Chapter Four: Nice Treat from the Stranger.
Jane’s POV
Then I led our way out as I was preparing to say good bye to Nicholas and take my way home Nicholas acted first and opened a special car door saying “he will drop you home.” the truth is Nicholas’ treat stole my mind at the moment and I returned to my sense when Nicholas said commanding the driver “drive safely.”
I was stunned but managed to enter the car by myself and the door followed as the machine rolled off all my mind was full of surprises of the dump silent man “Nicholas’” for the good treat I never believed Nicholas had ordered for a special car to drop me home, I never believed Nicholas touched my arm stopped from paying and he paid for dinner but my heart was convinced Nicholas was no longer a stranger to me. Hei! I jested as I relaxed my head just lost in admirations with a grinning face little could I even realize that the driver may have been stealing a glance on my face through the driving mirror until he asked “young lady are you in love?” then I hurried to reply, no sir just as the criminal suspect rushing to deny the truth.
The driver smiled and continued to speak saying “young lady love is a beautiful thing once the one you love is the right person. I wanted to pretend off the topic but I had to ask the driver the question that has always been on my mind, “How do you know that the person you love is the right one?”
The driver answered me and he said, “ love is patient” then he continued to speak saying you very well know that no one is perfect but if a person who truly loves you he will always protect you, defend you , advise you, share with you above all he will tolerate and endure you weaknesses and the driver concluded his speech reminding of the common love rule which states “ fall in love with the person who loves you but not the person you love, then learn to love him/her back along the way and that way you will find the meaning in love.”
He braked and I got out as I thanked him for being a good person then he took the credit on to himself saying “am just like that” we both laughed as I waved back. Honestly with the driver’s words I was confused the more when I realized I may have fall for a man who may not be interested in me so I conceived by thoughts saying only Gods knows if his met to be mine we shall surely be. This was because in believed in destiny or fate.
I relaxed my head on the pillow and held my phone in my hands going to call Nicholas and let him know I had reached safely as a sign of respect and discipline is when I realized I never had his phone number but the unknown number come through and I pick it up when a low tone a familiar voice came through he was Nicholas calling and he immediately introduced himself first am sure he knew I never had his phone number then he spoke up have you reached safe am calling to be sure.
I delayed the reply because my brain was at making the math in the situation but he never huge up until I replied “yes I reached safe” and said goodnight to him.
