Chapter 9 Attack
My heart was pounding so hard it felt like it might burst from my chest, and I could feel my body shaking uncontrollably as my breath quickened in a frantic rhythm. I’d never felt such sheer terror in my life before.
As Brad and Alexander slowly advanced toward me, their movements deliberate and predatory, I instinctively stepped back, my voice trembling as I warned them to stand back or I’d call Carlos. But my pleas fell on deaf ears; they didn’t even flinch at my threat.
Brad scoffed, a cruel smile spreading across his face. "You thought you could reject me so easily, huh?" His voice dripped with frustration. "No one rejects me, and now I'm going to show you exactly what I mean by that." His words hung in the air like a dark cloud, suffocating the space around us with a palpable sense of malice.
I shook my head vigorously, trying to muster some courage. "No, you can’t do anything to me. I'm married to Carlos Mendoza, and if he finds out, he’s gonna kick your ass." My voice wavered, but I hoped the mention of Carlos would deter them.
They exchanged glances and then burst into laughter as if I had just made a bad joke. "Yeah, I’d like to see him try," Brad sneered, his eyes glinting with amusement as he took another step closer. Panic surged through me, and I quickly backed away, my instincts screaming at me to run. But before I could make my escape, Brad seized my arm, yanking me toward him with a force that left me breathless.
I gasped as Brad's grip tightened painfully around my arm, a wave of fear washing over me like icy water, freezing my thoughts. "Let go of me!" I shouted, my voice trembling as I tried to pull away, but he only laughed, a cruel smile spreading across his face as he reveled in my struggle.
"There’s no escape, sweetheart; you’re with me now," he taunted, his eyes gleaming with a twisted satisfaction. Just then, Brad stepped in, leaning in dangerously close, his breath hot and invasive against my skin. Panic surged through me, and just before he could close the distance to my lips, I instinctively kicked him right in the knee. He flinched back, eyes wide with shock, giving me the brief moment I needed to attempt an escape.
"You bitch!" he snarled, his voice low and menacing. "Get her, Alex!" he commanded, and in an instant, Alex lunged forward, grabbing me with a force that left me breathless. I fought against him, but his strength was overwhelming, far beyond my own.
"You have nowhere to run, sweetheart," Alex smirked, a predatory glint in his eyes as he pushed me to the ground. He pinned my legs down with one hand while Brad loomed over me, his grip on my wrists unyielding, leaving me trapped.
Tears began to form in my eyes and my heart rate increased. He leaned and buried his nose in my neck, he sniffed me intensely before he used his tongue to lick my neck. I cringe at the disgusting feel of his tongue on my skin. It made me want to punch him in the face so hard that he wouldn’t do that again.
"Stop! I said stop!" I screamed as tears rolled down my face.
"Stop screaming!" He warned lifting his head to look at me but I didn’t stop, I screamed so loud. That must have made Brad pissed at me because he instantly covered my mouth with his hand. His eyes intensified with anger and he warmed again "I swear on God that if you fucking scream again, I won’t just fuck you but I will fuck you so hard that no man will ever top that!"
As he spoke, I felt my heart beat racing hard in my chest. There was no sign of joke in his voice so I can tell that he meant what he said. Brad noticed I was quiet and a devilish grin appeared on his face as he slowly took his hand off my mouth and moved to my ear where he whispered "Now that you’re quiet, let me get this over with." His voice sent shivers down my spine as his disgusting hand came up to my neck, and traced a finger down my body. Goosebumps appeared on my skin and disgust filled me up.
I can’t do this, I can’t let him keep touching me like that, I need to do something. My skin crawled with disgust, as I felt his hand on my lower stomach. I held back the urge to vomit as I began to struggle harder to push him back but all my attempts went in vain.
Bard smirked at my struggle and used his thumb to crease my cheek. My heart started to beat at his touch; I hated it. He then forced my lips to apart away as he put his thumb inside my mouth. He moved it around my mouth making sure that each part of my mouth was covered with his filthy touch. While he did that, he licked his lips seductively.
He looked at me, my eyes brimming with tears, and smirked as his gaze traveled down to my pants where he paused. Before he could do anything, his attention shifted when he heard my name being called. I turned to see Carlos approaching, his expression filled with concern and anger. He marched towards Brad and Alex, and in a swift motion, he pushed Brad aside with surprising force while Amex instantly backed away.
"Get away from her!" Carlos shouted, his voice steady and commanding. The sudden power shift took both Brad and Alex by surprise. I saw the shock flash across their faces as Carol’s guards moved toward them, prompting Brad and Alex to quickly turn toward the exit. The guards pursued them, and at that moment, Carlos reached out to help me stand. Overwhelmed by a tidal wave of emotions, I instinctively wrapped my arms around him, seeking comfort in his presence.
Carlos held me close, his heart pounding against my chest, a steady rhythm that somehow brought me comfort. As he gently pulled away from our embrace, he wiped my tears with his thumb, his expression shifting to one filled with concern and anger. "How far did he touch you?" he asked, his voice low but intense.
I couldn’t reply. My heart raced, pounding in my ears, and fear gripped me at the thought that if Carlos hadn’t come when he did, things could have escalated beyond what I could bear. I was terrified, the reality of the situation crashing down on me like a heavyweight. My throat felt tight, and the words wouldn’t come. Instead of answering, I buried my face in his shoulder, seeking refuge in his warmth.
Sensing my distress, Carlos wrapped his arms around me again, pulling me in protectively as if to shield me from the world. "You're okay now," he murmured softly, his voice a soothing balm against the chaos of my thoughts. He gently rubbed my back for comfort as he said, "I’ll teach them a great lesson. You don’t have to worry; no one messes with my woman and gets away with it."
