Chapter 36

The wind blew harder and harder, shaking the girl's ginger-red hair. She looked at Blake with anger boiling to the top of her head. Her hands were clenched into fists, her jaw clenched hard, her emotions roaring like waves hitting the rocks. The image of Ethan lying down due to wolfsbane and Liam's body being helpless due to vervain made Federica lose her mind again.

She attacked Blake, trying to claw at the man's pale body. Blake deftly dodged and punched Federica in the face until the girl fell. Not wanting to be outdone, Federica immediately got up and threw a tree trunk that was quite large for a teenager her age. But again, Blake managed to dodge; the man seemed to know Federica's movements accurately.

Blake ran at high speed, his right foot tripping Federica's leg. The thin body toppled over. Her sharp nose was bleeding, and her forehead was scratched by gravel. Federica whimpered, but Blake grabbed her hair until she felt like the roots of her hair were being forcefully pulled out.

Blake's position won; his right hand grabbed her hair, and his left hand held Federica's wrist tightly from behind. The girl looked up at the sky, which was not on her side. Blake's breath was already at the tip of her carotid; the man breathed on Federica's neck, wanting to feel the intoxicating pulse of blood.

Half-blood.

The blood he had been looking for. The blood he had longed for to revive his father. Blake laughed, his victory in sight. Didn't expect that this day would come, even before the blood moon appeared.

Blake's sharp fangs prepared to suck out Federica's blood before taking it for his father. Federica tried to struggle to get away, but she cried. This is not what she wanted. She didn't want to make many clan members die because of her.

Federica screamed as Blake's fangs began to penetrate her veins. Heat spread as the vampire sipped her blood. Federica's body felt like it was being cut into pieces, but this actually made Blake very excited. The fear that gripped the girl actually became an incomparable endorphin. Blake was happy. Federica's screams were like beautiful music to the ears.

Suddenly, an arrow rained down on Blake's back, followed by a large muzzle pulling him. Blake bounced far away, and Federica collapsed to the ground.

"Fed!" shouted Gessy, who was on top of the black wolf's body.

Federica smiled, looking at the face of the wolf, which she knew was Aaron's. Then she looked around; a giant wolf with various colors of beautiful fur looked at her with pity.

Then, a girl jumped off one of the wolves' backs. She carried a bow behind her back. Her jet-black hair and bright red irises stared at Federica.

Without so many words, she ran towards Blake, who was about to get up. Quick as a flash, she broke the man's neck and injected quite a lot of vervain. Blake's body collapsed, and the girl looked at Aaron while nodding.

"You take him, Laura," asked Aaron. "I'll take your brother and Ethan for treatment."

Gessy got off Aaron's back and approached Federica with the bite wound on her neck still gaping.

"Blake is crazy!" Gessy stared in horror at Federica's neck.

Federica's vision became increasingly blurry as she looked at the sky. For a moment, the images and voices of her clan roared in her head. What she saw was not Gessy but her mother's face looking at her with worry.

"We'll be with you, Stella."

Then, the girl's vision went dark. Lonely. Her body seemed to be floating above the clouds. She didn't know whether, after this, the Grim Ripper would rise or if she would die before getting her revenge.

Vaguely, those two eyes as sharp as an eagle opened with a breath that was so short in the small, damp room. There was only one light in the middle of the room, which was starting to dim. His hands and feet were tied with ropes with wire, and his body was given a liquid mixed with vervain. The torn wounds caused by the cuts and the blood seeping out made it even more like the man was dying.

His head was so dizzy that he couldn't see clearly, so he had to shake his head vigorously several times. In front of him, a man dressed all in black sat proudly, raising one leg over the other. His straight black hair and thin beard adorned his face.

A crooked smile appeared on Blake's face; he spat until it hit the tip of the black shoe of the person in front of him. In the next second, Blake's neck was gripped so tightly that his bones felt like they were going to break.

"It's been a long time since I punished you like this, my nephew." a baritone voice dominates the small room.

Blake looked up; now, the face in front of him was very clear. The face he hated so much was the beginning of a coward who could only escape from the Di clan when his father died. Blake's breath was ragged, his brain fighting with his chest cavity for air. However, looking at his uncle's face kept him sane; he had to live to kill his uncle.

"I can't wait to cut off your head, Allan!" threatened Blake hoarsely.

A heavy blow landed on his jaw, not once but many times. The man called Allan seemed to make Blake something worthy of being beaten.

Blood came out of his nose and the corners of the man's lips. He was sure his nose was broken, but Blake was already numb. He couldn't fight even though his mind wanted to rip out his uncle's heart forcefully.

"Where did you hide your father's body?" Allan asked with emphasis.

Tch! Blake spat again right onto his uncle's black jacket.

"You think I'll tell you? Don't expect it!"

Blake received another blow, and then Allan's hand penetrated his nephew's chest cavity and squeezed his heart. Blake screamed, ear-splitting. His body struggled until the wire ties around his wrists and ankles tore his skin even more.

"You can't kill me even if you destroy my heart, Allan!" Blake growled, forcing Allan to remove the heart.

Blake screamed again, and her body suddenly turned black. His red eyes widened as if challenging Allan.

Very casually, Allan put the heart in the trash and then burned it with a lighter. The fiery flames scorched the lump of flesh.

Allan left the room after tightly locking the steel door, leaving a small square-shaped hole. The man is racing against time; he must find his brother's body before Blake's sister thwarts his plan.

But where do I look? The body that had become ashes was hidden as neatly as a needle in a haystack.
