Chapter XXVIII:TRAINING

Brige, together with Tomas Liade and the Madrigals, were off to the clip not too far from the house. She look below and saw how high it is and whoever dares to jump will surely be dead, not unless the water is high.

"So, what is my first training?"

"Well, we believe you already knew how to use the air elements. We just want to make sure you wouldn't forget it." Maxton started.

"What you want me to do then?"

"She this?" Maxton get a paper from his pocket and to her surprise, it was the picture of her and her mom when she was only six years old on an amusement park. The picture of her in amusement park.

"And where did you get that?" She asked.

"I am resourceful, in case you don't know. By the way, I know that this picture is the only last copy and so you treasured this the most. But, what will happen if I let drop and be carried by the wind down?"

"So this is my training? I didn't know that it includes sneaking in the house." She said mockingly.

"Well, let's see how much it is important to you." Maxton said and let go the photograph in the air going down to the bottom of the clip.

She immediately run on the edge and saw how fast it goes down. She stares at it, calling the wind to lift it up but to her surprise, she felt another kind of sensation like a strong force that is coming out from nowhere. She tries to concentrate and somehow, she managed to lift it up.

"Nice. Alright, we should proceed to the next training which is... Woah" Tomas expressed as they felt the ground shaking with the approximate intensity five. Brige, whose eager to get the picture, pick it up from the wind and saw how her accomplices shaking on their feet, but it doesn't affect her.

"Brige! Control your self and stop this quake!" Tomas said.

"I didn't do anything!" Chase manage to remove himself from the quake and went beside her.

"Just think as if you're making everything calm." He said, and so she does. Second's later, the quake was gone and all of them except Chase and her fell on the ground due to dizziness.

"I made it." She exclaimed. " What is that?"

"That's your Earth power! It's a good thing you manage to control it. So yeah, you could control the Earth now, but please don't do it again!" Aiden said while on the ground.

"Sorry."

"Omygosh Brige. How could you be this powerful?" Laide asked as she rose up, walking in different patterns.

The group waited for a moment, removing the shock in their body before going to the forest.

"You now have an idea of using your air and earth elements, and so the next thing you need to learn is the water element." Lennox stated as they were clearing the path uphill. She then realized she knows where it's heading.

In the waterfalls!

She was overwhelmed as she felt the safeness of the place. It has been a long time. As she saw the water falling from the high rocks, she instantly smiled and watch the Madrigals including Tomas excited to get down and run to the cold water like a child that has a long time before going to a summer vacation.

"They always like that." Laide said as she anticipates in where she was looking at.

"How long do you know them?"

"I know them since I already had my memories. Uhm, Lennox is actually my mate." She instantly look at her.

"What?!" She exclaimed, "Why didn't you tell me Laide? O my gosh, you have a lover already, Ericson should know this." She said, and laugh. They also went down and sit on the rock she stayed before.

"So do you." Laide said and smile genuinely at her.

"What?"

"You already found your mate. Oh, wrong. Your mate already found you."

"I still can't believe about it, actually. You know, I have never been in a relationship before, and I don't know how to treat him."

"Just treat according to what your heart says. Remember when we are still in school? The first time you encounter them, you already said something is different. I told you not to bother thinking but still you did, and you actually cared for him, am I right? That's because you already felt the bond. You cannot escape it."

"Is that to mean I won't experience being a broken-hearted?" She asked excitedly, but Laide didn't seem to understand the joke.

"We can still be a sober Brige. And is when our mates died, or we intentionally cut the bond between our mates."

"Why are we going to cut the bond between mates? And how is it happening?"

"Some mates usually, really, felt in love but sometimes, circumstances didn't really want them to be together. You know, the Legend.

"What Legend?"

"The five legendary Alphas, where you and the others got the bloodline and power. Since they are not good into each other, mates on the other pack is cannot be. You need to cut the bond. For the sake of your pack and your love. That's really cruel, but we can do nothing about it."

"How about me and Chase?"

"Nah. Your father is the Alpha of Burgeons. And whether your mate is in Manchada or Burgeon, I think it is just fine."

"I hope so."

"Hey! You are going to train Brige, your not in a vacation!" Laide shouted to the men.

"Just go here, you're so hot!" Lennox shouted, and so he was being tease by the others.

"That boy."

"Brige! Chase said you can also come over her because he also thought you're hot!" Aiden said, and Chase was fuming.

"I didn't say that!"

"Just admit it bro, it's your mate!" Maxton tease and made her felt heat in her face.

"Just don't mind them. So, are you ready now?"

"Where to do what?"

"Duh? Your practice. What important here is that you will have an idea in what sensation you will feel according to what element you want to control. Do you still remember how it felt?"

"Yeah. Air is just easy one and Earth is heavy. How about water?"

"It will just a little easier than Earth. Come on, you first need to do a meditation."

"Alright." She positioned herself in proper, copying what Laide was doing.

"That's right. Next is you need to let go all your thoughts and just focus on the sounds of flowing water alright?"

"Yeah."

"Alright, close your eyes."

She followed Laide's instruction and sigh before closing her eyes. She then began to felt something in her chest, like a spark that is scattered only in that part, and made her body to shiver.

"You're shivering. That's because the water is cold. You're doing good Brige. Just keep what you are doing."Laide said, and she oblige, not want to take the process long.

She keeps her eyes close and tried to rise up the sensation. It is a little heavy but unlike the Earth element, it's much easier to control. She then slowly raised her hand like pulling something, and she knows she's doing it right because she heard a splashing of water escaping from the flow. She open her eyes and there she saw a water rising above, following the command of its hand. She nearly lost control, but she managed to balance it.

"Woah, that is awesome." Aiden says behind her.

"Brige is a fast learner." Tomas added.

And so as she felt her arms getting numb, she quickly put it down, splashing the water on them, and so they laugh.

"Come on! Let's swim." Lennox said and carry Laide in bridal style going to the waterfall. She then followed and slowly climbing down when Chase block her by standing there while his back is to her.

"Come on, I'll carry you."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes." She can't deny that her heart is pounding fast as she touched his bare skin, carrying her in piggyback style. She was hugging him, and he was holding her thighs like her weight has no impact on him.

"I wish my Selena is here." Maxton said.

Probably his mate, she thought.

'Yes. It's his mate'

She was shocked as she heard Chase just answered through her mind.

Telepathy.

'It's been a long time since you talk to me this way'

'Because I did not want to scare you. But now you know, so I guess it's now safe'

Chase put her down and the cold water sip through her skin, but unlike the usual cold water, the water in the falls is very relaxing. She didn't know if it's just because the water is really different if she just can't the beaming as Chase was supporting her back. The falls are deep. And so they enjoy diving and swimming together. The boys perform different stunts while her and Laide just watch and laugh to their epic stunt.

She is in danger. She can't deny it. However, the fact she's with them, she knows she is better that safe.
