Chapter 131 Evil Mission

Chapter 131 Evil Mission
Theron’s Point of View

“Morning sunshine,” I murmured against Eden’s soft and supple cheeks as I smothered her with kisses. “You should get up now, or we will be late for work.”

Eden’s warm body stiffened, then she stretched, her eyes flickered open.

“Good morning,” She mumbled as she stretched her arms, her eyes flickered to the bedside clock, and then she panicked. “Goodness! Look at the time, we are late.”

She flew up from the bed, unwrapping herself from the duvet, and then sprinting into the bathroom; I followed her.

“What are you doing?” She asked as she tried to close the door that I blocked with my feet. She raised her eyebrows when I opened the door wider and got in with her.

“Trying to bathe as well.” I answered honestly, “The bathroom is big enough to let us bathe together.”

“I am not bathing together with you.” She complained. “Look, we are both very late, and we need to bathe as quickly as possible.”

“Yes, that is precisely why we must bathe together, to save time,” I answered, and then she flushed.

“But…” She trailed off. “Bath time is private time.”

I began to take off my clothes, pulling her closer to the shower heads. “We had the most mind-blowing sex last night. What do you mean by private time?” I reminded her, and she tore her gaze away from mine, looking sideways. “We both have no privacy. And thinking of it, we can bathe together from now on, it’s difficult to reach my back sometimes.”

Her face reddened like she was a tomato, but she said nothing to dispute.

Just as soon as I entered my office, my phone blasted, a small huff escaped my mouth as I placed my briefcase on the table, fishing my phone out of my coat.

My eyes narrowed slightly, glancing at the caller ID, I initially thought it was the Spokesperson of the WAMed. Union, I have a meeting with the board of directors today, and they still haven’t made proper reservations on where the meeting will be held. But instead, the caller was my father.

We don’t necessarily communicate with each other through direct line phone calls, unless something was happening, I answered the phone call anyway.

“Theron,” He even started the conversation with my name. This call can’t be anything good.

“Yes, father,” I answered almost immediately. “When were you planning to tell me?” He asked curiously, and I became even more confused. “You got married to Eden after ruining her relationship with Thorne. Is this true?”

I was silent for a minute or two.

“Father, is this some baseless accusations again?” I complained, massaging my temple. “I am still traumatized by the last event, and I don’t want something like that to happen again.”

“I am not accusing you, son.” His voice became softer. “If I wanted to, I wouldn’t call you. I just heard from your brother, and now I want to hear from you. I am certain you won’t lie to me.”

“Is that what the spinless bastard told you?” I chuckled softly. “If that were true, I don’t think Eden would be silent. If I truly broke their relationship like the villain he portrayed me to be, she would be back with him the moment he explained his side to her.”

“That’s true, so tell me what happened, and how does this involve you?”

I let out a stiff sigh.

“Father, I met Eden by chance because Thorne brought her to my cabin house, and she was alone when I came home. I was surprised because I thought she was an intruder, and somehow she tragically found out he was cheating on her, so she ended the relationship,” I explained further. “According to Thorne, the only wrong I did was not helping him cover traces of his infidelity, and I was not obliged to do something so evil to the poor, innocent girl.”

There was a long silence at the end of the phone.

“You can talk to Eden if you don’t believe me,” I concluded, and Father drew in a sharp breath.

“I already did.” I felt my heart stop in my chest, and I became curious. “I called her before I called you.”

“Then was her statement different from mine?” I queried; my heart went into overdrive, one wrong statement and my father might lose all faith and trust in me.

“She told me all Thorne did was lie to me, she said the same thing you told me.” He confessed, and I felt my upper lips curved into a smirk. I don’t think I have been happier in my whole life.

“Since you have your answer, father, I think I am allowed to go on with the rest of my day,” I suggested.

“Very well then, thanks, son.” He sighed. “Have a nice day.”

The call ended, and a grin formed on my face. I was so excited, I needed to call Eden and speak to her when I heard a knock on the door.

“Come in,” I ordered, and the door opened almost immediately, noticing the dark brown hair of the lady at the doorway, and almost immediately, I remembered who she was. She was quite a familiar face that I had seen several times.

“Evangeline?” I asked curiously, and she nodded. A small smile formed on her face as she shut the door before walking towards my table.

“I don’t remember sending for you,” I muttered, and I felt my eyebrow rise when she sat down even before I asked her to. “Is there any problem?” “Um, no, I just thought that since my brother-in-law and I work in the same hospital, we have never really crossed paths.” She grinned, flipping her hair to the side, trying to expose her cleavage. “So, I came here to say hi; we have never really had time to talk on a personal level.”

So, I understood the mission; she was here to seduce me.
