Chapter 13

I stood there awkwardly, not knowing what I did to upset him.

In the end, it was Uncle Bear who took pity on me and asked me what I wanted to do.

I said I wanted to learn how to wash cars, and he taught me.

Compared to Jason, he was much gentler.

"Most of the employees in the factory used to work with him on the construction site. Because the project funds were not received, he took a group of people back to his hometown and supported a large group of people by fixing cars. He is truly a good person."

Uncle Bear told me while teaching me how to wash cars.

I was stunned for a moment. "The project funds you mentioned, are they the ten million US dollars my dad owed?"

Uncle Bear felt like he said the wrong thing and became a little nervous. "Your dad is your dad, and you are you. In fact, we were also forced at that time. Many people were waiting for money to save their lives. I swear, Boss never intended to do anything to you."

He nervously raised his hand and swore.

"It's my dad's fault." My mood hit rock bottom.

"In fact, you don't need to blame yourself. In the end, Boss took out most of the money to cover the project funds. There was still a little bit missing, but it was close. So, we all rely on him for the rest of our lives."

Uncle Bear gave me a smile.

I was shocked.

In my mind, Jason was associated with run-down apartments and sloppiness.

I always thought he was poor, to the extent that he wanted me to even record the price of a $4.50 instant noodle cup.

I never thought that he would take out all the money to fill the project funds.

I blamed myself even more.

In the morning, Uncle Bear taught me very patiently and paid close attention to my safety.

The other uncles nearby finished their work and came over to watch and teach me, competing to do most of the physically demanding tasks.

"Rachel, just treat it as summer training, no need to be so serious."

"Yeah, girls shouldn't be doing dirty and heavy work."
