Chapter 22

She gasped and slowly her eyes followed towards the man that was standing while his back facing her. 

"Took you long enough to reach here." The boy smirked at her. 

"A-Alex." Before she could finish her words, he pinned her against the wall. 

"Why did you leave me? Didn't you say you will be with me by my side because you wanted to repay me, but you also got fed up with all those lies and left me." He said looking straight at her eyes somewhat looking angry and may be broken? 

"But you were the one that said m-me to get away from you. You were the one that called me s-slut. The one who pushed me away and how can you blame me so easily?" Eva was scared of him, at the moment, the way his eyes showed rage was enough to scare any big shot. But she also had enough to be the one to be used and thrown up like a tissue. 

He let go of Eva and ran fingers through his hair and let out a big sighed and again looked at her. 

He hugged Eva tightly like she was gonna fade away if he did not keep her. She herself was shocked it would be an understatement she even forgot to breath trying to process everything. 

"I am sorry. I am so sorry. I was stupid please give me another chance?" He said caressing Eva's hair through the hug. She could not utter a word at first but when her eyes met those deep brown eyes, she let out a big sigh still staring at those eyes making Alex chuckle and ruffle her hair like those old times. 

"I do-don’t know Alex." She finally said looking at the ground fidgeting with her fingers. 

Alex sighed before cupping her face with his large yet soft hands. "I am sorry baby and I know no matter how much sorry I say to you it will not make 2 horrible years of your life go away. But also, I am sorry, I am sorry for hurting you, I am sorry for being stupid, I am sorry to only realise my love for you after you were gone after you left me. I am sorry for everything and trust me I will do anything in my power to make you feel loved. To make you happy with me. To make you mine. I love you Eva Maggot with all my heart. I really do." 

He stared deeply into Eva's eyes making her melt in his deep brown eyes. To say she was not moved would be an understatement she could have danced, but that didn't mean the past could be changed. 

But a part of her was also happy at the moment that she could not utter a single word. She was in a utopia of her own little thoughts. Just when she thought she could not feel more euphoric he proved her wrong. When Alex’s plump soft lips met hers, she was drowned in the euphoric waves. Finally, her long one-sided love was acknowledged. Finally, she could see a little of her future with him. 

And just like all the doubt she had inside her melted away. 

Maybe it was ok to go for a rough ride one last time.
