Change of location

The time at the mansion held so many fond memories for them all through the months they remained.

Classes resumed at school however Nate and Charlotte decided to continue their schooling from home for a while longer. Mid year finals came and went without any trouble.

Grades released showing them both at the top of their own individual classes.

Keeping up with the classes had never seemed to be an issue. The only class that Charlotte missed being a part of would be the music class. The experience of being at the piano surrounded by other instruments held a stronger feeling when being there in person.

She and Nate talked through her thoughts on schooling and how she would like to move foward. He supported whatever decision she decided to make and told her he would follow her lead.

He never attempted to own her nor control the direction she took with anything. It did not seem as if it had ever crossed his mind.

Charlotte never reached back out to Evan. The state the relationship was in prior to the attack would not have been able to be saved even if that day had not happened.

Sitting on the bench in front of the goddess statue, Nate sat with Charlotte leaning against him as she enjoyed being close while she spoke with her Mother. The cold wind blew causing her to lean futher into Nate, "I think I am ready to go back to the University."

"Okay, what day would you like to return?", he asked without judgement.

Smiling knowing he would follow her lead no matter where she took him. "I would like to go back starting next week."

"I will let my Dad know and he will make the arrangements.", Nate said clearly.

Charlotte loved hearing him call Bull his Dad. It came naturally to Nate and Bull to be Father and Son, almost as if they were meant to be that all along.

"Let's head inside.", she said as she sat up.

Nate stood immediately reaching his hand out to assist her in standing.

Walking back to the house with her arm wrapped around his, she looked up at his sharp jawline and full lips. Admiring him as she walked feeling happy in the moment.

Entering the mansion Nate made his way to his Father. "Dad, Charlotte wants to start back at the University on Monday. Will that be a problem?"

"I will make it so.", Bull said easily.

"We will all be moving into a different apartment building, close to campus. The other one had been compromised and is no longer secure enough.", Axel chimed in.

"I will advise Grayson and Seth once they are done arguing.", Alan stated.

"What are they arguing about this time?", Bull questioned.

Alan shrugged his shoulders indicating he had no idea.

The remainder of the week went by quickly and soon Sunday arrived. The SUVs were loaded up and all left the mansion to move to the newest apartment.

Pulling up to an apartment building, the vehicles went into the underground garage which looked to be empty except for their vehicles.

Charlotte looked confused as she looked over at Bull.

"Your Father could not find an apartment he felt satisfied with, therefore he bought this building entirely. There will be plenty of room for whatever you would like to use the rooms for. So far the gym has been established along with a theater and gameroom.", Bull advised.

Charlotte nodded her head in agreement understanding the decision.

Pulling up to the door leading to the elevators, security remained posted and fully armed.

Charlotte waved to them and they smiled brightly waving back, happy to see her.

Another security personnel came out and took the vehicle to park it as the rest of the team exited the vehicles to enter together.

Entering the elevator the screen shown a place for a handprint. Bull placed his hand on the screen and the elevator immediately began to move.

Within moments the door opened to the floor at the top of the building. Doors lined the two sides of the hall.

"This room here on the left belongs to Grayson and Seth.", Bull pointed out.

"Axel will be staying up here with us this time. His room will be right here across the hall from this one.", he continued.

"The door on the right at the end is your room and the last on the left belongs to Alan and I.", he completed.

"Um......Dad?", Nate said with a question.

Bull reached out and ruffled his hair, "Son, you never leave her room now............why would you change now that we are not at home?"

Charotte smiled as she took Nate's hand and pulled him to go see the apartment. Dragging him behind in her haste, Nate followed her with a sweet smile on his face. He had been hoping they would not be separated.

Placing her finger on the keypad the door beeped allowing her to enter. The door opened into a little foyer in a baby blue color. A white bench sat to the left with little pink flowered cushions while a small dresser in a pale yellow stood to the right. On top of the dresser a light purple stained glass bowl sat. Above the dresser, glass knobs in various pastels had been placed to hang totes. The shoe rack stood beside the dresser holding house shoes for the guys and herself.

At the end of the little room a glazed sliding door stood separating them from the rest of the apartment.

Sitting on the bench Charlotte changed out of her shoes as did Nate. Entering the apartment the layout looked to be more personal and real. The kitchen was to the left with traditional cabinets in white. The sink and all of the dishes looked to be what you would find in a normal apartment. The refrigerator and appliances being stainless steel of course. The screen on the refrigerator being present.

The small table with chairs consisted of a pale wood with white legs for both the table and chairs.

To the right a small cloth couch in a pale yellow sat with blankets hanging on the back. A large chair sat on each side of the couch in the color of white, facing in toward the coffee table which matched the kitchen table.

Behind the couch a tall floor to ceiling shelving unit stood with items and books scattered throughout. On the other side of the shelving a wooden desk with two chairs and a small lamp on each side for homework.

A small hallway went further into the apartment having two doors on the left and one on the right. The first door to the left opened into the bathroom that seemed to match the one from Charlotte's room in the mansion. The second door on the left opened into a laundryroom. The door to the right opened to the bedroom that held a large bed with a soft cushion headboard. A large walk in closet stood at the end of the room with a side of his clothes and a side of hers. The center of the walk in had an island that held accessories and weapons.

Above the headboard a large photo of the two of them that had been taken without them knowing, stood framed. Looking at each other while standing in the garden, the tenderness showing in their eyes.

The apartment looked to be one that a newly wed couple would share.

They both thought the same thing at the same time and looked to each other with a smile of love. No one would come between them. This they knew for certain.
