Chapter 7 Chapter 7

Chapter 7 Chapter 7
LUCIAN

This little girl tested me more than anyone else in the world.

Honestly speaking I was only keeping my cool because I didn't want anyone to suspect that we had a thing going on between the both of us but she kept pushing my buttons.

The only thing I wanted to hear right now was the fact that she had finally surrendered.

But that had to be done in such a way that nobody would figure it out or else it was going to be the top of the town and I hated such scenarios.

"You are going to do whatever I say..."

"And what if I told my mom what you did?" She fired back.

"You wouldn't dare. Say whatever you like but you are not a person to expose yourself like that so I'm going to bank on that and make the best use of it. If you're ready, you can head on with it." I called her bluff hoping that she didn't go on with it.

I had many things on my mind that I wanted to deal with but most importantly I just didn't want to start thinking about the worst things that could happen if her mother found out that we were having an affair behind her back.

She was probably going to fall into some high blood pressure shit and I would not want to be responsible for a person's health mishap.

The only thing that I was about to do right now was to focus my attention on what meant the most to me, that was getting to know what exactly was wrong with us.

It took a lot of time before the both of us will ever be able to come to a conclusion and I needed everything to be done decently and in order.

"Take a lot of time and as much as you want but please do not do anything that I wouldn't appreciate. I wouldn't also want you to get into trouble for things that could have been easily handled. Do I have your commitment to that?" I asked her.

She had a way of getting under my skin without even doing too much and that was enough for me right now.

When her mother came back I didn't know how I was going to face her after doing something that I didn't think she would be proud of.

"We shouldn't have to discuss this in the presence of my mom. We shouldn't ever have to discuss this. I'm going to be as civil as possible to you and I hope that you would also do the same?"

I looked her in the eye and nodded.

Not many people had the abilities to make a concrete bargain like she did and I admired it about her.

If only I had waited for some time maybe I would have met her before her mom but what were the guarantees that I would have ever met her?

I have searched and combed through all the packs that I knew and even made sure that I made friends with a lot of people that did not go according to the way I wanted and at the end of the day it ended up being stupid.

The only thing that I was doing right now was to make sure that I didn't continue in that angle.

My head was spinning in anger but I refused to allow myself to be dismayed.

She walked away but my eyes couldn't help but keep remaining on her.

My wolf had also decided to make his presence known to everyone. I'm quite honestly I just didn't understand why he was making a huge deal out of this.

Not everybody had the same opportunity that I did, but as long as I was concerned I wasn't going to take her mother for granted.

The only thing that I wanted to do right now was to make sure that I remained right on track and I didn't even go as far as making sure that there were going to be any problems attached to our lifestyle.

I picked up my phone and called some of my friends who I had seen for a long time.

Sometimes the only thing that you needed was to have a strong drink that would knock back your senses and make you do things that you shouldn't do on a normal day.

My friendship circle was as wide as the Pinnacle of the Bermuda triangle.

"What are your plans towards mining at the top of the tower? Do you think that it's going to work or don't you think that it's going to pull you down even further?"

I had no choice but to ask that question because that was exactly how I felt concerning their plans.

It wasn't every time that most of these things were useful.

"So I was thinking about a few things and I came up with an idea. It's not going to be easy but I'm sure it will be worth it." Martin responded begrudgingly.

"Take everything that you can get and make sure that nobody leaves without paying you accordingly. I don't care how much they have already wasted but I'm sure that they will not hesitate to drop it back. As long as I'm concerned that you need to worry about the returns." I ended the argument.

They had been trying to break into the European market, yet doing things the archaic way and expecting that there would be a rapid change.

I didn't know how that was ever thought to be possible but whatever the case might be I was here to make sure that they saw their flaws.

"Take it or leave it but there's going to be a little bit of change before anybody can finally accept anything that you've brought. We've got to stop those slave merchants from reaching the border before we do." Bryan piped up.

"Take them out. I'm tired of hearing their names."
