Chapter 88
Jessa supported Levi. Seeing how drowsy he looked, the medication had probably started taking effect. The fact that he could still walk meant the dose wasn't too strong.
I didn't know what drug he'd been given, but he seemed to have some muscle weakness.
"Faye, you're wearing flats, you can run fast. Cover your face well and run to find the valet. Tell him Levi's car needs to be moved, and have the valet ask your brother for the keys."
I came up with this plan to buy us some time.
"Okay, you keep an eye on them. Whatever you do, don't let my brother fall into her hands. Not only might she take advantage of him, but I'm also afraid she'll cause even more trouble."
Faye was young, but she knew quite a bit.
Once Levi was taken away, if Jessa managed to seduce him into bed and if they ended up having a child, then Jessa would have the strongest bargaining chip.
She knew Levi valued children and would definitely give her an explanation.
I saw a server walking over. "Excuse me, sir, your car is parked improperly and is blocking other customers. Could you please move it?"
"He's had too much to drink."
Jessa waved her hand. "Here are the car keys. Why don't you move it?"
Seeing the car keys, the server quickly refused. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I just started here, I'm still on probation. I don't have my license yet, and I'm not very good at driving."
"No license is fine, there are no traffic cops here anyway. You're just moving it a short distance." Jessa was getting anxious.
"I'm really sorry, I can't help you with that. How about I help you support this gentleman, and you can go move the car?"
Jessa wanted to get Levi out of there quickly, so she took the car keys from Levi's pocket and went to move the car.
She had a guilty conscience, so she didn't notice anything suspicious. The server had come up saying Levi's parking was improper - how would he know that was Levi's car?
Faye had done well with this, not letting Jessa spot any flaws.
Once Jessa disappeared from my sight, I walked over to Levi and supported him.
"I'll take over. He's my husband. That woman was just our friend. I'll help him out now." I took Levi down the stairs to leave.
He was incredibly heavy; I could barely hold him up.
I had to rest after each step. I was so annoyed that I punched his arm twice. "Can't you walk a little yourself? You're crushing me."
Levi's eyes were unfocused. I didn't know what drug Jessa had given him that made him seem so out of it.
"Fine, I'll walk, I'll walk."
He was getting impatient. If I weren't worried about Jessa getting to him, I wouldn't even want to deal with him.
Faye and I had agreed that she would bring my car around. I wasn't sure if she could manage it - she really didn't have a license.
But she'd been abroad and learned to drive when she was very young. Her house was big, and she'd driven around there many times. She said her driving skills were top-notch, though I wasn't sure if she was exaggerating.
After I scolded him, Levi actually didn't need as much effort from me. I wrapped my scarf around his head - I didn't want Jessa to spot him.
I took his hand and walked to the emergency exit.
Faye waved at me and mouthed quietly, "Blair, she's already gone upstairs."
I understood her lip reading, grabbed Levi, and headed out, but then his legs went weak again, and he stopped walking properly.
"Listen, if you walk nicely, I'll give you candy, okay?"
I was shocked at my own words. This was what I used to say to encourage Celestia when she was learning to walk as a child. It just slipped out.
"Are you serious?"
Levi smiled mischievously. Was he normal again?
"Yes, yes, now let's go."
I dragged him quickly outside. When we got near the door, Faye ran over to help. The two of us struggled to get him into the car.
It felt like we were the ones "kidnapping" Levi.
"Faye, there are tissues in the back. Don't let him throw up in my car."
"Okay, but Jessa still has my brother's car keys. What should we do about that?"
I smiled. "That's actually perfect. She'll definitely bring your brother the keys. I'd like to hear how she explains this."
Faye gave me a thumbs-up. "Brilliant, just brilliant."
I dropped Faye off at the Morgan mansion first. Celestia hadn't gone to sleep yet. Hearing I was coming, she'd been waiting in the yard.
Considering Levi's current condition, I decided to pick them up another day.
Celestia said several times she wanted to come home, but I pretended not to hear. Actually, I really wanted to bring the child home, too. It had been so long since I'd spent quality time with her.
On the way home, tears kept falling from my eyes. I missed Celestia, and I was angry at Levi for going to meet Jessa.
If Faye hadn't told me, who knows what might have happened tonight?
"Thirsty, give me water."
Levi kept whimpering in the back seat. I couldn't give him water while driving, so I told him to wait until we got home.
When we got to the house, I called Indigo to help me get Levi inside. I really couldn't manage on my own.
Indigo didn't ask many questions. She just mentioned that Levi felt very hot.
Together, we got Levi onto the bed, and Indigo quietly closed the door.
"Can you shower by yourself?"
I could see Levi hadn't drunk much alcohol. His face was flushed, his eyes unfocused, and he was smiling at me.
"No."
I frowned. "Well, I can't help you with that."
Even though we were legally married, I'd never seen him shower or anything like that.
I'd just put up with it tonight. My freshly changed sheets were going to suffer.
I got a hot towel and gently wiped his face. Just as I got to his neck, he suddenly grabbed my hand.
Before I could react, he pulled me down onto the bed. He rolled over and pinned me beneath him.
"Don't try anything. You're confused right now. Don't think you can take advantage of me." I put my hands up in front of me, pressing against his chest.
Levi came down hard and kissed me.
I pushed against him with all my strength, but it was useless.
His body was burning hot, instantly heating me up too.
My mind went blank, completely lost in his kiss.
When his hand started moving along my back, I suddenly snapped back to reality. I bit his lip, and he pulled away in pain.
"Levi, do you know who I am? Get up."
The corner of his mouth curved up. "I'm very clear-headed."
"What..."
He leaned down and kissed me again. I struggled a few times, but he had me completely pinned down. I couldn't move.
He said he was clear-headed, but I was the one getting lost...
I let him do as he pleased. I had no strength left to resist. His eyes were red, and he couldn't stop.
Only then did I realize that Jessa must have given him that kind of drug.
"Do you like it?"
Levi lifted his head, his beautiful smile making my brain short-circuit again...
His burning breath spread across my neck, a tingling sensation spreading through my whole body...
