"Really? Let me see." I said, and Gordon gave me the metal slip. I peered at the engraved numbers and tilted my head to the side. "Are you sure they're coordinates?"

"Definitely. But I'm not sure to where it leads. I know Jerald went on a secret journey for a few weeks before they died. Willow was supposed to go with him, but her pregnancy was complicated, so she couldn't," he mused, stroking his jaw. "When he came back, he gave me the necklace and told me to protect it because he and Willow would be going away for a while after she gave birth. But..."

"They were murdered." I frowned as I returned it to him. "I... I honestly don't know what to think. This wasn't what I was expecting when you said the locket has the evidence, but then again, what else could fit into such a tiny space?"

"I'm not surprised they had to hide the evidence in a secret location. Paul and Victor were breathing down their necks and watching all their moves. They didn't have much money or influence to fight against him and protect themselves like I have. It makes sense that they would go to extreme lengths to keep what they had against him. Especially since they knew he was planning on murdering them." He replied as he pulled out his wallet and placed the slip inside. "Anyway, we don't have to guess. Once I hand this over to the FBI, we'll find out the truth."

"Are you going now?" I mumbled, holding back my frown as he tucked his wallet into his pocket.

He should. Getting the coordinates to the FBI was really, really important so he couldn't stall, but it wasn't something he could do in five seconds.

I… I didn't want him to go. Yes, I was selfish, but we hadn't spent even up to twenty minutes alone since we reunited.

I wanted to remain in his arms for a little while longer before he rushed off to settle whatever, wherever.

"No. The coordinates have been missing for more than two decades already; another few hours won't hurt anyone. But if I don't get my fill of you now, I'm going to run mad," he pouted, hugging me tighter, and he kissed my shoulder.

"It’s like you read my mind," I giggled, slipping off his lap and cuddling against his side. "I heard Paul has been arrested."

"The press is really quick in carrying gossip," he snorted, rolling his eyes as he took one of my macarons and fed it to me. "But yes, he was arrested the moment we returned. Thomas was quick to spill everything, and I mean everything that Paul has done, so they had more than enough evidence to warrant his arrest. And Henson has been caught too."

"Really?! So soon?!" I gasped, almost choking in the pastry. "I thought it would take weeks or months before they could hunt him down."

"It was easy because he was sloppy. He didn't expect any of us to survive, so he didn't bother covering his tracks well. He's been arrested, and if he confesses to working with Paul or they find just a little evidence that he paid him to sabotage the mission, things would turn even more ugly for him. With the already long charges of trafficking and murder against him, adding that he tried to murder a full squad of the FBI to protect his secret and destroy the evidence will be the final nail in the coffin. I don't see how he's going to wiggle his way out of this."

"Good, he deserves everything that is happening and more. He'll pay for his evil." I huffed and placed my hand on Gordon's chest. "How long do you think the court case is going to run?"

"I'm not sure, probably a year or two. Perhaps more." He shrugged.

"Wow, so long."

"It's expected based on the type of the case, but don't worry, you'll get Midas' Touch much sooner."

"That's good. I guess I now have to think about how to resurrect a bankrupt company," I mumbled.

"That's why you have me," he grinned, and he fed me another macaron. "I'll work with you every step of the way. Midas' Touch is going to be the biggest jewellery brand in the country and then the world."

"W-what..." I swallowed and tilted my head to the side. "What about Glamour Amore?"

"I'm planning on shutting it down.

"What?!" I gasped, sitting up straight. "You can't."

"Why not? I only opened it to compete with Midas' Touch so I could force Victor to sell it to me, but since it will soon be transferred to the rightful owner, there's no point keeping it open. I don't want to split my energy creating two competing brands."

"B-but you spent your time and energy in starting it up. You can't shut it down."

"I don’t really care, my passion is clothes. But if you're worried about it, you can also take over it too," he smirked.

"Eh?! I don't understand how that will work. I can't head two companies at the same time. I'm worried I won't even be able to manage Midas' Touch." I frowned.

"You could simply absorb Glamour Amore into Midas' Touch. It will make it easier for it to get back on its feet since Amore is a functioning system. You own the first set of designs that launched the company into stardom, so it's only normal for you to continue, albeit under a completely new name."

"You'd really do that for me?" I whispered, tears filling my eyes, and he kissed my forehead.

"Of course, darling. I'll pull down the stars if you desire me to." He smiled and grabbed a macaron, slipping it between my lips. "Now eat; a CEO needs their energy."

"You're ready to leave," I said, standing at the door of Blair's hospital room as she arranged her stuff into her bag.

"Yes, and finally. I'm completely sick of this place. I'm going to need a month's vacation at a luxury resort to detoxify me of the last few weeks," she huffed without turning to acknowledge me.

"Don't... um... don't you want to see um... Jill at least once before you go?" I asked.

"Who's that?"

"Your um... um..." I trailed off.

Was it right to call her her daughter?

"Oh, the devil spawn."

"Don't call her that?" I snapped, narrowing my eyes at her.

"You know how I feel about her, yet you brought her up. Why should I see her? I've already signed the papers after all. She's now legally your property, and I'm not allowed to interfere with her life." She replied as she zipped her bag.

"I don't think visiting her in the NICU is interfering. Are you sure you just want to leave without ever seeing the child you birthed—"

"Save it." She hissed and stormed towards me, jabbing her finger into my chest. "That child is dead to me, just like you, so don't meddle in my affairs. And you can drop your damn good sister act now. Let’s stop pretending that we’re siblings."
