Chapter 23

Eva woke up with a hot breath fanning over her neck and a grip on her waist. She took exactly 5 mins to process the whole thing to figure out the person she is next to is real or she was just in her dreamland. 

After a while of processing the situation and recollecting her thoughts she finally decided to get up from bed. But that was not quite successful because one: a hand caught her waist and pulled her and second: a sharp pain on her lower body was not helping either. 

"Where are you going? Are you leaving me again?" A hoarse yet deep voice asked from behind.

She turned just to meet with the sleepy but worried deep brown eyes. "I...uhh. Was going to take a bath and prepare breakfast. Its just that." She said between her deep breaths. 

Alex chuckled at her nervousness and caressed her cheeks. "Why so shy baby?" He said with a glint of playfulness in his statement. Eva just blushed and looked away while trying to get up but failed again this time only due to pain. 

She pouted at her wasted effort while V laughed at her cuteness. "Yah idiot! Did you forget what happened last night? You are too clumsy for your own good." He said placing Eva in the shower and leaving her for her to take a bath. 

After a while when Eva was setting the table for breakfast her phone rang. It was none other than Eric. She became nervous as she had returned to Naestelle without informing him but after a while she took a deep breath and answered the call only to pull away from her ear again. 

"Oi! You came to Nepal without informing me?! Do you know how worried I was?! Has Alex found out about you or not? If he has, then—"

"Then what?" A deep masculine voice cut off Eric. 

"Eva, did you catch a cold? What happened to your voice? Are you practicing speaking like a guy? Don't tell me you changed your gender?!" Eric started to blabber about his random unrealistic thoughts. 

"First of all, I am a boy, and second no Eva is fine, and she did not turn into the boy last night when I checked it." Alex said, sounding bored to have to deal with Eric early in the morning. 

"Wait, you are Alex?" 

"Wow, you are a smartass. Want an award?" Alex said mockingly. 

"Why thank you for that—wait, you are Alex?! The hell if you lay even a single touch on Eva I swear— 

"Oh, what are you going to do?" Alex said with a serious tone making Eva snatch her phone. 

"Hi Eric boo. I will call you later and explain everything just don't worry, okay? Bye." and then she hung up the phone. 

"What was that for?" Eva asked, folding her hands while staring at Alex. "I was just teaching some people that what belongs to me will somehow come to me." Alex said while raising his shoulders and keeping his hands on his pockets. 

"Yeah. Yeah, just come and eat." Eva said, turning away just to be pulled back and back hugged by Alex. 

"That was not the reaction I wanted. You are mine; you know that right?" Alex said with his deep voice making Eva shiver down on his arms.

"I don't belong to anyone." Eva replied while Alex released her and turned her around. 

"But we have a label, right?" 

"You never asked and last time I checked you rejected me so...." 

He sighed and kissed Eva's forehead. 

"Will you be my girlfriend? No, please be my girlfriend. No other than you will do." 

He rested his head on her shoulder. 

"What if I say no?" Eva tried to play with Alex. 

He immediately shot his head up.

"Then I will have no choice but to tie you down." His eyes looked dead serious while saying it.

Eva let out a nervous chuckle. 

"I was just kidding. Remember I was the one to fall in love first." 

Alex smiled at her and ruffled her hair, like good old times. 

"That's good now. Now come let's eat." He said, sitting down on his chair followed by Eva after a while.
