Chapter 70 Something More Important

Raymond took Sophia to meet the renowned healer, Dalton Blake.

Since the risk of brain surgery was so high, Dalton chose to pursue a more conservative treatment for Sophia's blood clot.

Being over ninety years old, Dalton had limited mobility and would only personally attend to important individuals.

Sophia had heard of Dalton, the renowned healer, and had seen his photos online. When she met Dalton in person, she initially thought that Raymond had brought her here to discuss her pregnancy.

Feeling annoyed, she attempted to pull her hand away from Raymond's grasp.

But she couldn't break free.

"Raymond," Dalton greeted them as he laid a hand on his beard and smiled.

"Mr. Blake, hello!" Raymond led Sophia over and glanced at her before introducing her to Dalton. "This is my wife. Mr. Blake has already reviewed her medical records."

Sophia furrowed her brows slightly, finally calming down.

Raymond had brought her here not for the sake of her pregnancy.

"Mr. Blake, hello!" Sophia also greeted Dalton with a smile.

Dalton nodded with a smile and gestured for them to sit. He then brought out Sophia's medical records, put on his glasses, and glanced at them. He addressed the two in front of him directly, "Raymond, removing the blood clot in Mrs. Johnson's brain is not a simple matter. I don't have a better solution here either."

Sophia couldn't help but be surprised and looked at the man beside her.

"What is Dr. Dalton's suggestion, then?" Raymond asked Dalton in a gentle tone, still holding Sophia's hand.

"Long-term treatment, with consistent massages and medication, would yield better results. However, the medication does have slight toxicity, and it is not recommended for Mrs. Johnson to take it for an extended period," Dalton explained, stroking his beard. After observing Sophia for a few seconds, he smiled kindly and said, "Mrs. Johnson, would you mind if I diagnose you?"

Sophia politely nodded with a smile and extended her right hand.

Dalton smiled while stroking his beard and earnestly began to diagnose Sophia.

"Has Mrs. Johnson been considering getting pregnant recently?" Suddenly, Dalton asked in an unusually calm tone.

"Not considering," Sophia replied firmly, almost as soon as Dalton finished speaking.

Raymond looked at her sideways and didn't say anything.

Dalton nodded and changed the topic, "Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Jacobd from Glimmerock have top-notch medical skills. If Mr. Johnson and Mrs. Johnson want to speed up the dissipation of blood clots, they can go to Campbell's house. Their medical skills are not worse than mine."

Raymond looked at Dalton, feeling that he had something unsaid, but he didn't ask in front of Sophia.

He just asked a few more questions about the blood clot issue in Sophia's mind and left with her.

"Mr. Johnson, Dr. Dalton said he forgot to tell you something. Please go back again."

As Raymond was about to reach the gate with Sophia, Dalton's student ran over and said to Raymond.

Actually, Dalton didn't allow anyone to flag him down, and he would find an excuse to go back later.

Raymond nodded and said to Sophia, "You go back to the car and wait for me."

Sophia was not interested in what Dalton and Raymond had to say, so she directly pulled her hand away from Raymond's and left.

"Mr. Johnson, come this way!" Seeing Sophia leave, the student respectfully gestured to Raymond.

Raymond nodded and followed the student back.

"Dalton, please tell me!"

Dalton nodded and looked at Raymond straightforwardly. "Mrs. Johnson is pregnant."

Raymond was startled.

But then he thought he had replaced Sophia's contraceptives, so her pregnancy should be normal.

"According to the diagnosis, the fetus is only two to three weeks old." Dalton looked at Raymond and suddenly changed the topic, "However, Mrs. Johnson's health is not good."

"How can we save the child?" Raymond immediately asked.

This child was their first child and the one who could save Nicholas's life.

Dalton nodded and said in a deep voice, "The most important thing is for Mrs. Johnson to accept this child, and then we can discuss the follow-up issues."

Yes, only if Sophia accepts this child, there is a possibility of keeping it.

Otherwise, everything is just imagination.

"I understand. Thank you, Dalton." After a moment of contemplation, Raymond also nodded.

"You're welcome."

Raymond thanked her again, and when he got back in the car, he saw Sophia leaning back in her seat and chatting on her phone. He asked her where she wanted to go, but she didn't pay any attention to him. He glanced at her and leaned over to fasten her seatbelt. He couldn't believe he was asking her where she wanted to go. Sophia looked at him with surprise and responded without hesitation that she wanted to go to the venue. This smart car was Scott's masterpiece, and it was also the product she most wanted to see Johnson Group launch successfully. Raymond looked at her and told her that Lucas would be there. Sophia asked if that meant she was free to move around now, but before Raymond could answer, she turned to open the car door. Raymond grabbed her arm and said, "Accompany me to a party tonight." Sophia turned and looked at him, asking indifferently if it was an order. Raymond smiled and said, "No, it's a request, Mrs. Johnson." Sophia was momentarily stunned by Raymond's sudden smile, which was so gentle and full of indulgence, yet at the same time so seductive. Once she snapped out of it, she quickly averted her gaze and leaned back in her seat. Seeing that she didn't say anything, Raymond smiled and instructed the driver to go straight back to the hotel. He had other things to do initially, but now that Sophia was pregnant, there was nothing more important than that.
