Tia
Well, that was unexpected; he came out of nowhere. He pulled a kerchief out of his pocket and put it on my head. Was I really bleeding? Tatiana and the others rushed over.
I heard the voice before I saw him.
“What on earth is happening here, Dominic?” said his father.
"AAsk the demented bitch Alissa; she threw a vase at Tia." There was still anger in his words.
He walked over to me and started checking on me. That's when I noticed there were scratches and blood on both my hands after trying to shield the glass shards.
“ Dominic Take her to the hospital, and Alyssa, I want you out of this building right now. You're done, especially for that nonsense you pulled a few days ago. I do not ever want to see you around this building or my home. Is that understood?.”.
“Mr. Chase, please let me explain.” She tried walking towards him, but he stopped her.
“I already spoke; get out." He walked over to me.
", Mr. Chase I'm fine; I don't need to go to the hospital.” Neither of them would listen.
"II'm extremely sorry, dear, but you will please, for my peace of mind," he said pleadingly.
“Okay sir, I'll go.”. I guess I didn't have a choice.
Dominic didn't wait; he took my hand and led me to the elevator. As soon as the doors closed, he was in front of me, checking on me.
“Mr. Chase, please stop!"
"SStop calling me that. Are you hurt anywhere else?” ,
"Mr. Chase, I'm perfectly fine.".
After we got to the garage, he pulled me over to his car. I still didn't look at him.
“What did you say to her?”. I looked everywhere else, but not at him.
I couldn't. I knew it was wrong to provoke her, but I couldn't help it.
“Tia, you're looking guilty as hell; what did you say to her?”. He just stood there with folded arms.
“I was angry, okay? I told her she was lucky I stepped aside so she could have you."
“Okay and what else?"
“umm.” .
“Um, what?".
“I told her I called you, you'd leave everything and come to me, that you didn't want her, and about the day in the office.”.
I could feel him looking at me, but I couldn't bring myself to look at him.
Bennett
“Bennett, I'll handle things here. Why don't you go with your brother to make sure Tia is doing okay and let her take the rest of the day off?”.
“Sure, Dad!”.
Alyssa is absolutely crazy. I was really glad that Dominic sorted this out, and he really wasn't the father of her child, or she was going to make our lives a living hell. My wife already said she doesn't and won't ever accept Alyssa as her sister-in-law. As the elevator came to a stop in the garage, I heard a loud voice. That sounded like Dominic. What the hell was going on?
I know my brother has a nasty temper. I used the car to hide and made my way over to the voices. What the hell, Dominic and Tia? What was going on here?
“Tia, look at me, there's been a slight change, well, a new development."
", Mr. Chase I'd really like to leave.”.
“FOR THE LOVE OF FUCKING CHRIST, STOP CALLING ME THAT," he was pacing back and forth.
“Dominican, do not raise your voice at me."
“I'm sorry, I didn't mean to; just let me explain, okay." Wait, did my brother just apologize?.
“We had an agreement, Dominic. I gave you a month, and this is breaking that agreement." . What agreement did the two of them have?.
“I love you, Tia, and Alyssa is already gone. Earlier this week we took her to the doctor; it's not mine. She lied. She tried bribing the doctor, then disappearedd.
"II see you.”.
“Just give me a few more days to make sure she's gone for good, then I'm coming to you, okay?" He sounded desperate.
“Okay, fine, I'm leaving. Don't follow me. I don't want to see you unless you've got this shit under control, Dominic. I mean it.”
Holy sh*t, they are together or were together? Oh man, Dominic really screwed up now. I stood looking at them. She walked away, leaving him standing there. I was in disbelief.
Dominic
I know we haven't spent any time together, but in those few moments with her, I was willing to risk it all just to have her. I don't know how long I was standing there until someone tapped me on the shoulder. I turned around to find Bennett looking at me.
"WWhat are you doing here?"
“You've fucked up big time, huh? How bad do you want her?”. Shit, he heard.
I just looked at him.
“Wait, you're not mad?"
“Nope, I know what you see in her. I spoke to her for ten minutes, and she's different."
“It's her Bennett, but I need to figure out this shit with Alissa and make sure she doesn't show up again.” How do I make Alyssa understand?
“Let's head back up; we'll figure it out. You need to fix this shit and fast. Let's go. If you're absolutely sure about Tia, then you might want to tell dad and mom in case that crazy bitch tries any more of her shit.”.
I nodded. He was right. I didn't want Tia to get hurt in any way, and knowing Alyssa, she wouldn't stop.
Tia
I drove to the doctor; the cuts weren't that deep, just scratches. After that, I went back to the office. I sat in my car in the garage and took a minute for myself. I don't think Alyssa would let this go. If he really wasn't the father of her child, then she'd try to get him at any cost, even to the point where she could hurt me. Then where does that leave me and him?
I was mentally and emotionally drained. I needed some time to think and put everything into perspective. I needed to get my stuff from the office and head home. I was having a serious headache. I got out of the car and headed towards the elevator. When I walked into the department, everyone just looked at me. Tatiana was the first one to rush over to me.
“Tia, are you okay?” she asked frantically.
"YYes I'm fine. I just came back to get my stuff. I'm having a serious headachee.
“Okay, we'll handle things here; besides, it's already two in the afternoon."
“Thank you!”. After I reassured them that I was fine, I went into my office and closed the door. Dominic was sitting in my chair.
"AAre you okay?"
"II'm Fine, Dominic." I'm just having a slight headachee."
“Why don't you go home and get some rest? ”"II am about to...”. He got up and walked over to me and stood looking at me, brushing a few stray curls that had escaped.
I grabbed my bags and left. I headed back to the garage and back to my car.
I heard a car screech pulling out of the garage somewhere. I heard it but didn't see it in time. The last thing I remember was turning around and seeing a car headed straight towards me. Then everything went black.
