Chapter 147 Had a Child with Someone Else

Chapter 147 Had a Child with Someone Else

"I'm telling you, only I'm good enough for you. A woman like Olivia doesn't deserve you at all!"

As she spoke, she lunged at Luca, trying to hug him.

Luca's eyes turned cold, and he shoved her away hard.

Windy stumbled back a few steps and looked at him in disbelief.

"Get out!" Luca's voice was full of disgust. "Without my permission, don't ever step into my office again!"

Windy froze at his words and left the office in embarrassment.

Watching her go, Luca felt irritated by what she'd just said, and his headache hit hard again.

At that moment, he couldn't wait to see Olivia and Leo.

Windy walked out of the president's office, feeling both angry and hateful.

She couldn't figure out why Luca would treat her like this for Olivia.

She'd been with Luca for so many years, but all he cared about was that loose woman Olivia!

She couldn't just let it go. Windy thought about this, a ruthless glint in her eyes, then dialed a number. After hanging up, she took a deep breath and fixed her clothes and makeup.

She couldn't give up on Luca like this. He just hadn't seen it with his own eyes, so he didn't believe her.

She had to make Luca see the truth and come back to her.

Luca went back to his desk. The pain in his temples got worse. He instinctively pulled out his phone to call Olivia, but remembering she didn't want to see him, he put it down.

He opened the app and played Leo's drawing video. The little boy's soft voice came through the speaker, and the migraine eased a bit.

In the afternoon, Windy got a photo and an address. It showed Olivia and a child shopping at the mall.

Windy sneered, then went back to Luca's office.

She pushed open the door, her eyes red like she was really upset. "Luca, I calmed down and thought about it. I was too impulsive. I shouldn't have guessed about Olivia or said those mean things. Don't be mad at me, okay?" She walked to the desk, her voice soft like cotton. "I know I was wrong. I'll watch my mouth from now on."

Luca glanced at her, remembering how she'd saved his life years ago. He frowned impatiently. "Good that you know."

"Yeah!" Windy nodded quickly, a calculating look in her eyes. "To make it up to you, let me take you to dinner? There's a new restaurant at the city center mall with amazing desserts—you'll love it. We can shop around too. You've been busy with work, so it'll be a nice break."

Luca wasn't in the mood at first, but he thought he'd been too harsh earlier, and his migraine wasn't gone, so he wanted some fresh air. He nodded. "Okay."

Windy was thrilled inside but acted sweetly. "Shall we go now?"

Luca stood, grabbed his coat, and they left the office together. They got in the car and headed to the mall.

They soon arrived at the city center mall. Windy led Luca inside.

Sure enough, she quickly spotted the familiar figures not far away.

Windy pulled Luca to stand near a kids' clothing store. She watched Olivia fixing Leo's collar and said loudly on purpose, "Luca, see? I didn't lie. Olivia really has a kid, and look how much she cares about him."

At that moment, Leo was in a light gray little suit, tilting his face up for Olivia to adjust him. He mumbled, "Mommy, do I look like the little prince from the cartoon now?"

"Yes, our Leo is the cutest little prince." Olivia smiled, gently fixing his tie, her fingers so soft it was like they could squeeze out water.

Luca's eyes went ice-cold as he stared at Windy's profile. A storm raged in his heart.

He suddenly remembered all the fights between Olivia and Windy back then. Windy was always the innocent one.

Now he realized those fights were always started by Windy, and he'd always taken her side, hurting Olivia badly every time.

"You invited me to dinner today just to bring me here to see this, right?" Luca's tone was flat and cold, with a hint of sarcasm. "You knew they were here and tricked me into coming."

Windy's heart skipped a beat. She hadn't expected him to say that. She quickly teared up and turned away, looking wronged. "How can you think that of me? I just got a photo from a friend and thought it was a coincidence, so I wanted you to see it too."

She twisted the hem of her clothes, tears welling up. "I'm doing this for you. I don't want you to be fooled. Olivia came back out of nowhere with a kid, and she's still tangled up with you. Who knows if she's using the kid to trap you?" She sniffed, acting like it was all for his sake. "I just don't want you to end up raising someone else's child without knowing."

"Raising someone else's child?" Luca sneered, his doubts growing stronger.

He remembered how desperate and tired Olivia looked when she asked for a divorce back then. He'd thought she was just being dramatic. Now he saw she'd probably had enough of his favoritism and Windy's constant pushing.

And that life-saving favor Windy always brought up—was it really that perfect?

Just then, Leo spotted Luca. His eyes lit up like stars. He broke free from Olivia and ran over. "Uncle LO!"

The little guy ran too fast and almost bumped into a passerby. Luca stepped forward quickly and caught him steadily.

"Leo, slow down. Don't fall." Luca patted his head, his voice softening without thinking.

"Uncle LO, why are you here? Did you come to play with me?" Leo hugged his neck, grinning with his two little tiger teeth showing.

Luca's heart melted, guilt flooding him. "Yeah, just happened to run into you."

Olivia saw this and her face darkened. She walked over fast to pull Leo back. "Leo, come with Mommy. We still need to get ice cream."

"No! I want to play with Uncle!" Leo clung tight to Luca's neck. "Mommy, Uncle LO is a good guy. Why don't you like him?"

"Grown-up stuff, you wouldn't get it." Olivia's tone was icy as she pried at Leo's hands. "Be good. Time to go."

"I do get it! I just want Uncle to play with me!" Leo's eyes reddened, his voice full of grievance as he might cry.

Windy stepped in to smooth things over, smiling innocently. "Olivia, don't be so harsh. The kid likes Luca so much. Let them hang out a bit."

She went to Olivia's side, pretending to care. "By the way, I still don't know who the dad is. Raising a kid alone must be tough. If you need help, you can ask Luca. He's kind and would surely help."

It sounded caring, but really, it hinted that Olivia was using the kid to latch onto Luca.

People around started whispering and staring, making Olivia uncomfortable.

"Who my child's dad is has nothing to do with you." Olivia looked at Windy coldly. "As for you, prying into other people's business like this—aren't you bored?"
