Chapter 37

William looked worriedly at Federica's body, lying weakly in the treatment room at Aaron's house. Not only that girl, Ethan and Liam are not much different. The two teenagers were still unconscious; Ethan looked even worse even though the wolfsbane poison in his body had been drained. His blackened skin did not subside even though he had been given an antidote. However, at least Gessy was lucky even though she first kept babbling because Ethan made her faint in the forest. Even so, William never stopped thanking Gessy, who managed to summon reinforcements before Blake killed Federica.

"Will Blake become the Grim Ripper after he succeeds in sucking half-blood, Uncle Aaron?" asked Gessy, who was sitting on the right side of William, who looked gloomy. Aaron, who was examining Liam's body, turned to look at Gessy.

"I don't know, G. It should be...."

"Is the world going to end?" said the girl.

Before Aaron spoke again, Federica opened her eyes slowly. She groaned while holding her neck, which still felt sore. William smiled, thanking God that his daughter was still alive. Federica turned to look at William and Gessy and then at Aaron, who was standing behind the ferret girl.

"Liam?"

That was the first word the girl said. It is still clearly recorded how Liam was helpless in fighting against the crazy Blake. Then Blake bit her neck and sucked her blood hard until she went limp. As she always said, she didn't know if Blake had succeeded in destroying the world.

"He's not conscious yet, just like Ethan," said Aaron. "Now you have to rest."

"Blake?"

Aaron took a moment to breathe. "Laura took him in and probably finished off by Liam's father, Allan."

Furrowing her brows deeply, Federica looked at the ceiling while guessing what Allan had done to Blake.

"Don't worry, Fed. At least we've drained Blake's blood and replaced it with vervain. He's dying at Liam's house."

Federica smiled faintly. "I hope so."

The body, which previously remained black, changed back to its original condition, still tied up. Unfortunately, the vervain fluid continued to flow even though his heart was no longer pumping because it had been forcefully removed repeatedly. Suddenly, there was the sound of footsteps of someone wearing a black hood with both hands covered in blood. She chuckled, knocking out dozens of servants with a single attack. Even this big house was left alone without tight security. She shook her head; hundreds or even thousands of vampire-enslaved people would not be able to stop her from breaking into the house.

She peeked through the door hole, smiled crookedly, and forced open the steel door that confined Blake. Then, she forcibly removed the IV tube containing vervain and the tube that drained the Grim Ripper's blood. Then she bit his wrist and directed the seeping blood into Blake's blue mouth.

"Come on, Blake, I know you're alive," she hissed.

There was no response for several minutes until the person pulled Blake's hair and squeezed the blood into Blake's throat. Slowly but surely, the black body began to change color; Blake's thin lips moved as if looking for a source of food.

"Good, suck my blood," the girl whispered. Blake's eyes were wide open, with her irises glowing reddish again.

The man was like crazy when he drank blood. The girl whistled for her servants. Five vampires came and offered their necks for Blake to drain. The pure vampire bit his neck and tore the carotid artery, causing blood to flow down his face. The chains that handcuffed him fell off when he regained his strength.

"Welcome back," said Cassandra, making Blake look up with a sharp grin.

Federica is healthier than before, and her wounds don't have scars like before. Liam has also regained consciousness after receiving a donation of werewolf blood to neutralize vervain. Apart from that, he drained the blood of several people dry to get them back into shape after being unconscious. However, Ethan still hasn't recovered, and Aaron is even starting to worry that the wolfsbane poison has damaged Ethan's internal organs even though he was given vervain.

Federica felt guilty whenever she looked at Ethan's face, still lying weakly, with his skin gray. She took his friend's hand and kissed it lovingly. Federica's tears fell; she didn't want Ethan to die just like that. Her heart would be broken if her friend left her.

"Ethan, you said that you like me. Please hold on, Ethan, for me," whispered Federica.

There was no answer; Ethan was still silent. Standing at the end of the door, Liam was so sad to see Federica tormented by what happened to her. It doesn't have to be like this, Fed. Federica turned to find Liam looking at her with an anxious face. Liam approached hesitantly, but he wanted to embrace the girl. Liam stood before Federica, reaching out one hand to stroke her slightly messy red hair. The girl hugged Liam's stomach and shed her tears while blaming herself.

"Ethan will be safe; we must wait, Fed."

"How long? It's been almost a week."

Liam was silent, thinking about another way. He had a crazy idea: if the vervain didn't work, Liam thought that vampire blood could be the antidote. However, he was not sure. Werewolf and vampire blood cannot mix and can even cause one to die. But if you don't try, what's the harm? Or should I ask Dad? Liam cupped Federica's face with both hands.

"I'll go home for a moment; I think I have an idea to cure Ethan."

"Is it true?" Liam nodded firmly, then left the girl's figure.

"Liam," called Federica when Liam was at the end of the door.

He turned his head. Federica jogged over to the red-eyed man, her feet tiptoeing to kiss Liam's red lips. Liam didn't answer; he walked away because his mind suddenly went blank due to the short kiss.

His heart was out of control; he even felt like he wanted to blow himself up just because of Federica's little treatment of him. Liam smiled with flushed cheeks. Now he knew that his and Federica's feelings were still the same. They are still in love.

I hope it's like this forever, Fed.
