Tia
I was sitting on our bed which was Covered with documents. The paperwork for all their properties and companies. Maybe I could run one. That was one week ago. I was thinking about what to do when he walked in.
“ Still haven't decided babe?”he asked, taking a seat on the bed.
“ No . I think I'm going to appoint someone to manage the others , and do a routine check. I'll take the real estate company and have those miscreants as you call them with me. I'll need new investors because of what we did “.
“ Not necessarily, I'll let Dad know and Anderson and they'll reinvest ”.
“ Okay,I need to have this done within the month. I don't want to have this lingering over my head for the wedding ” ,I said
There was a knock at the door. My mom walked in.
“ Hi mom, What's up?”.
“ I accepted. But I don't want a big deal of it. We'll just go to the courthouse tomorrow. It's my decision”.
“ Okay mom ”.
After that she walked out.
“ Crap, Dominic I need a house ”.
“ For ?”.
“ Them. He doesn't want to stay there , neither am I sending my mother to that house. Apparently I'm not rich now so I can afford a house for them ”. I said
He just smiled at me.
“ Okay, I'll go house hunting with Bennett right now and we'll have one close by” .
“ Thank you , I'm going out with Allie, Tatiana and Mel to get a dress for her“.
He gave me a kiss and left. I found Allie in the kitchen.
“ I need your help”.
I explained what was going on and we left. We would meet Tatiana and Mel at the store.
Halfway on the drive,I was hit with a sudden wave of nausea. I was about to tap Allie when she pulled over. I jumped out and ran to the side of the road and started throwing up. She was throwing up too. I grabbed a bottle of water and one for her.
After we rinsed our mouths and faces,we sat quietly in the car.
“ Allie?”.
“ Do you want to check Tia?”.
I knew what she was asking. “ I'm scared Allie”.She held my hands. “ I am too. Let's go get the dress first and on the way back we'll visit our family doctor”.
“ Okay ”.
Mel and Tatiana were more than happy to help pick out a dress. After we got the dress we headed to the doctor. I sat outside while Allie went in. After she came back out she didn't say anything, all she said was to go in. I was pregnant,almost one month. I came back out and sat next to her.
“ I'm almost one month pregnant Allie.”.
“ Me too , We'll be fine won't we?I'm terrified. I don't want Bennett to know yet. I want to tell them after your wedding. I don't want to spoil anything for you “.
I looked at her, “ Allie Announcing your pregnancy is a good thing. I really don't care about the wedding so much. ”.
“ No Tia ,by then we'll be at least two months and then we'll let them know, Please ”. She looked at me pleadingly
“ I'll make a deal with you. I won't say anything about it neither will you. But at the wedding reception we'll tell everyone together. Do we have a deal ?”.
“ Okay ”. She said smiling

I saw her Come in with Allie, she had a garment bag.I didn't have to look far for a house, Bennett reminded me there was one a few miles away from us and it was perfect for her mother ,so I bought it.She would be closer.
She came over to me and sat down.
“ For the next few days I'll need help putting some properties on the market and settling the company problems” . She said looking at us
“ don't worry sis , we'll help” , Bennett said.
That night in bed she was extra quiet.
“ You have a lot on your mind ?”.
“ Yes , I'm worried about Cassandra”
“ Alyssa's mother?”
“ Yes , When she gets wind that Collin's getting married. I'm worried about my mom”.
“ Don't be , I've always had someone keep an eye on her” ,I said, pulling her into me.
“ Don't worry I'm not going to do anything,I just want to hold you. Go to sleep, you'll be tired tomorrow”.
“ Okay”.
She was gone by the time I woke up the next morning. I know she had a lot to do.
I met her along with my parents at the courthouse around ten that morning.
My Dad and Mother signed as witnesses to their marriage. Angela looked happy.
Tia came over to me
“ She's happy isn't she ?”.
“ She is love. I have the house keys here, we'll take them over there ”.
“ Okay ”.
I told Angela we had a surprise for her. Somehow Collin got wind that a house was being bought and he asked me. I told him she wanted to do this for her mother and it was a gift from us. He tried to refuse but I just ignored him.
“ Dominic, Where are we going? , isn't this the way back to your parents house?”.
“ You'll see babe”.
When I pulled up to the gate she looked at me. “ You bought a house so she would be closer?”.
“ Yes . I know how much She means to you, besides I'm sure she'll want to be close to her grandkids ”.
“ Thank you ”.
When we parked and got out ,we waited until Angela and Collin came over to us.
“ who's place is this Tia ?”,
“ Let's go mom”.She took her hands and led her to the front door. I handed her the keys and she gave it to her mom.
“ This is Yours mom, It's from us”.
Angela looked at me then at her.
“ Sweetie, Dominic you didn't have to do this”.
Collin held her hands, It's from our daughter and son-in-law. I tried to refuse but Dominic wouldn't relent so accept it”.
“ Thank you, Both of you”.
I pulled Tia, “ We've got to get going, we've Both got stuff to do , we'll see you when we see you ”.
We left them standing there , looking at us.
When we got into the car she started laughing. “ My mother is at a complete loss , right now, it's been well over ten years since she's been in a relationship”.
“ Babe, that's not funny. What are you going to do later?”.
“ I've already made the decision so I'm taking Allie and the others and we'll get started. We'll be busy for a while ”.
“ That's okay love”. When we got back home she showered and left.
It's been three weeks since Angela got married and three weeks since I've seen her. I was at the back making sure the work was coming along. The house was finished and the last finishing touches were getting done.she'll design the inside however she wants. I saw Bennett walking towards me.
“ Dominic What has your woman done to my wife ?”. I shook my head.
“Bennet The only reason I haven't gone bat shit crazy and thought she's missing is because Joshua is watching them. But Shit it's been three weeks since I've seen her properly. I didn't think she would put her all in and try to finish before the wedding”. I said looking at him.
“ Well ,they went dress shopping yesterday ”. He said.
“ Weren't they in Manhattan yesterday Working?”. I asked him
“ Yes,but don't ask me how ,mom and Angela were talking and I asked so they told me. Can I ask you something Dominic?”.
“ Shoot ?”.
“ Has Tia been acting a bit weird ? ,I mean I haven't seen Allie drinking wine. She's quiet now and she's careful, always taking her time while doing things. Also, no coffee,no sushi. I know what she eats so I find it weird”. He said
That was indeed strange because Tia was the same and I told him.
“ You don't think they're pregnant are they?”. He asked cautiously
“ Didn't you and Allie decide to wait? I mean . Besides the probability of both of them being pregnant at the same time is too fucking much of a coincidence. I think it's because they're always together now and they're busy ”. I said
“ Yeah you're probably right, I'm just overthinking “. He said
That afternoon they surprised us and came home early. “ We're home ” ,Allie yelled. “ We're finished finally ”. Tia said, plopping herself onto the couch next to me. “ So everything is settled?” ,I said looking at her, “ Yep ,Dad has the shipping company, I have the real estate and Rachel has one but someone's running it for her. Tatiana And Allie will handle mine for me until I get back from our honeymoon ”. ,she said smiling. I missed her smile.
“ We have something to tell you”, Allie said. I saw mom and dad walk in followed by Angela and Collin.
“ I feel like I haven't seen the two of you in ages,” Mom said, hugging them.
” Sorry we were just busy but we're finished now. How are you mom ,Dad”.i could tell Collin was surprised she called him dad.
“ I'm okay Sweetheart so is your mother ” ,He said taking a seat next to Angela.
“ You said you have something to tell us?”. I said drawing the topic back to what they were saying. They were looking at each other. What did they do?
“ Umm I wanted to wait until after the wedding to tell everyone but Tia wouldn't let me”. Bennett said, “ Tell us with Allie?”.
She looked at Tia “ Well ,umm we're Both pregnant almost two months ”, Tia said.
“ Oh God Lord, I'm getting grandbabies”. My mom shouted. So that's what the changes were about. I pulled her into me and kissed her . “ You're not mad are you?” ,she asked quietly. “ No, I'm happy”.
They're was congratulations all around.
We were heading to dinner. I was standing outside when Bennett came up next to me
“Did they plan this ?”.He asked.
“ Are you happy or….?”. I left the question there.
“ I'm happy Dominic,she asked me if I thought it was time and I told her okay. She said she needed to do something first.so I'm guessing she wanted to talk to Tia first. Fuck I'm going to become a dad”.
“ Congrats bro , don't Fuck up” ,I said hitting him in the shoulder. He Hit me back and we ended up sparring.
“ Cut that out, You're both so immature”.
“ Sorry Dad”.
“ Sorry”.
“ Now is when I'll see what the two of you are made of”. Dad said
“ Excuse me ?” Bennett said.
“ You think pregnancy is easy? You'll be having sleepless nights for the next two years. The next nine months you'll be dealing with morning sickness, those disgusting Cravings at all hours of the night and oh Swollen feet and hormonal swings. Hahah oh boy . I think I'm going to take Mel and Tatiana on that bet”. He said then walked away.
