smiled and put a fried egg on her plate. "You mentioned it once before, and I remembered. From now on, I'll make sure you eat what you love every day."
Olivia's heart felt warm.
After breakfast, Luca pulled out his phone and video-called Emma. It connected quickly, showing Leo and Linus on the screen. Leo was in his little pajamas, hair messy, lying next to Linus with a grumpy face.
"Daddy! Mommy!" Leo's eyes lit up when he saw them, his grumpiness gone. He waved excitedly. "When are you coming back? I miss you!"
"Be good, Leo," Olivia waved back with a smile, her voice gentle. "Mommy and Daddy are going on our honeymoon. We'll be back after some fun time. Stay home and keep great-grandpa company, okay?"
"What's a honeymoon?" Leo tilted his head, confused. "Can I come? I want to play with you too."
Luca smiled and pretended to ruffle Leo's hair on the screen. "Honeymoon is just for Mommy and Daddy. When we get back, we'll take you to the park to fly kites and to the amusement park, okay?"
"Really?" Leo's eyes sparkled, and he clapped. "Okay! Hurry back then. I'll be good and wait for you!"
Linus sat beside him, watching them on the screen with a pleased smile. "Have fun, you two. Don't worry about home. I'll take care of Leo. The company's under control with the assistant. Just relax on your honeymoon and make up for all those lost years."
"Thanks, Grandpa." Luca nodded. "Take care of yourself too—take your meds on time, eat regularly, don't overdo it."
"Don't worry, I got it." Linus smiled. "Have a great time. Send lots of photos and share the fun stuff with us."
They chatted a bit more until Leo started fussing to go play, so they hung up.
They packed up and headed to the airport to start their honeymoon.
No fixed plan—they just wanted to drop everything and enjoy their time together.
First stop: Paris. They landed in the afternoon, with perfect sunshine and a gentle breeze. Luca held Olivia's hand as they walked out of the airport, breathing in the fresh air. Olivia's face broke into a bright smile.
"How is it? Like it here?" Luca looked down at her, eyes gentle.
"Love it," Olivia nodded with a smile. "Always wanted to see Paris, never had the chance. Now I'm here—with you."
Luca laughed and ruffled her hair. "Wherever you want to go from now on, I'll go with you. To the ends of the earth if you want."
