Chapter 50 I'm Her Boyfriend

Chapter 50 I'm Her Boyfriend
They reached the airport quickly.

After checking in, Ellie saw Tyler nearby.

His dark green sports car was still parked at the terminal entrance.

He stared into the distance, his eyes reflecting a quiet ache, lost in thought.

She walked toward him.

He raised a hand and said, "Your phone."

She pulled out her phone, thinking he wanted it returned.

"That's not what I meant." Tyler stopped her with a subtle gesture. "The butler's contact information is saved in there. You can connect to the service with a single tap."

Ellie paused, a flicker of doubt crossing her face, then nodded reluctantly.

He pressed his lips together and watched her for a moment.

After a moment, he asked softly, "Ellie, are we officially broken up?"

Just as Ellie was about to speak, a shout rang out from the doorway.

A shout rang out from the doorway.

"Ellie!"

Dylan was rushing straight toward her.

Tyler's anger erupted instantly.

He strode forward, wrapped an arm around Ellie, and pulled her into his embrace.

Dylan's footsteps came to an abrupt halt.

Tyler stood behind Ellie, one hand on her waist, the other around her, enveloping her.

He curved his lips slightly, facing Dylan yet addressing the person in his arms. "Is this your fiancé?"

Ellie's expression was odd. "No, it's not him."

"My mistake," he said calmly.

Dylan suppressed the urge to lash out and introduced himself. "I'm her best friend's brother. We grew up together."

"Grew up together..." Tyler let the words sink in.

With a sudden motion, Tyler tightened his arms around Ellie, pulling her closer against his chest.

"Grew up together, huh?" he asked softly, his breath brushing against her skin.

Ellie stiffened, nearly losing her balance.

"I'm her boyfriend." Tyler chuckled, looking up at Dylan.

Dylan's face drained of color, shock and humiliation flaring in his eyes.

Tyler reached out and gently cupped Ellie's chin. "Kiss me?"

Without hesitating, Ellie stood on her tiptoes and pressed her lips against his.

Tyler turned to Dylan, his smile defiant.

Dylan's pupils contracted violently.

He stared at them, standing close.

"Ellie!" he shouted. "How could you have become like this?"

"What have I become?" Ellie asked calmly.

"I've known you since I was fourteen! Our families have been friends for generations!" Dylan's voice cracked as he choked back a sob, his eyes shining with unshed tears.

"So what?"

Are you blaming me for not pursuing you? I'm just a normal man. You were always so cold. When a gentle, caring girl came along, how could I resist? No twenty-year-old man could resist!"

Ellie instinctively turned her head and glanced over her shoulder at Tyler, who was directly behind her.

"He and I are different," Tyler snapped. "He's a loser."

"I agree." Ellie chuckled.

Dylan was on the verge of breaking down, gritting his teeth. "Ellie! You've always been well-behaved! How could you--"

Ellie glared, cold fury flashing in her eyes as indignation simmered within her.

Tyler pulled her closer, lowered his chin, and whispered, "Is this what you call the bond of growing up together?"

Ellie lowered her head, laughing.

Dylan broke down and roared, "What are you laughing at?!"

"We're laughing at your stupidity," Tyler said and kissed Ellie on the cheek.

He landed a kiss on the corner of her mouth.

Then, he let out a soft sigh and loosened his arms around her.

It was time to go.

She had to go.

Before his hand had fully dropped, a sports car sped up from outside and slammed to a halt at the entrance.

It was a red Ferrari.

Tyler paused and tightened his arms around Ellie.

It was Raymond.

Tyler lowered his gaze and asked in a low voice, "Fiancé?"

Ellie let out a soft sigh.

Before she could respond, Tyler cupped her cheek with his large hand and turned her face towards him.

His mouth claimed hers.

It was a tender, possessive kiss.

"Don't you dare admit it," he whispered.

Raymond approached and launched into a frenzied tirade.

Swear words flew nonstop.

Ignoring him, Tyler said softly, "Call me if you miss me."

He then released her, gently pulling her back a step. "Go on."

"Okay." Ellie nodded, turning to leave.

Raymond roared in anger, trying to stop her. "Ellie! Stop right there!"

Tyler's towering figure stepped in front of him.

"She's leaving today," he said defiantly.

He casually tossed his jacket aside and declared, "No one can stop her."

Patrick had just appeared and caught the jacket with a steady hand.
