Emily covered her mouth with her hand as her stomach twisted in pain. Her mind was in complete chaos, and she didn’t know what she had said or done before. She didn’t even understand what mistake she had made, only knowing that Matthew had once again abandoned her.

After Matthew left, he immediately sent his subordinates to investigate the male Emily had mentioned, Robert Thomas. But in the end, all he received was a negative answer.
Matthew sat down on the sofa, listening to the report from his subordinate, his face growing increasingly grim.
“Sorry, Boss, we’ve checked all the records of the middle and high-ranking males in the empire and the federation, but we couldn’t find anyone who could have easily taken Ms. Rishima under our watch. Moreover, there’s no information about New Dawn Hospital receiving a traffic accident patient on the day Ms. Rishima had her surgery.”
“Boss, we’ve found several males named Robert Thomas, but they are all ordinary figures with no high status. Could you confirm his name again?”
After hearing this report, Matthew’s face turned ashen. He looked at his subordinate, then, in a fit of rage, grabbed the ashtray on the table and threw it hard onto the floor.
"Boom!" A loud explosion echoed as the ashtray shattered into thousands of pieces of glass scattered everywhere.
Matthew glared fiercely at his team.
“You are all useless! Keep searching for me! Even if you have to dig three feet underground, find this male for me!”
"But, Boss, we’ve already invested so much effort in the investigation, but it’s impossible to find him. Could there be an issue with your information?”
Matthew looked at him coldly. Those words from his subordinate touched the anxiety in his heart. In fact, this was what Matthew feared the most. Had Emily lied to him again? After all, this wasn’t the first time Emily had lied.
Matthew picked up his phone, texted the driver who was carrying Emily, and directly ordered, “Take Emily to my place, don’t take her back to her house.”

Robert stood silently by the window, quietly looking outside.
In the morning, Rishima had moved a little. The doctor said she would wake up very soon. This was the good news Robert had been waiting for. Finally, Jenna would awaken from her deep sleep. He and she would finally be together.
Just then, a knock on the door sounded.
"Come in."

The door opened, and a deep voice echoed in the darkness, "Boss, Matthew is investigating you."

"Really?" Robert laughed coldly, "I knew this day would come, just didn't expect it to come so quickly."

"Boss, should we retaliate?"

"No need, he can't find out anything about me."

Robert picked up a glass of wine from the table, poured some red wine into it, and took a gentle sip. A mocking smile appeared at the corner of his mouth.

He wasn't worried about Matthew searching for information about him because, as long as it concerned Jenna, he would make sure to handle it himself. The car accident involving Jenna, including her medical records, had all been destroyed by him.

From the very beginning, Robert had known he couldn't trust Emily, so he had provided her with a lot of false information. Including his name, everything was fake.

In fact, he and his sister didn’t carry the surname Thomas, but Thompson. His real name was Roberto Thompson, and his sister was Jenna Thompson.

The fake name he gave Emily was just to hide everything from those around him. But Roberto didn't expect Emily to be so untrustworthy. Despite his serious threats, Emily still revealed that Rishima was alive.
Roberto walked over to the bed where Rishima was lying and gazed at her lovingly. He then gently stroked her face, a slight smirk tugging at his lips, "Jenna, we've struggled so much to be together. Why do those despicable souls always want to tear us apart? I will never let anyone take you away from me."

Roberto gently took Rishima's hand, his lips curling into a cruel smile, "In the beginning, I spared Emily because of the help she once gave you. But in the end, this secret shouldn’t be known by too many others, and Emily's actions have left me utterly disappointed."

Roberto placed Rishima's hand on his lips. In truth, the threats he had made to Emily were lies. He had worked so hard to win his sister’s heart and bond it with Rishima, so how could he abandon her and want Rishima dead?

As for the scandal about Alina, Matthew's sister, it was also a fabrication he created. Information about a large pack like Moonlight wasn't so easily leaked.

At first, he thought these two threats would be enough to control Emily tightly. But Emily still betrayed him.
Roberto slowly looked up, his eyes cold, a sinister smirk on his lips. He gave a cruel laugh and directly ordered his subordinates, "Go deal with Emily."

Roberto paused for a moment, as eliminating Emily might lead her parents to discover something, which would create a big problem.
