The return

Morning came quickly, the week ready to begin.

Charlotte and Nate dressed for school in whatever they wanted. The need to match in couple attire not necessary.

They each ate a bowl of cereal and drank their juice before coming out into the hallway where they met the guys.

"We will be riding together.", Bull said clearly. "Now that my Son goes to the school, it is not at all out of place for that to happen."

"What about the Cafe? Can we still get coffee?", Charlotte asked.

Bull smiled down at her as he turned his body to show Alan standing behind him holding coffees.

"This building is huge, so you know we had a cafe added in.", Alan said happily.

Charlotte smiled showing all of her teeth as she scooted forward taking her drink. She smiled up at Alan making her eyes turn into little crescents of joy.

Alan loved making her happy just for moments like this.

"Grayson and Seth have already made their way to class. You will see them just as you did before.", Bull instructed.

Axel will stay here and keep an eye out for us all.

"This will be a good day.", Charlotte announced.

With that the three left for the elevator and began their way to the University.

The apartment chosen made the trip to the University only take about five minutes. Pulling up in front and parking in the spaces meant for the guards, they exited the vehicle and began moving toward the guard house.

Charlotte hugged Bull telling him to have a good day. Nate then hugged his Father, not caring who was watching. Bull ruffled Nate's hair telling him he will see him after classes are over and they will travel back together.

"Okay, Dad", Nate said proudly.

Taking Nate's arm, Charlotte began walking into the grounds of the University. Nate dropped her off at her first class, placing a sweet kiss to her forehead. Turning, he made his way to his class as well.

Walking into her class, Professor Park looked up and smiled at Charlotte. Making his way over he stated, "Welcome back my dear." He then pushed his glasses up and made his way back to the front of his class where Grayson stood making absolutely no effort to blend in.

Class began with all the details she had missed while not being on campus. The passion Professor Park shared with his class for Archaeology poured from him into each of the students causing class to be enthralling. Time sped by as the class continued to pull the minds of the students into each detail being taught.

Class ended with all the students feeling disappointment that it was over for the day.

Gathering her tote bag, she waved at the Professor and Grayson as she headed to her next class.

Nate's Class ended as the students began to chatter loudly with excitement.

"The Goddess is back!!!"

"What? She's back!"

"Are you sure?"

"I'm sure! I'm sure!"

"Let's go see!!!!"

The class filed out as Nate smiled a sweet smile knowing exactly whom they were speaking of. There was no need to follow them. He knew she would not notice the looks or the talk. She has never been one to realize her beauty. Her kindness would outweight everything going on around her. He loved her so dearly.

Heading to her next class not noticing the crowd that had gathered around her as she walked. Her appearance gave happiness to others without meaning to.

Walking up the stairs to the Math Building the memories of Evan came flooding back. Would he be here? What would his reaction to seeing her be? Would him being near bring more danger to her? So many questions occupied her head as she entered the class only to find that he had not arrived if he were to come at all.

Taking a seat in the row that she would normally sit in, she decided to set on the end of the row as to not leave room for anyone to sit to her right.

The students that had followed her to this point did not enter Professor Kim's Class, word around campus spread about the seriousness of this specific Professor and they were not about to poke the bear.

Satisfied to get a glimpse of her, the students went on to their individual classes.

Class began on time and Charlotte had become aware of Evan sitting behind her. Choosing not to be the first to speak, she continued to focus on the lesson. She returned to class completely caught up as she had been taking classes from her home. Finishing her work, she left the workbook on her desk as she proceeded to pack up her tote to move on to lunch before her next class.

After being dismissed, she began to exit the building. Making her way to the stairs at the front of the building entrance, someone grabbed her wrist.

Turning her head quickly, she found Evan standing there holding her wrist forcefully. His eyes blazing with the golden color swirling within, she felt no fear.

Holding her chin up she jerked her wrist out of his hold.

Standing with strength she rubbed her wrist, "Hello, Evan."

That is all that she said, effectively snapping him out of his thoughts.

His face relaxing, "I didn't mean to.........it's just.........you didn't even pay any attention to me."

At a vantage point allowing him to see everything, Nate stood waiting to see if she needed him.

"So that gives you the right, does it!", she snapped back. "I will not be giving you any attention!"

Charlotte's face darkened, "Just so we are clear, you could not spare time for me what so ever once we stopped having sex." She then poked him in his chest with her finger as she made him back up, "Your need to own me, control me, made you lose focus on your own safety and you brought a threat to my door."

"There is no us. We are not meant to be. I wish you the best. May you find a girl that likes being a possession.", she said calmly as she took a step back smoothing her clothes with her hands while taking a deep breath. "Touch me like that again and I will make sure you are missing a finger upon your retreat."

Evan stood stunned not expecting her reaction. He did not attempt to grab her again and watched with regret as she walked away.

Nate walked further down the path and waited for her to pass. Upon seeing him she wrapped her arm in his and leaned her head against him. He had known her show of strength had been hard for her. Reaching down, he pulled up her sleeve to see the bruise forming. He did not judge nor become upset, "Let's go get this looked at."

She nodded her head showing the sadness in her eyes.

Nate texted, "Dad, can we go home for lunch?"

He proceeded walking down the path until he could see his Father standing at the end. Charlotte looked up at Nate feeling thankful. He knew what she needed in that moment.

The trip to the apartment did not take very long. Upon walking in, Charlotte could see shoes on the stand and knew the guys were inside. Alan had placed different kinds of cakes on the table. Axel had the first aid kit ready to doctor her wrist. Grayson and Seth each hugged her knowing today had been a hard day.

"You will not need to go back today to finish the rest of your classes. An internet issue has happened at the University.........unexpectedly.", Axel stated with a smirk.

"Thank you.", she said quietly.

"We heard you stood up for yourself and did well.", Grayson stated.

"You'll lose a finger, huh!", Seth stated."I'm proud."

They all laughed at that statement making her smile, "Too much?", she asked.

Bull stepped forward, "Not if he still has all of his fingers."

Charlotte felt content with her family around her. She knew the confrontation would happen and felt relieved for it to be done.
