40- Just take a time
—Well, I killed three and reappeared here. Now how many will there be? Three again or Four? Maybe more?
He reloads his crossbow, runs and somersaults on the ground, now he appears on a boat in the middle of a storm and his shot is aimed at a creepy black oceanic creature with tentacles and very sharp teeth that comes out of the sea to eat him, Sherek hits his shot , he hits the creature in the mouth and it falls dead and now he goes to the other side of the boat trying to maintain his balance and shoots another similar creature that was threatening other sailors on the boat, he manages to hit it killing it, Sherek searches around the boat more creatures but none come out and the waters begin to calm, he is a little surprised and suddenly he notices that all the sailors take out weapons and run to attack him, he jumps on some barrels, he hits one of the sailors in a rib, he reloads quickly , he hits another sailor in the head, but the rest were already very close, they manage to take him down, they take away his weapon, they tie him up and begin to torture him a little until one finally puts a scimitar through his chest, Sherek reappears in room.
Sherek takes some time to breathe and assimilate all this, deciding with his next shot not to make such a sudden movement, so perhaps he wouldn't get into such a difficult situation. He reloads his weapon, but this time walking and crouching a little, he appears in one of the towers of a castle and aims at a catapult, his shot misses who was reloading this projectile, and the stone from the catapult shoots and destroys the tower in the that Sherek was, causing a huge amount of debris to fall on him, crushing him.
Sherek reappears in the room and now notices that each bolt will be more difficult than the previous one, regardless of whether the movement he made was abrupt or not. He takes a few minutes to rest and continues. He has thirty-six bolts left, so it will be exhausting work.
After a couple of hours, Sherek finds himself overwhelmed by all these illusions of war and death that he has to go through, he still has thirteen bolts left and he decides to go back to rest a little. This time the tiredness is so great that he falls asleep. Laren the Ivyforger appears recites a few words to him, and leaves again.
Sherek wakes up the next day and gets scared, he checks around him and everything is fine. He is very terrified of having fallen asleep in the middle of all this, he picks up the crossbow with caution, prepares, and shoots, but nothing happens. He hits the target in the neck, Sherek reloads again, jogs a bit, fires, and still nothing. He hits one of the targets in the leg. The spell is over, yet Sherek continues making maneuvers while firing the bolts he has left, without realizing he takes the last one, and when he aims it appears in one of his dreams. An old and abandoned house with a hellish landscape, he remembers that upon entering it he went up some stairs and killed an enemy who was sitting with his back turned. Sherek goes back in, avoiding the branch that made him trip by pulling on his foot. Once inside the house he ignores the shotgun, trusts in his crossbow, goes up the stairs, and upon reaching the room where his enemy is. This one was not with his back turned, but rather waiting for him with several guards of demonic appearance, black armor, horned helmet, and very strong reddish skin. He immediately fires the bolt at him, the guards swipe him away as if it were a small stone. Sherek runs out of ammunition and the enemies begin to run toward him with swords and flails. Sherek runs away quickly, goes down the stairs, and checks the stall where the shotgun is, but the place is empty, he remembers at that moment that when he opened the door in his dream he fell into a strange hole. So there he waits patiently for his enemies, when they arrive the three of them rush towards him, Sherek opens the door while he avoids them holding on to some shelves and the enemies fall into his trap except for one of the guards of the main objective. he. He manages to grab hold of one of Sherek's feet, holding on and trying to pull him up. Sherek kicks him, tries to let him go, and throws some objects at him but nothing works. Now the hand of this macabre being begins to heat up and burn Sherek's ankle a little. He screams in pain as he continues to try to get free and out of nowhere, he appears in a hallway, alone and with a door a couple of steps away. Sherek has emerged from this horrible illusion and is now heading to this entrance, opening it with some fear and caution, he realizes that he is leaving the magical training rooms. He could see everyone else training from above, the roof of this venue from above, it was a transparent glass where you could see everything that was happening in the different rooms. Through some of the rooms that he had not gone through, such as the defense room, in which all the apprentices carried a shield and received an invisible blow and had to detect it. Another room where everyone was running and jumping from something Sherek couldn't perceive. A small weapons room, in which everyone fought with small daggers and daggers. Near the end of this long hallway was a room in which everyone was kneeling with their eyes closed. Sherek paid more attention to them since it was the only room in which there was no action. He was observing her for a while and suddenly one of the apprentices turned towards him and looked at him with a penetrating and dark gaze, then another, and another until everyone was staring at Sherek from below without blinking. Sherek gets scared and quickly looks for the exit from the place, he opens another door and this time he finds himself in Laren's chambers, there is a bed, a couple of books, and hot tea, on a table near the bed. Sherek has many doubts in his head, he does not know if this was another illusion, if he has finally finished his training, or if it was a trap from Laren. He decides to sit on the bed and wait for this magician to appear. After several minutes, everything is still very calm and silent, Sherek speaks to nothing as if calling something. —What should I do now?
