Chapter 529

Chapter 529

Looking at James acting so overly relaxed, Eric felt anger rising from every part of his body.

He shot a harsh glance at Brady sitting next to James, then looked at Tony lying unconscious in the corner. "Bring those two out!"

James raised an eyebrow and immediately dropped his smile. "What exactly is Mr. Adams planning to do?"

"Since Mr. Russell won't cooperate, don't blame me for using extreme measures!" Eric gave him a cold look and waved at the men rushing in. "Take them away!"

The armed thugs immediately squeezed through the door and strode toward Brady and Tony.

Tony was already unconscious, so he was easiest to move—just one thug was enough to hoist him out.

But Brady started struggling.

"What are you doing! Eric!" He yelled angrily at Eric, but his resistance didn't faze the two thugs at all.

One man simply pinned Brady's arms behind his back while another grabbed his legs, and they easily carried him out.

Eric watched coldly as the thugs left with those two, and only after they'd gone up the stairs did he turn to look at James. "Finally, let's have our Mr. Russell come out too."

James clearly received better treatment.

The thugs who came in just pulled his arms to make him stand up, then let James walk on his own.

However, his movement was still restricted.

Armed thugs surrounded James on all sides.

And Eric walked at the very back of the group.

He walked very slowly, his fox-like eyes slightly narrowed, staring intently at the back of James's head.

At this moment, Eric desperately wanted to pry open James's mouth and extract the information in his brain.

After all, everyone in the underground organization knew—

Aaron was the highest-ranking leader known in that mysterious organization.

Mr. Bourbon had specifically instructed that they must extract all information about the mysterious organization from Aaron.

Last time their underground organization lost so many people, the intelligence they gained was just scratching the surface—it didn't touch even a single piece of core information.

This failure left Mr. Bourbon feeling very frustrated.

Fortunately, a few months ago, Mr. Bourbon personally took action and successfully confirmed that James was Aaron in this organization.

Now that they'd finally trapped James on this cruise ship, Eric was determined to handle things perfectly.

This time, James and the others were brought up to the deck.

Tony and Brady were tied up with ropes and hung outside the ship's hull.

To prevent any chance of survival if they fell into the water, iron blocks were also tied to their legs.

James only needed one glance to immediately understand Eric's intention.

He stopped walking and looked back at Eric. "That's someone from the Nelson family."

Hearing this warning, Eric scoffed. He looked at Brady, who was still struggling frantically. "Just an insignificant branch member. He was probably pushed forward as a scapegoat this time."

Hearing this, Brady immediately shouted, "Bullshit! My cousin will definitely find a way to save me!"

Eric snorted coldly. "Save your energy. Who even knows you're still on the ship?"

This was naturally part of their plan.

If they kept everyone on the ship, it would definitely attract the attention of Novaria police.

But if they let most passengers disembark during the chaos, who would think that one or two passengers were still left on the ship?

And now, only an hour or two had passed since the incident. Even if someone reported it to the police, news wouldn't spread that fast. By the time the Nelson family received word, the cruise ship would already be in international waters.

At that point, even if the Nelson family wanted to rescue him, they'd be powerless.

Brady had no idea James had left a backup plan. Hearing these words, his face immediately turned ashen.

On the deck, Eric had prepared a table and two chairs.

"Now, let's have a good chat. If I'm satisfied, I'll leave them with intact corpses. If not, I'll send them down to feed the fish!" Eric's eyes flashed with menace.

James raised an eyebrow and took a seat first. "Before we start, can I look at your watch?"

The request was absurdly simple.

Eric hesitated slightly, but only slightly.

He extended his wrist with the watch toward James.

Three forty.

One hour and twenty minutes had passed since they left shore.

James thought about when Gabriel had left, his brow furrowing slightly. If everything went smoothly, reinforcements should arrive soon.

He shifted his gaze from the watch and straightened his tie, his fingers pausing briefly on his tie clip. "Let's begin. What does Mr. Adams want to ask?"

Eric sat down across from him with a warning tone. "Don't try any tricks with me!"

James raised an eyebrow.

Twenty nautical miles away in the airspace, three helicopters circled overhead.

"Mr. Torres, the signal suddenly got much stronger—less than twenty-five nautical miles from us." The man sitting beside Edward looked at the device in his hand and immediately reported the location.

Edward was currently gripping the door frame and leaning out. Hearing the voice in his earpiece, he immediately looked toward the approximate distance.

On the endless sea surface, about twenty nautical miles away, there was a vessel.

There were no other ships around. Edward almost immediately confirmed the location.

"Nine o'clock direction, everyone move toward the vessel!" He gave the order without any hesitation.

Meanwhile, at the Novaria Police Station.

"My boss is still on that cruise ship and didn't get off! The organizers said there are terrorists on board! If anything happens to my boss, you'll all pay the price!"

A Lumarian man was repeating a string of Lumarian phrases word by word.

But the police officers just watched calmly. Only after he finished saying it once more did a male officer with Lumarian features step forward.

"Sir, you know the consequences of filing a false report, right? We haven't received any cases about terrorists attacking a cruise ship." He smiled and shrugged. "If it's really like you said, why is only your boss still on the ship? I don't think terrorists would pass up the chance to kidnap Preston Fleck."

The Preston Fleck he mentioned was the current head of the Fleck family, one of Novaria's top tycoons.

The Lumarian man filing the report was middle-aged and slightly overweight. He was now so anxious that sweat covered his forehead.

He was almost in tears. "It's true, I'm not filing a false report! My boss is really in danger!"

The officers exchanged glances. Just as they were about to arrest the middle-aged Lumarian man for obstructing official duties, a young man, also with Lumarian features, entered the station from outside.

The young man stood tall and straight, wearing a custom-tailored suit—clearly someone of status.

The officers immediately looked over. "Sir, how can we help you?"

"I'm the secretary to the chairman of Summit Innovations Group. Our chairman went missing while attending a cruise party hosted by the Fleck family. I heard there are terrorists on the cruise ship."

As soon as the young man spoke, the entire police station fell silent.
