Improvised rescue

He didn't question my words and just concentrated on walking on .

"Wait I would like to follow you, I can be very useful if you need help from the pack "

Said the werewolf whom I had spared a torturous death .

"Over my dead body , or better over yours ."

Said with great irony Carmina .

"I do not want to take away your enthusiasm , but I do not think it's a good idea for you to come with us , it will be dangerous . We are not going for a walk , we are going on an almost suicidal mission ."

I commented trying to persuade him of the far-fetched idea .

"I'll risk it , I think I must do it for the honor of our pack" .

"Honor , what honor " Carmina replied raising her voice .

"The same honor I rendered to your father in life, that honor compels me to make your endorsement at this time ."

Carmina sketched one of her typical thunderous laughter upon hearing the werewolf's words .

"I've never needed anyone, let alone a person like you."

"We never know who we'll need at the right time, I think we could use some extra help "

I suggested calmly, though I expected a rebuke from Carmina. The idea was a bit out of place, but I knew that the more allies I had to face Araticus, the more chances I would have to save my father . I admit I was only thinking of my own benefit at the time but I didn't have many tools .

"I don't want to be accompanied by this traitor, don't you understand, why do you have to complicate things?"

Taking me forcefully by the shoulders Carmina tried to force me to change my mind , but at that moment I only wanted to get allies and not enemies .

"I'll keep him under control , he won't cause any trouble . We can tell him to go more than a kilometer away from us ."

She looked at me without comment , and after a few minutes she made me a gesture with her face of approval .

"You can come with us , but you must stay minimum one kilometer away from us , you know it's a little sensitive ."

I muttered under my breath , approaching the werewolf .

"I understand , I will do my best to help and have a team of men at your disposal in case we need more support ."

I felt like a little leader on the rise , when I made this decision to venture out alone to rescue my father I never thought I would have the help of a werewolf other than Carmina's agile powers , let alone a pack of werewolves at my disposal . I wouldn't want to get my hopes up too high , but I think we can achieve the goal I set for myself .

The werewolf turned to keep pace with us more than a kilometer away , he ran so fast that he seemed to blur into the trees .

Carmina commented , watching as I searched with my eyes for the wolf's trail .

I rolled my eyes and began to fly over the trees in the direction of the Pocaterra mansion.

"I told you, I'm the fastest creature in the whole forest".

Carmina commented as she quickly reached one of the mountains near the Pocaterra mansion, just as I had pointed out to her.

"I understand you are the fastest creature , now is the time to watch the surroundings of the mansion and count the guards that we must take down to enter without being seen . I warn you that the guards of the mansion Pocaterra are ruthless neophytes who will only want to tear you apart , so you must have your senses very alert ."

I told him , before I flew over the mountain in search of a better view of the Pocaterra mansion . The moment of truth had arrived, I was only a kilometer away from my father's freedom. While being there filled me with a deep euphoria , I also can't deny that I was terrified .

"You have nothing to worry about , I know very well how to fight a neophyte without making a fuss . We'll be fine , we'll save your father ."

He told me while a look of understanding flashed from his eyes , and left me completely amazed .I looked back and I was sure that Carmina's protective werewolf was still watching us and guarding our back .

I took courage and decided to approach the mansion , I watched from afar the movement of the few guards who were outside and I knew when was the exact moment to enter without being seen . Like a dark shadow in the darkness of the night, I infiltrated the Pocaterra mansion with Carmina, ready to kill or die for my father.

"But look who just violated the security of the mansion , I hope you assume the consequences of the act you just committed ".

Said Sara to me , who instantly noticed our entrance through one of the shadiest and little traveled corners of the mansion .

"I came to rescue my father and you won't be able to stop me this time , you don't know what I'm capable of doing for him" .

He looks at me of with a cynical smile on his lips , as he listened to the words I said to him in a threatening tone .

"Do you think that because you brought a battle companion you will get out of this alive ?"

I ask , looking carefully at Carmina in a contemptuous manner .

"You don't know who you are talking to my dear , but careless in a moment you will know who you are up against , and I advise you to start lowering your tone towards me ."

Sara was silent for a moment and stared at Carmina to hurt her , but I put the protective shield around her and she could not touch us .

"I warn you , a weak protective shield will not save you " Sara spit , full of anger in her deep red eyes .

"Maybe not , but it will help me dodge your attacks and that's enough ."

I kept the shield on Carmina , and she decided to attack Sara while she was immune to her attacks . Sobre flew towards her quickly and hooked her arms to hers to take her down from behind, which she did successfully , then grabbed her by the neck and tried to strangle her , and then made an attempt to break her neck .

A couple of minutes passed while I only dedicated myself to keep the shield over Carmina, to avoid that Carmina , to prevent Sara from using her visual powers on her . I felt we were gaining ground when Emes appeared behind me and paralyzed my senses with his black clouds .

"You are such a moron , may I know what you came back for .Maybe you came to seek your own destruction , or maybe to meet your new enemy?"
