Chapter 102 We Live Together
He wanted to kiss her, to pull her into his arms, to make her his again.
This thought grew stronger and stronger, almost impossible to control.
Just as he was about to lean down, the door to the lounge swung open.
Ken walked in with two bottles of water. Seeing the scene inside, he froze for a moment before giving an awkward smile. "You guys... everything okay? I just came to check on things. Carry on, carry on."
With that, he set the water down, quickly rushed out, and closed the door behind him.
The lounge fell silent again, the atmosphere growing even more charged.
Luca's gaze returned to Olivia, the desire in his heart still burning, nearly breaking through the barriers of reason.
"Luca, let go of me!" Olivia pushed against his chest, but her strength was pitifully weak.
Luca didn't let her go. Instead, he reached out, hesitating slightly but with a hint of recklessness, to unzip her tracksuit.
"Don't touch me!" Olivia struggled, her voice trembling.
But Luca was too strong; she couldn't fight back at all.
The zipper slid down bit by bit, revealing the white undershirt beneath. Her skin looked incredibly pale under the light, almost blinding him.
Luca's breathing grew heavier, his eyes filled with desire, his rationality slipping away little by little.
At that moment, tears suddenly fell from Olivia's eyes, rolling down her cheeks and landing on the back of his hand.
The warm sensation felt like a bucket of cold water, instantly extinguishing the fire of desire in Luca's heart.
He froze, staring at her tear-streaked face, seeing the fear and helplessness in her eyes. A sharp pain stabbed at his heart.
How could he do this to her?
He'd already hurt her once. How could he be so selfish and hurt her all over again?
Luca slowly stopped, his eyes filled with complex emotions as guilt and regret overwhelmed him.
"I'm sorry," he said in a low, hoarse voice, slowly straightening up and letting her go.
He turned around and quickly walked toward the door, feeling incredibly frustrated.
He was afraid that if he stayed any longer, he might do something even worse to hurt her.
"I'll take you home," Luca said, his voice carrying a faint trace of vulnerability.
Olivia wiped her tears and shook her head. "No need, I can go back on my own. Clara is still outside waiting for me."
"She won't wait for you," Luca said flatly, with a hint of self-mockery. "A small-time sparring partner isn't worth her time."
Olivia fell silent. She knew Luca was telling the truth. In the eyes of these big shots, she was insignificant.
Luca pulled out his phone and dialed Clara's number.
"Clara, hello. Olivia accidentally twisted her ankle. I'll take her home first, so it won't disturb your game."
Clara paused on the other end before laughing. "Alright, take good care of her. Luca, I didn't expect you to be so considerate toward Olivia. What's your relationship with her? I think I saw her at your wedding. Is she your ex-wife?"
She had long suspected there was something between them, and now she was even more sure.
Luca didn't answer. He just said goodbye and hung up.
"Let's go. I'm taking you home," Luca said in a commanding tone, leaving no room for refusal.
Olivia felt uneasy. She was afraid that if Luca took her home, he might see Leo.
Leo was her bottom line. She absolutely couldn't let Luca know about Leo's existence.
"No, really, I can take a cab back," Olivia insisted, her heart full of anxiety.
"A cab?" Luca sneered. "In your condition, how are you going to take a cab? Or are you afraid I'll find out where you live? Afraid I'll see Jason?"
His words hit right at Olivia's deepest worry. Her heart raced, and she quickly said, "No, I just don't want to trouble you."
"I don't mind the trouble." Luca stepped forward and grabbed her hand without hesitation. "Let's go. If we don't leave now, your ankle will swell up, and you'll be the one in pain."
Olivia was forced to follow him out of the lounge, her heart tangled with conflict and despair.
She couldn't let Luca know about Leo. Absolutely not.
"I really don't need you to take me. I live with Jason. He'll come pick me up," Olivia lied, hoping Luca would give up.
Luca's expression instantly turned cold, his grip on her wrist tightening. His voice was thick with jealousy. "You live with him?"
"Yes," Olivia forced herself to say, praying he would believe her and let it go. "We live together now. I don't want him to misunderstand, so please don't take me home."
She thought this would make Luca back off, but instead, his gaze grew even colder, and his tone more domineering. "I'm taking you home. I want to see just how he misunderstands, and how he takes care of you."
With that, he pulled her along, heading straight for the parking lot, giving her no chance to resist.
Olivia felt utterly hopeless. She didn't know what to do, only praying in her heart that Leo was out with Jason.
At the parking lot, Luca opened the car door, carefully helping her inside before walking around to the driver's seat and starting the engine.
"Address," Luca said flatly, his tone unreadable.
Olivia hesitated for a moment before giving the address of a neighborhood far from her real home.
It was a place she had rented before, now empty. She could only use this address to stall for now.
Luca didn't suspect anything. He started the car and drove toward the address she gave.
The atmosphere in the car was silent. Neither of them spoke.
Olivia stared out the window at the passing scenery, her mind a mess, unsure how to get out of Luca's grip.
All she knew was that she had to protect Leo. She couldn't let him get hurt.
The car moved smoothly and soon arrived at the entrance of the neighborhood Olivia had mentioned.
"We're here," Luca said as he stopped the car, his tone neutral.
Olivia let out a sigh of relief and quickly said, "Thanks for bringing me back. I can go in on my own."
With that, she opened the door and limped toward the neighborhood entrance.
Luca watched her retreating figure, not leaving immediately.
He took out his phone and called his assistant. "Check this neighborhood. See if Olivia really lives here. Also, find out if she's been living with Jason recently."
"Understood, sir," the assistant replied promptly.
Luca hung up, his deep gaze fixed on the neighborhood entrance, his mind full of suspicion.
He had a feeling Olivia was lying.
In her eyes, besides disgust and anger, there was a faint trace of panic, as if she was hiding something.
Whatever she was hiding, he would find out.
He wouldn't let her slip away from him again.
