Chapter 534

Chapter 534

This Alicia was clearly completely different from the Alicia in front of Arabella.

But neither the butler nor the secretary who entered showed any sign of discomfort. Obviously, this was what Alicia was normally like.

"What is it?" Looking at the secretary who walked to her side, Alicia just glanced at him.

"About that Lumaria woman named Dana you asked me to investigate before, I've found her." The secretary's voice was also calm - birds of a feather flock together, probably.

Alicia frowned with a confused look on her face, as if she couldn't remember who this Dana the secretary mentioned was.

Didn't she remember that Dana was that Nolan's maid?

Seeing her frown, the secretary immediately clarified, "This Dana is the person Mr. Russell previously asked us to help investigate. She was originally an employee at his company."

Hearing this explanation, Alicia immediately nodded in understanding.

This woman, she remembered now.

She seemed to have insulted Alice and even said some weird things.

James was busy going to Novaria at the time and couldn't deal with this woman, so he asked her to handle it.

Following the principle of better safe than sorry, Alicia still had this woman locked in a small room in the manor.

"Go on." She waved her hand, signaling the secretary to continue.

"This woman's original name is Gloria White. She once had a romantic relationship with Mr. James Russell's older brother, Mr. Henry Russell. But after Mr. Henry Russell passed away, she started acting as if she were Mr. James Russell's fiancée, and Mr. James Russell never clarified this."

"Ms. White went abroad for five years, living in Novaria the whole time. She returned two years ago and had a serious argument with Mrs. Alice Russell. She even joined forces with a young lady from the Davis family to verbally humiliate Mrs. Alice Russell."

At this point, Alicia's brow furrowed tightly.

She had never learned about James's or Alice's romantic history, and hearing about it now just made her feel annoyed.

"Alright, get to the point." Alicia raised an eyebrow and took a deep breath.

The secretary nodded. "Anyway, this Ms. White has a grudge against Mrs. Alice Russell, and Mr. James Russell once took revenge on her. As for Mr. Henry Russell, I found that this Ms. White frequently contacted a Novaria research institute during the year Mr. Henry Russell died."

Finally hearing the key point, Alicia's eyes sharpened as she immediately looked at him. "Which research institute?"

"It's called Kodiax Research Labs. They specialize in biological virus research." The secretary confirmed the information after speaking.

Hearing this, Alicia closed her eyes. "Alright, send a copy of this to James right away."

The secretary nodded. "Any other instructions?"

"Have the people sent to Novaria landed yet?" Alicia opened her eyes and took a deep breath.

"They landed ten minutes ago. I heard Mr. Russell and Mr. Nelson have also come ashore and are currently undergoing physical examinations at a local hospital."

Hearing this, Alicia nodded and waved her hand. "Alright, you can go."

Amber District.

Alice had a good sleep today.

Probably because Arabella had finally accepted her identity, she felt much more relaxed both physically and mentally. This nap went straight from noon to evening.

"Mrs. Russell, Mrs. Russell?"

Dana gently pushed the sleeping Alice.

Alice woke up groggily, met Dana's eyes, turned over, and was about to go back to sleep.

"Mrs. Russell, you've slept too long. You should get up and eat something." But Dana ignored her closing eyes and pulled her up.

Alice frowned. "Didn't they say pregnant women should sleep more?"

Hearing her complaint, Dana couldn't help but laugh. "Even if you should sleep more, you can't sleep all day, right?"

That made sense. Alice didn't know how to argue back and could only let Dana help her put on clothes.

When she came downstairs, Arabella was just coming in.

"Grandma." Seeing Arabella enter, Alice smiled and greeted her right away.

"Just woke up?" Looking at Alice, Arabella guessed her current state.

Alice pressed her lips together and nodded.

"Sleeping more is good. I heard there's a circus performance nearby tonight. How about we walk over to see it after dinner?" Arabella nodded and suggested.

Alice blinked. When she was little, she had seen a circus at a charity performance at the orphanage. Those acrobatics and animal shows were one of the few sources of joy back then.

So after Arabella finished speaking, Alice immediately nodded. "Sure!"

Seeing Alice was interested, Arabella immediately nodded and turned to tell Lucy to prepare for the after-dinner walk.

But Dana, hearing this, interrupted while everyone was happy. "The circus performance location is quite far from here. It might be better to drive."

She was looking out for Alice's physical condition.

"It's not that bad." But Alice waved her hand in refusal.

Although she was pregnant, she wasn't at the point where she couldn't walk.

But Dana insisted, even her voice filled with helplessness. "Circus performances are usually held in remote, open areas. From here, it would take at least two hours to walk."

Hearing "two hours," Alice and Arabella immediately froze.

Arabella had only heard from a neighbor that there would be a circus performance nearby tonight, but she never imagined the location would be a two-hour walk from here.

"Then you arrange it."

Arabella knew Dana was arranged by Alicia, so she felt comfortable with her. Seeing how knowledgeable she was, she waved her hand and put her in charge of tonight's outing arrangements.

At the dinner table, everyone seemed excited to hear they were going to see a circus performance.

After dinner, everyone rested for about half an hour before heading out. Only after leaving did everyone suddenly realize how elaborate and thorough Dana's arrangements were.

As soon as they walked out the villa's main gate, they saw a stretch Lincoln parked outside.

The car itself was fine - although a bit too conspicuous, it still fit their status. But then, the armed bodyguards standing on both sides of the gate made everyone's eyes twitch.

"This is the security company I urgently contacted through Mr. Reyes." Dana even explained with a smile.

Molly swallowed and said quietly, "Isn't this too much?"

As soon as she said this, it immediately struck a chord with everyone.

Among them were certainly wealthy and powerful people, but none of them traveled with such treatment. Even if they did, it would only be for extremely important banquets or events.

Even for Arabella in her entire life, she had only enjoyed this kind of treatment fifteen times - yes, including this time, fifteen times.

However, Dana, the one who arranged all this, didn't realize it was excessive at all.
