Chapter 6.
I looked around the whole box, why hadn't I realized they were so disgusting before.
My previous ingratiation was just jumping through hoops to them, I guess.
"Whatever relationship you have with Victoria has nothing to do with me, we've broken up, so don't ever come to me again."
After leaving those words, I turned around and walked away without half a second's hesitation.
When I got home, I removed so all traces of him in my life.
Clean and dry, now an independent Diane.
This time, it's serious, I will invite him out of my life completely.
Love brain and all that, it doesn't exist, it won't happen again.
After clearing Oliver out of my life, I focused on my work.
I was working as a planner in an advertising agency, and the entertainment industry was already so heavy with work that the list piled up one by one.
The days are so busy that it takes me out of my mind and leaves me with no free time to think about things.
The intern was surprised to see me working my butt off every day and leaving the office at the end of the day, "Diane, what kind of a hard worker are you? Why didn't I see you working so hard when I first started here?"
"Sis is planning to be a career woman, work and all that is most important."
I stretched and realized that the intern and I were the only ones left in the office.
A quick look at my cell phone and it's eleven-thirty.
Outside, it was already dark and out of reach.
"Yikes, is it that dark?" I said in amazement.
I used to run faster than anyone, but I can't believe I'm later than anyone today.
The intern gave me a thumbs up : "Diane, I'm going to learn from you and make the switch sooner rather than later!"
"Nope, you're a werewolf now that you don't even know when it's early or late and you've lost track of time!"
I reached over and gave him a fist bump, "Don't think I didn't hear you flirting with me."
The intern raised an eyebrow: "It's so late, I don't feel comfortable which girl goes back, I'll take you back."
"I'll just walk back on my own, your house and I are both going in different directions, so I won't bother you."
"No, I'm not going to feel comfortable with sending you back anyway."
"Good good good."
Unable to shrug it off, I walked back with him.
When we got to the entrance of the neighborhood, I said goodbye to the intern with a big smile on my face and told him to go back and be safe.
Turning around only to meet the eyes of Oliver, who was staring straight at the place from a short distance away.
His brow furrowed in displeasure.
The blazing gaze was noticed even by the intern, "Diane, do you need my help?"
I shook my head: "You should go back, it's already late in the day."
Once the interns were gone, I walked calmly toward the neighborhood.
Oliver couldn't hold back his emotions and came towards me, his eyes tinted with a thin layer of sulkiness, "Who is that man?"
I ignored it and tried to step right over him.
Instead, he angrily tugged on my arm and angrily said, "Diane, who was that man just now?"
"None of your business, let go of me" I tried to shake his hand off but he had a death grip on me and it hurt so much I wept.
"You let go! We're broken up, Oliver!"
