Chapter 38
“Hey, Perce.”
“Yeah?”
“Not that I don’t appreciate the incredible amount of food, but what’s the occasion?”
Percy blushed. “Nothing at all. I was bored when I woke up this morning so I thought I might as well get some things done in the kitchen.”
Rohan wasn’t convinced, but he decided not to pursue it. Judging by Diego’s expression, it was obvious he was on the same page as Rohan.
“We should start eating,” Diego said. “I’m starving for pizza and pie.”
“I want the lasagna,” Rohan added as he reached for a plate and one of the spoons.
However, before he could grab what he needed, Percy beat him to them. He watched in bewilderment as Percy piled a plate with an enormous slice of lasagna before passing it over to him. He was also more than slightly aroused by that. Maybe some people would label him a chauvinistic alpha, but he liked it when Percy took care of him. It felt wonderful. It was as if Percy was his omega for real, and he enjoyed it when his omega did things for him.
Percy then cut a massive slice of pizza and passed it to Diego. Rohan didn’t need to be a mind reader to know Diego had lustful thoughts about Percy. He could detect that particular scent from the other alpha’s pheromones. He grew more confused for the next several moments when he noticed Percy repeatedly serving him and Diego, even though the omega barely finished his own breakfast. He also had to suppress the temptation to pounce on Percy and rub himself all over the omega so he could mark the man with his scents. He might be an alpha, but he wasn’t a Neanderthal. Diego definitely had the same problem he did because the other alpha was clenching and relaxing both fists repeatedly. Rohan eventually snapped when Percy refilled his glass with orange juice for the third time.
“Perce!”
Percy glanced at Rohan in surprise. “Yeah?”
Rohan inhaled and exhaled a few times to regain control of himself. “I appreciate you serving me, but you know what that does to me. I’m sure you can smell me just fine. I’m fucking hard inside my pants right now. It doesn’t help that your omega pheromones are so damn enticing to me. I’m seconds away from jumping you and rutting you like a horny beast. You better retreat back into your bedroom and lock the door behind you. I’ll do my best not to run after you. Just…just leave the table now.”
“Ro—”
“Go!” Rohan shouted.
Percy got up and moved away from the table. However, instead of leaving the dining room, he scooted closer toward Rohan.
“Rohan, look at me.”
Rohan gripped the edge of the table and complied with Percy’s request. “Perce, you’re playing with fire now. I’m barely hanging on as it is. You’re standing way too close to me.”
“Rohan is right,” Diego said while visibly gritting his teeth. “I’m forcing myself not to rush toward you and mark you with my scents.”
Rohan was about to speak when Percy abruptly dragged him up to his feet and hugged him. He was so astonished, he stiffened in Percy’s embrace for several seconds, and the words died in his throat for just as long. Eventually, he managed to calm down a little.
“Perce, what are you doing?”
Percy pulled away a little and gazed up into Rohan’s eyes as his cheeks reddened. “Will y-you scent-mark me?”
Rohan gasped and stared back at Percy. “Are you sure? Once I do that, the pre-bonding process between us will be completed. It will hurt us both, physically and mentally, if we break it later.”
“I know that.”
Rohan nodded. “Just making sure you know what you’re asking for.”
“I do. You have my consent, and I won’t regret it,” Percy said before turning to Diego. “I want you to do the same as well. As crazy as it may sound, I trust you both, and the omega in me feels the same way. This is a chance for all three of us to see if we can possibly be mated to one another someday.”
Diego chuckled softly, and it soon turned into full-blown laughter. “You planned all this, didn’t you? The cooking and baking, serving Ro and me our breakfast…”
Diego trailed off, still chortling, while Percy gave off a powerful odor of mortification. “Yeah.”
Rohan cupped Percy’s cheeks in his palms. “Why didn’t you just say something?”
Percy quickly mumbled a response, but it was almost inaudible. Rohan frowned at Diego, but the other alpha appeared to be just as confused as he was.
“Perce, we can’t understand you,” Diego said, approaching Percy from behind, effectively trapping the omega between him and Rohan.
