Chapter 69 A Sure Thing

Sophia and Raymond returned to the hotel together. When they finished lunch, Lucas came back.

He reported that the display screen at the venue had accidentally had a wire pulled by a worker, causing the screen to loosen and collapse.

Although the screen was broken, there were no injuries, and all that was needed was to replace the screen.

Sophia did not doubt Lucas' investigation results.

However, Raymond didn't believe it.

While Sophia went to the restroom, Raymond instructed Lucas to closely monitor the worker who accidentally broke the wire, as well as his family and friends.

Lucas agreed. Just as he was about to leave, he saw Sophia walking out of the main bedroom, holding her purse, ready to go out again.

"Where are you going?" Raymond quickly called out to stop her.

"To the venue," Sophia turned back to look at him and answered.

There were two rehearsal sessions today, one at three o'clock and another at seven o'clock. She wanted to make sure everything was in order.

"Lucas will handle it. You come with me," Raymond said in a warm voice.

"Yes, Sophia, you can leave the press conference to me. I will keep a close eye on everything," Lucas immediately smiled and said.

Sophia glanced at Raymond and then at Lucas.

She trusted Lucas' ability to handle things, so she nodded and put her purse back.

Lucas respectfully smiled and left.

"You're not resting?" Raymond asked Sophia when she sat down and took out her phone, not knowing what she was looking at.

Sophia shook her head, staring at the phone screen without saying anything.

"Well, let's go then."

"Where to?" Sophia looked up at him and asked.

"Does the Boss want to meet with you?" Raymond glanced at her and went to get his suit jacket.

After Sophia and Raymond got in the car, they both fell asleep, leaning against the seat back for a while.

When she woke up, the car was parked outside a neat villa, and she realized that an hour and a half had already passed.

"Where is this?"

She glanced at the man next to her, who was quietly looking down at the documents, and then looked out the car window at the villa. Sophia straightened up and asked.

Seeing Sophia wake up, Raymond put down the files in his hand and softly said, "Meeting someone."

With that, he opened the door and got out of the car directly.

Seeing him get out of the car, Sophia also followed suit.

Someone was already waiting for them at the door, and as they walked over, they immediately gestured politely.

Raymond held Sophia's hand hanging at her side and led her, both walking inside together.

Just as they entered the villa, a tall woman wearing a duckbill hat and sunglasses walked out and brushed past them.

Sophia and Raymond completely ignored the woman, but she couldn't help but stop in her tracks. Her gaze, behind the sunglasses, fell on Raymond.

It wasn't until Raymond led Sophia into the villa and their figures disappeared that she withdrew her gaze and continued walking.

"Miss."

As soon as the woman left, a bodyguard immediately approached.

The woman nodded slightly and walked towards the nearby Maybach.

"After getting in the car, the woman asked the bodyguard in the passenger seat, Who was that man just now? Do you know him?"

The bodyguard glanced at the black Rolls-Royce not far away and said, "Miss, you mean the man who took a woman inside?"

The woman took off her sunglasses, revealing an exquisite face. As she applied makeup, she casually nodded. "Yes."

This face had undergone countless plastic surgeries to achieve its current sophisticated appearance.

It was like a real-life version of Barbie, cute, playful, and sexy.

"I haven't seen him before," the bodyguard respectfully replied.

"Find out." the woman took out her lipstick and applied it in front of the mirror, "By this time tomorrow, I want to know everything about that man's background."

She was the sole heir of the two prestigious families in Misty Harbor, the Hart family and Patterson Residence, Quinn Hart.

In this world, anything she liked would surely become hers, especially when it came to men.

"Yes, Miss," he replied.
