Chapter 5: Don't want to be a nuisance

I was out of my mind when I arrived at the hotel where I, Ellise and the three other girls used to meet. Kiana, Adelaine, Monica, Ellise and I met in the organization - Vixen Tribe.

Kiana, one of our colleagues in the organization is the owner of the hotel. There was a room reserved for us which she had designated for this occasion.

One of Kiana's bodyguards met me outside the hotel and guided me to the hotel's private elevator. She really like good looking bodyguards.

I raised my wayfarers to my head and examined my reflection. Ever since I came home from Japan, I can hardly look at myself. Anger and longing envelop me when I see my eyes.

I could see nothing in my eyes but her. I clenched my fist. Soon... I will hold Miguel around his neck. Just wait, and I will show you that I can keep my promise to avenge you.

The elevator opened and I headed straight to the presidential suite we always used.

When I went inside, I immediately heard their voices. Monica's worried voice was dominant.

"You're the smartest among us, but you still don't know anything about that?!"

I frowned. I knew Ellise was the one Monica was talking to because she was the smartest in the Tribe. But what thing did she not know?

"You're going to hurt Shintarra, Ellise. You know how important this revenge to her. We all promised we'd help her, but what did you do?" frustration etched on Monica's voice.

"Why? What did Ellise do?" I asked and looked at them.

I stand near the lounge door and watched them with curiousity. Monica stood near the double doors of the balcony. Ellise sat on the long sofa next to Kiana while Adelaine was busy drinking wine on the mini-bar.

I knew there was a problem because of a sudden change in plan. I thought the problem was not that big, but based on their looks I can say the problem is serious.

"Why do you all look like that?" I asked and sat on the sofa in front of Ellise.

They all averted their gaze from me. Ellise reached for a thick folder and hand it to me before speaking.

"T-Those are the financial s-statements you have been asking for. You are right in your suspicion that the Castroverde company is not doing well," Ellise said.

I nodded and turned a few pages. They did not answer my question and just proceeded to the meeting.

"What about the other companies? Are they in good shape?" I said this while looking at the documents.

The stocks go down for the past three months. Miguel was the acting president of the company since his father Rodolf met an accident four months ago.

"It's just Castroverde Empowered Motors Inc.," Kiana said.

I nodded.

"Raymond gave me an invitation for their cousin's wedding. Do you want to go, Shin?" Adelaine interrupt us.

I remembered what happened in the condo. Miguel and I are almost. . .

I shook my head. "I think there's a progress between me and Miguel. He will be surprised if he saw me there, and I don't know Raymond personally."

"I can let him meet you," said Adelaine.

"That will be the plan B if Miguel's perspective will change."

Kiana and Adelaine nodded. Monica is now busy with her red wine.

"Lhey?"

Ellise looked at me in confusion. She was sweating bullets even though the aircon was on. I looked at her hands and its slightly trembling.

I frowned. "Are you okay?"

"H-Huh? Uh... yes, I-I'm okay,"

"Your hand is shaking. Have you eaten yet?" I looked at her worriedly.

Ellise shook her head at me and avoided my gaze.

"Kiana, maybe we should have some food before this meeting continues. We still need to talk about the coffee shop and why we need Plan B."

I am the oldest, and I feel I am responsible for them all, especially now that I need their help. Since we have our own lives outside the Vixen Tribe we have decided to come and work together. When they know the reason why I want to come back here in the Philippines they become eager to help me succeed my mission.

My mission is to seduce and overthrow Miguel Castroverde. Take revenge and bring down their wealth that protects their dirty name.

I'll do anything... everything I can to bring them down.

I'm willing to give my all... even my body.

The food that Kiana ordered didn't take long. We ate quietly and then went back to what I was talking about.

"Lhey, why do we need the Plan B? Was there a problem with the Castroverdes' company?" I reopened the conversation.

"M-My resignation was not approved," Ellise answered.

My forehead furrowed. "Huh? They already sent me an email saying I could start tomorrow,"

Ellise was obviously surprised by what I said. This is what I would have told her, so I called yesterday. But because of what happened and I was led by fear and nervousness that something bad might have happened to her I immediately forgot what to say, plus Miguel is around.

Ellise was suddenly confused and seemed to be groping for something to say.

"It's better that Ellise's resignation isn't approved, Shin. You said that there's a progress between you and Miguel, so if you work for his company he might suspect you, and there's a possibly that he will catch you right away," Monica insisted.

I turned to her. She's right that I'm making progress with Miguel, but I'm not sure I'm going to get that back to the condo. To what I can remember, when he left earlier he looked grumpy, but we kissed.

"He may also give you more attention at work so you can't move properly. Let us gather the information for you," Kiana added.

I nodded. They have a point. In order to make my revenge successful I need their help. I still need to be low-key and focus on Miguel. He's the main target of my revenge.

Adelaine presented the plan for the coffee shop. She planned it well even though we weren't sure it will be needed.

"Add a room beside the office, Adi," I requested.

"Why? Are you leaving your condo?" Monica asked confused.

"Not for now, but it's better if I stay at the flower shop. I can install a cctv without asking permission to anyone."

They all nodded.

"We can also talk there for our plans and some information that have gathered. This hotel of yours is too vulgar, Kiana. If the time comes, and I've been exposed your business will be affected."

"Don't even think like that," Kiana said as she sipped the red wine in her hand.

"There is a possibility that my fears will happen, so if you all think that your personal lives has been affected by helping me, you can stop now," I decreed.

They all gasped.

"We're all in this. We will help you, Shin."

I raised my eyes to Ellise. She was clearly avoiding eye-contact when I came her, but now she can look at me straight to my eyes.

I nodded and continue the meeting.

"Is there anything else I need to know other than these documents and the coffee shop?"

"Miguel's cousin is getting married next week. It's an intimate weeding so I'm sure their whole family is there," Adelaine concluded.

I nodded. There are chances that I'll see Rodulfo Castroverde there. How long I waited to be given the opportunity to see him in person, so I had to make a way to be with Miguel at that wedding.

I can imagine Rodulfo Castroverde expression once he saw me on that wedding and with his beloved son.

I smirked. I can't wait to see you again, Rodulfo. Flaunt me your wealth again because I will make sure that your money will be useless when I take my revenge on your beloved child.

Adelaine phone rang. That steal the focus of our attention.

Adelaine smiled. "It's Raymond, he was still forcing me to accompany him to his cousin's wedding."

Adelaine turned off the call. My eyebrows rose as I watched her and I couldn't help but grin. Adelaine is beautiful. She was paler than me and she's a mixed foreign. Many agencies want to hire her as a model but she doesn't like that kind of job. Well, she's rich so she can do whatever she wants including playing with rich bachelors.

"Maybe that man fell on you, so he's forcing you to come with him," said Monica and maliciously smiled at Adi.

Adelaine shook her head and laughed hilariously.

"A man like Raymond is impossible for you to find seriousness. He just fuck and go, Monica."

"Like you? So you guys get along right?" Kiana laughed.

The four of us laughed while Ellise was busy on her cellphone.

"Do you need to go, Lhey? You can go first," I said with a smile.

She smiled awkwardly and nodded.

"Uh... I'll go first." She pointed the door.

"Sure! I'll go home later, I need to review the documents you gave since I can't bring this to my condo," I smiled at him.

"I'll sent her out," Kiana suggested.

Ellise arranged her things and immediately said goodbye to us.

The three of us silently watched them leave.

"I notice something is bothering her," I sighed. "Do you have any idea?"

Monica and Adelaine averted their gaze to me. They become quite and I felt there's something that they want to hide from me. I don't want to be a nuisance, so I won't force them to open up to me.
